This was my favorite giftshop I found. It was tucked away in the back, but worth looking for. There was a great selection of souvenirs at fantastic prices. I got the cuttest magnet at the best price out of any of the shops. There was a cute gem mining station near by along with a giant bear and life size garden knome. A big shop with lots of different types of stuff: T-shirts, jewelry, stones, toys. I bought a canvas tote with folk music instruments on it, some postcards, and a magnet. The tshirts are all bundled up so check them before you buy because my boyfriend just went by the size but when we got home and he unfurled it he realized it was a long sleeved women's tee and was too small for him ...so new shirt for me! read more

I actually went looking for a birdhouse they had some but extremely overpriced. The had a lot of eclectic items and I would says if you wanted rocks or stones they had a huge assortment. I was looking for something special so didn't spend a lot of time once I realized they didn't have what I wanted this wasn't the shop for me but for some I bet they would love. I can't comment on service as I didn't request assistance or buy anything. read more

I would be willing to bet this was the largest gift shop in Helen, and deffo the best. The variety was great, and not the same cheap kitschy stuff you would expect to find. The clothing was very expensive, but they had project landmark stuff - so I approve. From walking sticks to stickers, you can expect to find it here. It was easy to get into, check out, and get out. It is behind the main street strip of shops but right on the parking lot too. I was able to get all of my friends and family gifts here and they are all of varying ages and interests. read more

A bit more handmade and a bit less "imported from China" here, this shop has all sorts of trinkets to hang on to and remember your visit to the mountains of north Georgia. The windchimes and the pinwheels were particularly pretty we were the wood carvings and stone carvings. Much of it had a definite feel of "hand made" and that's pretty cool. This is hands down our favorite shop in Helen! Tucked just off the main strip, it's a hidden gem that's totally worth the visit--you won't regret stopping by. The selection of wind chimes, unique gifts, and clothing is amazing, and everything feels so thoughtfully picked. We were so surprised at price of the magnets--they were like 1/2 the price of others we saw in town! I love that the items are high quality and truly unlike anything else you'll find in town. I really wanted to like this store. Kitschy all over. But the cultural appropriation is a bit over the top. Native American cultural appropriation to be exact. Make your own dream catcher, wood carved things with Native American faces carved in. The gnomes were cute as were the bear stuff. Handicapped accessibility is thru the back of the store and seems to go in a round about way. No employee greeted me while I was in the store, but I guess that is because this is a touristy town and they don't really have to work in order to bring in revenue. Prices are a bit on the high side. read more

This was my favorite shop in Helen! In a town full of mass produced t shirt/magnet/sticker shops, it really stands out as something special. Lots of variety. We did find t shirts, hats, stickers, keychains. But also jewelry, wall prints and plaques, purses made by Napalese women, expensive knives and leather goods, geodes. Lots of arty items. read more

Initially I wasn't expecting to like as many things as I did at Wildewood. And while I didn't end up buying anything during my visit here, that doesn't mean I didn't want to. One of my favorite things about Wildewood is the indoor-outdoor aspect to it. It feels like a market of sorts. So many great times to see, from t shirts and blankets and even gem stones. They had a great great deal on blankets while I was there, but living in South Florida, there was no real need for the heavy blankets they were selling. They had really cool wind chimes outside that clanged along as you shopped. The inside had some really cool home decor items too. This would be a great place to get gifts for someone you really wanted to give a good gift you, this isn't a saltwater taffy kind of gift place. The things here are nice. I would have liked to spent more time looking at all the gem stones, but I guess that means I just have to come back. There are a lot of touristy stores on and off of Main Street in Helen, but I think Wildewood is a notch above the rest. read more

Saturday, April 5th While walking around the Village of Helen, we went down one of the many alley ways and found this wonderful shop hidden in the back. This shop was full of rocks and wood creations like outside decorations for your garden and windchimes. There was this guy there playing music on a wooden flute and another guy was making some type of art project to sell in the shop out of WILDE WOOD (items from Nature) to make the item... I liked this shop but I think mainly I liked the flute music!!!! read more

Really cute store. I've visited twice when staying at a cabin nearby and have been tickled each time by that moment when a breeze sweeps by and all the wind chimes in the store come alive. What a beautiful, healing sound! It's worth going for that alone. They have cute/eclectic decor for your outdoor space or garden and unique pieces for the home that will make a thoughtful gift. I enjoy browsing the stones and the jewelry and struggling over which wind chime to bring home with me. read more

Oh, let me tell you that this shop is my child's heaven on earth: He is fascinated by wind chimes and that is your best place to get some of the coolest ones. You will find all sizes and prices. We also found some gems at the clearance spot, on the corner of their porch. It's an awesome place to find jewelry, rustic home accents , inspirational merchandise, unique gifts, some rustic furniture, among other things my eyes couldn't catch in only one visit. While walking around town this week I found this awesome little shop. The staff was super friendly and the prices aren't that bad for a tourist town. The shop is well organized and clean. If you get a chance you should stop in. Also if you need directions any where these young ladies were able to accommodate with simple precise directions not only for me but for a few other customers as well. (They were even kind to the people who didn't buy anything but only wanted directions) It was so nice to see that these young adults working hard and smiling which you don't find often. I will be visiting this shop again on my next visit. read more
