This was our first time in Dublin and we knew we wanted to see more than the city. The Cliffs of Moher/Galway tour was just the thing. The drive to was gorgeous, full of lovely scenery we took in as Josh shared knowledge about the area and Ireland in general. The Cliffs were amazing - absolutely worth it. That said - come in rain proof gear, good grippy shoes and some leg strength as steps, hiking and powerful wind is a part of the experience. Galway is fun but the stop is brief for both eating at a sit down spot and shopping/exploring. if you want more time to shop, grab something quick and easy to save time. We opted to eat in a pub (Guinness stew!) and take more time and we didn't regret it but it was a concession - do what's best for you. My husband I agree that staying Galway for the night and coming back the next would be a good idea if they have room for it on the next days bus (check with the tour company first to make sure it's possible). The 4 instead of 5 stars is simply because we'd have loved one more hour in Galway so that we could have our cake and eat it too. The tour logistics are great - on time (come 20 mins early to be safe), bathroom break 2 hours in, then 1 hour ish to the Cliffs, 2 hours there (plenty of time to check out the view points, potty break and check out the visitor center), then a lovely drive to Galway. Sarah and Josh were knowledgeable and incredibly capable tour guides and drivers. I would highly recommend Wild Rover to anyone looking for a tour and WHEN we come back to Ireland, I'll be booking with them for my tours. read more

The flow of the tour was very convenient and entertaining. The driver and tour guide (Collin and Kennedy [I forgot Mr Kennedy's first name]) were efficient in their own respects. Kennedy provided a plethora of insightful information on pretty much everything about Ireland, along with his humor. Galway is an amazing town and visiting this intra day has provided the desire to stay a couple days in this town during a future visit. read more

I had two different tour guides for the two tours, Patrick and Kevin, and they were both very knowledgeable and nice! I went on their day trip to Cliffs of Moher. The guide was FABULOUS! Gave us great tips everywhere we went, but also recognized that not everyone wants to hang out with the guide. He gave us tidbits of knowledge and history through the drive, but was never so loud you couldn't sleep. We happened to have boomed on a day there was some wild weather. The guides were helpful to give tips on keeping safe, and kept the bus open in case anyone needed to run for cover at any point. Was super lovely and I can't say enough kind things! read more

Itinerary... 5/5 Guide... 4.5/5 Accommodations... 3/5 We had an excellent trip to Galway and the Cliffs of Moher. This route also has an awesome stop at the Barack Obama Service Station. Galway was an adorable city, and we were able to spend about 2 hours in the town before we spent an hour in traffic leaving town. The tour of the town was super short but showed off the Main Street of the town. The Cliffs of Moher was a fun stop, and there was plenty of time to check out this national site. There will be spray from the waves and changes in weather. My negative about this your would be it's bus loading procedures. Multiple tour buses heading to the same location loaded at the same time, but instead of distributing guests, every seat on a bus was filled to the max. This resulted in two buses full to the max and 3 with many empty seats. You can bet I was on the bus that was complete loaded up. read more

My friend and I took Wild Rover's day tour to Kilkenny, Wicklow Mountains, and Glendalough from Dublin a few days ago, and it was a wonderful experience. The tour was well designed (great stops, no drive in the bus too long, free time for wandering built in), and Neil (our driver) and Peter (our guide) were wonderful. I learned so much from Peter during our day with him! I would happily take another tour from them, and I highly recommend them if you are looking for a day trip from Dublin to make you feel like you've seen a bit of the countryside of Ireland as well! read more

What a jammed packed day from Dublin to Belfast. I sometimes get disenchanted with tours because they don't give you enough time at each stop. I was pleasantly surprised with the well balanced itineraries this company compiles. The key to any tour are the tour guide and the driver. Both were Stellar. Sean " the Bear" was extremely knowledgeable and most entertaining! He offered Just the perfect amount of commentary, very knowledgeable and even sang some fun tunes. I did the 3 back-to-back tours with my friends. The first was with John to Kilkenny and Wicklow Mountains. John was very funny and considerate; he answered every questions of ours! My next tour was with Niamh to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway. Niamh was also extremely nice and funny, I really enjoyed my bus ride with her! The next day, we went to Belfast and Giants Causeways with Maurice who was very kind and considerate. He kept us on schedule which was nice as we got back to Dublin just in time after a long day. One of the highlights of this specific tour was our Black Cab ride with Pat with the hat. He took the time to ride us around Belfast and shared very personal and impacting stories with us. He was very kind and patient as well! Lastly, but not the least, our drivers, Pete and Sarah were excellent! They both are great drivers as they managed the turns smoothly and maneuvered very narrow roads. read more

We went on 3 different trips with Wild rover. Every trip was impressive and the tour guides were so knowledgeable and charismatic. In particular, Antonio, Patrick, and David were all wonderful. The drivers were extremely experienced as well. I have bad motion sickness but to my surprise all the drivers drove so smoothly despite the narrow, winding roads. I would definitely recommend the Cliffs of Moher and Belfast trip! read more

Northern Ireland Tour - 5/5 Murphy and Paolo took very good care of us. I will say that Murphy was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about the country on the tour...his dad jokes were very entertaining as well. The Belfast taxi tour guide was the highlight! I didn't know about the wall's history or existence so learning about it through the eyes of a passionate local was the way to go. The Causeway of course was magnificent and we were given enough time to explore and rest. The Carrick a Rede bridge was also better than I expected. The pictures don't give the landscape justice. We were given enough time to see a GOT film and see the bridge...alas the wind prevented us from walking on the bridge itself. We also were lucky enough to sneak in a view of Dunlace Castle and the Dark Hedges as we drove past. Thanks for an awesome tour!!! read more

I took two day tours with Wild Rover - one to Belfast and one to Galway. Both were great but I preferred the one to Belfast due to the more interesting history and narrative along the way. The Black Taxi tour was wonderful! I appreciated the comfort stops and efficiency of the trip. I got to see so many places I wouldn't have been able to just on the train! My only suggestions would be not to arrive in Galway for dinner from 2-5 which is the exact time most restaurants close before dinner. I could not go to the restaurants I wanted because they were closed while I was there. It might have been a better itinerary to go to Galway first for lunch and then go to the Cliffs of Moher so the sun was setting instead of rising which is better for photos. read more

Empathetic Ms. Una Wild Rover Tours' (WTR) Ms. Una have empathy for my motion sickness. So did the rest of our group who were in line before us on Thursday, 5/25/23 for the Belfast tour. Thank you so much as none of those in line ahead of us made a stink. Heartfelt gratitude to all of them! When I thanked her at the end of our tour, she hugged me. May God bless Ms. Una. Ms. Sara explained that the reserved four seats in the 1st row were for fellow tourists with mobility limitations which makes sense. I thank Ms. E. Weisser, Ms. I. Rietveld and Ms. D. Navarro for informing Ms. Una and Ms. Sara of my request for front seats. I was prepared and packed throw-up bags in order not to permeate their tour bus with disgusting acidic smell and inconvenience vacationers. Ms. Una has a wealth of knowledge about Northern Ireland and its history. She pointed to us the sort of boundary between Ireland and Northern Ireland which was a hardly noticeable sign and the subtle change from yellow to white line on the side of the highway. We learned a lot about the Titanic at the museum. The Dunlace Palace needs 40 minutes as it has so many picturesque vantage points to take pictures of. Our time at the Giant's Causeway Coast was also fantastic with the varied sceneries. Ms. Una briefed us about two ways to walk to the coast and where the bathrooms were. The picture of the rope bridge is misleading though because we did not experience it; however, I may have missed the explanation. read more
