The crew arrived in an unmarked truck and walked into my apartment without knocking. When they realized I was inside, they turned around and left -- then told my manager I wasn't prepared because my plants weren't removed. Some of my plants are heavy and would have required extra care or assistance to move, but no one offered help or discussed options. When I left for them to do the work, I kept my camera on for peace of mind. At some point, they unplugged it, saying it was a "fire hazard." But left all other electronics plugged in and on. When I returned, I noticed a back-to-school gift card for my niece was missing. I can't say for sure what happened to it, but the entire situation left me feeling uncomfortable and distrustful. In my opinion, better communication, proper entry protocol, and respect for a tenant's personal property are essential in this line of work. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect that.

I have since reached out to the estimator guy, who returned my call once, but refuses to provide me with customer service contact (they have since my service been taken over by Terminex). Now, he doesn't respond. I am incredibly bummed at the lack of customer service or efficacy of their work. Do Not Use Them.

I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews. I understand accidents happen, projects don't always go as…read moreplanned, and I'm generally willing to give companies the opportunity to make things right. Unfortunately, this was, without question, the worst contractor experience I've ever had. I found Green Rodent Restoration through Nextdoor after seeing their positive reviews and the mention of potential SCE rebates. Although I later learned I didn't qualify for the rebate, I decided to move forward because the estimate and scope of work made sense. Rony was very thorough in explaining the process. During the attic work, including the insulation installation, my home sustained three separate areas of ceiling damage, including one where a worker stepped completely through the ceiling. When I raised my concerns, the foreman suggested it was because there weren't enough boards in the attic for the crew to walk on. As the homeowner, I hired professionals because I expected they knew how to safely perform this type of work. Before the crew left, I was told the attic fan would need to be rescheduled because of an issue. This only came up after they had already asked me for payment. Had I not pushed back, I believe they would have left without completing a major part of the project. When I questioned it, the foreman was dismissive rather than taking ownership of the situation. What disappointed me most was the lack of respect for my property. The crew shook a blanket full of insulation and debris into my front yard. When Green Rodent Restoration sent a contractor to repair the damage, the experience didn't improve. The contractor used my bathroom without cleaning up afterward, dumped dirty mop water containing soap and debris into my front yard, left drywall dust throughout my home, and I later discovered fresh scrapes on my staircase railing that were not there before. While the ceiling repairs are better than the original damage, they still don't look like a professional finished product. The cleanup and overall attention to detail also fell well below what I expected. In my opinion, Green Rodent Restoration should have had a supervisor or foreman present while the restoration work was being completed to ensure it was done properly. Communication afterward has been equally disappointing, and I have had to follow up repeatedly throughout this process. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Green Rodent Restoration. My advice is to take your time, compare several companies, and don't make your decision based solely on reviews or the possibility of rebates. I only wish I had shopped around more before making my decision.
