Especially because of my skin tone and I wanted to have a very natural look. Daniella did my makeup. She asked me many questions to make sure she understood the concept I was going for. She was very gentle with the makeup. And was a perfectionist. She has the passion to do makeup and enjoyed it which made the service much more enjoyable. She did a natural tone makeup and didn't have problems with my lashes! It looked great. Maddy did my hair, and my curls stayed on all through my photoshoot and the next day! I couldn't believe it! I would definitely make this my go to place for hair and makeup for my events.

My appointment was for October, the text confirmed my October date but then it rescheduled me for the next day (in July). It did ask me to confirm but I was focused on the time - and never assumed it would change my October appointment to July!!! Well it did and then they charged me the full amount for my appointment when I didn't show up - $140! The owner told me I was out of luck and did nothing to help. Completely refused to acknowledge the misunderstanding. Terrible customer service! Will never be going back and will be sure to tell everyone I know not to do business with them!

The haircut was great. I do love the length and how that looks, however the color is not what I wanted/nor asked for. I asked for black and got a medium-dark brown. I had intentionally let my hair grow out (as I had bleached some of it, box dyed, etc.) so I could do a shoulder length cut, to cut off most of the damaged/box dyed hair. So the majority of the hair she was dying was my natural hair color/hadn't been touched by chemicals, so nothing else at play with my hair to make the request hard to do/question what the intended results should be. What I was left with was medium-dark brown, maybe a couple shades darker than my natural hair color (a more light-mediumish brown) she was dying, on the majority of my hair, but on the ends of my hair was actual black (from where I had box dyed it previously). After the color, and blow dry, she did ask how I liked the color, and I mentioned that it was lighter than I was expecting, since I asked for black and it was CLEARLY brown. I didn't get an offer to darken it more (was on a time crunch, but she could have offered to reschedule to fix), I didn't get an offer for a discount since I payed $130 for something that when it was over, I could have gotten/and HAVE gotten better/more accurate results from $20 box dye at home. I'm not trying to knock her, she was nice and the cut was great, but I was disappointed.

During those 3 years we were a part of and overheard multiple conversations with Tracy AND Katie about what a great "color specialist" Tracy was. So when my daughter had a stage show coming up and couldn't wait until Katie was back from early maternity leave, it seemed like a no-brainer for her to schedule with Tracy. She told Tracy what she wanted, and Tracy assured her she could do it. Unfortunately, Tracy was NOT a "color specialist" and colored my daughter's hair black and then tried to "fix it" by BLEACHING it, causing severe chemical damage. The result was extensive breakage and compromised hair integrity that began an expensive 6-month journey (almost $600 to date) to try and repair. What made this even more upsetting was Tracy wasn't up front about what was happening. Instead, she was taking pictures of my daughter's hair and going to the back of the salon to send them to Katie to see what to do. But my daughter was already upset and was texting me telling me she had ORANGE streaks in her hair. She even had my daughter PAY for this damage. I called Katie and told her what happened and that's when she told me about Tracy sending her pictures, etc. on the day the damage was done. She couldn't believe Tracy had charged my daughter for the visit and immediately refunded her money. She told us we had every right to be upset and that she would try her best to fix it when she got back in the salon, but that it would be a process. She later told me that Tracy realized she was "in over her head" and didn't know what to do, as if that mattered. As a result, my daughter had to do every sold out show with her hair in this condition. So the process began to try and get my daughter's hair back to it's normal "Pre-Tracy" condition. As of last week when we went for our regular appointment with Katie, my daughter's hair came out a bluish gray. I asked her if my daughter's hair would ever be back to normal and she could not say for certain. Then she tried to downplay the damage as if we couldn't see it for ourselves. My daughter became very upset because on one side of her hair it feels like straw and looks damaged....not to mention the bluish gray color. And this is after 3 or 4 visits (which my daughter paid for) to try and fix the damage that Tracy caused. Katie made it very clear she had done all she could to try and fix my daughter's hair. She became very heated and unprofessional, raising her voice to us and saying that if we weren't satisfied with the process we could part ways. NEVER ONCE did we say ANYTHING NEGATIVE about ANYTHING Katie had done to try and fix my daughter's hair, so this caught us completely off guard! Needless to say we left there very upset and have vowed to NEVER return to this salon. To this day Tracy has NEVER had the decency to apologize to my daughter for what happened, and even hid in the back of the salon when we had appointments. So now we are left to try and find a REAL color specialist to try and repair my daughter's hair. I am leaving this review as a warning to unsuspecting trusting people looking for someone to do their hair. Do NOT trust Tracy with any color services. Please see pictures. Thank you.
