The gallery features several local artists, one of my new favorites being Steven Lester. I have found at least four of his paintings that I really love! It just feels "hometown" to me each time I come in. The owners are incredibly gracious and welcoming! Very knowledgeable about the artists represented there. I called to ask some questions about the art. Was told on numerous occasions that someone else is…read moreon vacation and they couldn't answer my questions only this one person could, but they're never there even when we're told they are and make a bit of a trip to get there and the person isn't there. I collect art with some pieces $100k+ with some from the baroque era and some that survived the world wars, so I know what I'm talking about. When I went in it was rudeness like they couldn't be bothered. Since I have many collections I started asking questions and the person working said they had no clue nor the did other people... they have zero knowledge of real art, nor do they care if they sale anything, so why even bother to have a place if you have no clue? In the end their art is completely worthless almost like a students art work, its pictures of dogs and bears and nothing of any value. It's more like they went to goodwill or a Ross store.

The piece I got was actually hand made in Colorado and not locally, but there were plenty of local pieces there to choose from. They have jewelry, paintings, pictures, pottery, etc. I wish I had found it sooner before I spent my vacation budget. The lady at the counter who I'm assuming is the owner was really nice as well and wrapped my mug up for me and offered to gift wrap it. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Blairsville.
