The food was catered and not off a menu which you would think would be easier to manage and faster. In my recent experience they brought us a bottle of water shortly after sitting but no glasses to pour the water into. 20 mins later we finally received glasses for our water after going to the bar and asking, only to be told that she was filling them. 10 mins later a basket of dinner rolls was brought to us with no plates to put them on. After another 10 mins of wonder if our meal was on the way, we decided to just start eating the dinner rolls. 15 mins later they came around with a cart and asked if someone wanted beef. I took the beef but the three ladies at my table preferred chicken so I paused to eat but figured with the delays that they wouldn't be coming soon and decided to eat. It took the sponsor of our event to tell the staff that there were three people at this table who needed a plate. By that time, I had already finished my meal, the server had taken my plate, and nobody was hungry anymore. We decided to go elsewhere for a meal after paying our respects to the family. Totally unacceptable for a catered meal to be so mismanged and delayed. I would not recommend this business to anyone nor return for even a free meal. You deserve better!

We got in and the staff was super Welcoming and Friendly. You can do your waiver on their website to save some time. I've never really done the ninja obstacles before and even with working out pretty consistently it was challenging! They even have a kids area and fun kids classes and events thought they week. The place has an endless imagination and unlimited potential. The owner is super cool. He was showing us how to do the obstacles and opened up the place completely to us. If you want a place your kids can blow off some energy or a place where you want to try your hand at some of the obstacles give this place a shot. It was only $10 an hour and in my eyes totally worth it. Glad I got a chance to support this business.

Chase, the properties manager is so friendly and very knowledgeable able the area . I think that of all the many places we have been able to visit , this by far has been the most pleasant and peaceful places we have been . The Green Mansion in Fall of Rough Ky is a gem .

It's a wonderful oasis, quiet and calm in all seasons but especially nice in the summer and Fall. The hosts (Patti & Larry) are the nicest people you'll ever meet and are super accomodating. There are good trails for hiking and plenty of fish in lake. I very highly recommend this for a weekend or week away from the "hustle & bustle."

I do think with a payment of $500 (checking in on a Friday at three and checking out on a Sunday at noon) for the weekend there were several things that could be upgraded or changed. As I understand we are located in the woods, it would be very helpful if the owners would "debug" the outside deck. There were nests belonging to wasps, hornets, mud daubers and some other crazy huge flying stinging insect all over the place. Let me add there were also spiderwebs with living HUMUNGOUS eight-legged creatures weaved in and out of the surrounding area too. Some so bad we couldn't even take advantage of the hot tub the first night. The place could have definitely used a good cleaning. There was dust, hair and dead bugs in multiple places inside. The cabin also had a musty smokey smell to it. Not appealing. One of the worst things in my opinion were their bath towels smelling of mildew and mold. Just yuck!!!!! If you picked one up your hand would immediately stink. It really doesn't take a lot of money to buy a few new towels. It needs to be done ASAP. This cabin has so much potential. I really wanted to give it a better rating. The layout was perfect. Two bedrooms, one full bathroom and a living room, kitchen, dining room combo. There was also a loft sitting area at the top of the stairs, and a gas fireplace downstairs. On the porch there was a big hot tub, gas grill, four chairs and a nice porch swing. Then leading down from the house to the lake there was a path and a dock that had a two person fishing boat tied to it. If you're interested in getting in some exercise there was also a nice gravel road/trail going around the lake along with a few extra hiking trails in the surrounding woods. With several minor changes and an effort to spruce up the place, I would be glad to rate it four or even five stars next time!
