(He said vanilla syrup for a touch of sweetness, and I think they also added extra earl grey syrup, which they make themselves!) And you know what? It tasted exactly like fruity pebbles! Their hours are a bit limited (Wednesday-Friday from 6:30 AM to 2 PM, and Saturday-Sunday from 8 AM to 2 PM). I made sure to come back when they were open, and I'm so glad I did. The gentleman who took my order was incredibly knowledgeable and provided excellent customer service. I ordered the Sam's Sip which is a honey lavender latte with soft top and it was perfectly made. If you prefer a sweeter drink, you can even ask for it a little extra sweet. This has officially become my go to spot whenever I'm in the area. It's a coffee truck located in the parking lot of an auto repair shop, but don't let that fool you because it's definitely worth checking out!

I was so pleased to see many people stop by to celebrate with them. The trailer is so cute. Their whole aesthetic is so nostalgic. They have a red retro fridge in the trailer and their merch gives high school varsity vibes. They sell shirts, sweaters, stickers, etc, and of course, their coffee and matcha. Most trailers and trucks will serve your drink in a to-go cup but when I ordered my cortado they offered to serve it in a ceramic cup! How cool is that? It made my experience much more enjoyable, because cortados tend to pick up that paper cup flavor. Their espresso-based drinks are as delicious as I remember, and I also ordered an iced Pooh Bear. It's just as tasty iced as it is hot. I can't wait for Calico Coffee to thrive in their new location. If this is around your stomping grounds, do yourself a favor and come visit. Bucky and I made the drive to the HEB Plus and found the truck. Interestingly enough, they operate kinda like a drive-thru, but they accept walk-ups, too. For myself, I got the cortado and I asked for a recommendation. She suggested a Tres Leches cold brew with cinnamon. Right on - I went ahead and ordered it. The cortado was ver nice, with minimal paper cup flavor. It was smooth with a roasted flavor, and a nice, creamy viscosity. A pretty good, respectable cortado. The Tres Leches cold brew reminds me of merienda with my family in Brownsville, despite us usually not having cold coffee - haha. But the flavors were delicious. The coffee was strong, but still had that "flavored latte" taste I tend to enjoy on a hot day. That tres leches foam is truly a delight. If I lived closer, I'd probably be here every day they're open. However, now that I know that they're really good, I may have to make some frequent stops.
