Our 18 year old cat recently passed. The empathy and compassion I was given was simply amazing. You can tell everyone there truly cares. Furthermore, we moved from Houston a couple of years ago and the cost here is much, MUCH lower for better service and care.

I went with a friend a year ago when their dog needed annual shots and was impressed with the staff because the dog is quite temperamental and is extremely difficult with new people. So I booked Fritz's annual appointment and we were on our way. The lobby is quite large which I like because it makes check in and filling out paperwork easier especially if there are multiple animals waiting on rooms or to be seen. Check in was easy and they were super prompt in getting us into a room. The room was also spotless. Everything was very clean in the facility. The Tech and the Vet who saw Fritz were both very patient and friendly. Fritz is a bit nervous around new people but they fed him plenty of treats and he thawed a bit. The staff was in no rush and were attentive, receptive to any questions or concerns, and most importantly to me-patient with the animal they were tending to. My other doggo Sam will be needing shots in the next month or so and I will definitely be returning.

(Sometimes you need to learn from your customers and make changes and here was your opportunity)…read moreNice at first but turned rude and unreasonable when logically anyone would have an issue at home with a dog in pain. We were given an eye serum where they draw blood to make eye drops for an eye ulcer. It was given to us with instructions to put 1-2 drops 3-4 times a day (in a squirming dogs eye)....given to us in a medicine plunger (the kind you'd put in an animals mouth instead of a bottle with a dropper. Both my husband and I tried it as we were in from out of state and headed home the next day. The plunger sticks when you try to push it and get just "1 drop at a time" and then sprays out everywhere on the floor. (We have both had probably 20 dogs in our lifetime and children so we know what works for eyes) We had to transfer the blood serum that night to another container, go to Walgreens and buy a dropper to get it 1-2 drops in a painful eye. I called the next day and they said they would have to get permission for a refund since we were on the road with a 12 hr drive and could not bring our dog back in to draw more blood since over half the serum was wasted and had gone all over the floor. Never heard back from them over a week and I call and they said "no we are not giving you a refund sorry it did not work out for you." And that response is pretty rude. I would've been content to hear something along the lines of "we will make changes and understand your concern and the trouble you went through"......So here I am because they refuse to acknowledge the trouble a plunger for an eye caused or refund us the $. We had to go to our vet at home and pay for another visit draw more blood and get more serum. All it takes is some common sense when you ask a pet owner to put drops in a squirming dogs eye. Again I will say....Sometimes you need to learn from your customers and make changes and here was your opportunity. I am certain I am not the only pet owner with this same situation. Whoever owns this place you decided wrong. We frequently visit MO and have 3 dogs and will not be back if we need a vet again.

Plug into google maps and off I go for my hour long drive, pull into this parking lot ... call inside to let them know we were here, but we were at the wrong vet.... OMG. What had I done . The vet I was talking with on the phone advised me where I was is also an avian vet and that they should be able to help me. So I go inside this Vet (Belton Animal Clinic and Exotic Care Ctr) and announced I was in the wrong place but hoped they could help. We had a good chuckle and they got me set up immediately in a room while waiting for the Vet. I couldn't believe they were available. While there the feather corrected itself and they were able to do a wing, nail and beak trim also. The vet tech and Dr Peck were the nicest people that my bird has ever been seen by. I was able to be in the room which made me feel so much more at ease as well as my bird. I can't get over how Great this place is!! It's super clean, the staff has extensive knowledge of birds, they're kind and gentle and the Number 1vet we've experienced in our 20 years together. I highly recommend!!!

BUT was misled on the price and what they were able to provide. I understand there's an issue with the bird flu right now but then I should've been told that!! Their excuses they just started that protocol this week and the front desk staff were not aware. That's a poor excuse and even if that is the case. They should have NOT have charged me for more than I was told!!! Especially since they could not do what I made the appointment for in the first place!!!! I would've not driven 1 hour, stressed myself and my bird out to pay $80 for advice. Shame on you!! !!! I should've never been charged 80$! I put down a $60 deposit because I haven't been there in a while, and I understand that. I was told the exam would be $55. Then they had the nerve after telling me how to go home and do it. I appreciate being educated because this is why I brought my bird to them.. But they don't understanding that I have to now go purchase a tool to do it at home myself. YOU make it hard on people who want to take care of their animals no matter what the economy is throwing at them! I GET IT WE ALL HAVE THINGS GOING ON, BUT I PAID FOR A SERVICE I DID NOT RECEIVE! SHAME, SHAME, SHAME !! You could've done better! You could've educated your staff ! You could've not lied AND THEN STILL CHARGE ME FOR A SERVICE I DIDN'T RECEIVE AND HAVE TO DO MYSELF. I apologize for repeating myself, but I am pissed. This is what big corporate does!! Screw the little man while taking their money! I am so mind blown right now ! I have worked in this industry for a very long time. It makes me sad to say this is a place you should not take your animal.
