I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews. I understand accidents happen, projects don't always go as planned, and I'm generally willing to give companies the opportunity to make things right. Unfortunately, this was, without question, the worst contractor experience I've ever had. I found Green Rodent Restoration through Nextdoor after seeing their positive reviews and the mention of potential SCE rebates. Although I later learned I didn't qualify for the rebate, I decided to move forward because the estimate and scope of work made sense. Rony was very thorough in explaining the process. During the attic work, including the insulation installation, my home sustained three separate areas of ceiling damage, including one where a worker stepped completely through the ceiling. When I raised my concerns, the foreman suggested it was because there weren't enough boards in the attic for the crew to walk on. As the homeowner, I hired professionals because I expected they knew how to safely perform this type of work. Before the crew left, I was told the attic fan would need to be rescheduled because of an issue. This only came up after they had already asked me for payment. Had I not pushed back, I believe they would have left without completing a major part of the project. When I questioned it, the foreman was dismissive rather than taking ownership of the situation. What disappointed me most was the lack of respect for my property. The crew shook a blanket full of insulation and debris into my front yard. When Green Rodent Restoration sent a contractor to repair the damage, the experience didn't improve. The contractor used my bathroom without cleaning up afterward, dumped dirty mop water containing soap and debris into my front yard, left drywall dust throughout my home, and I later discovered fresh scrapes on my staircase railing that were not there before. While the ceiling repairs are better than the original damage, they still don't look like a professional finished product. The cleanup and overall attention to detail also fell well below what I expected. In my opinion, Green Rodent Restoration should have had a supervisor or foreman present while the restoration work was being completed to ensure it was done properly. Communication afterward has been equally disappointing, and I have had to follow up repeatedly throughout this process. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Green Rodent Restoration. My advice is to take your time, compare several companies, and don't make your decision based solely on reviews or the possibility of rebates. I only wish I had shopped around more before making my decision. read more

Cleared out all my old insulation, went around my house, inside n out, and sealed any potential entrances for rodents by replacing all the vent covers, meshes, etc., installed a new air-return vent for our HVAC system and prepped the entire attic for new ducts n insulation in just 2 short days! Steve came to my house in Marina del Rey to assess the issue and price out a solution - the aim was to find a critter that died inside a wall, clean up the attic and the crawl space and seal up all the ways into the house around the crawl space and the attic and the air vents. Martin came out a few days later with his team to do the enormous job - he and his crew were efficient and effective, and thankfully, Martin was persistent in finding the spot in the ceiling that this critter had died, making the neccessary holes,, cleaning out the spaces, and sealing them up again. Another team will be out soon to inspect both the attic and the crawl space to see if the house is still rodent-free, then I will get all new insulation. This company was by far the best we saw in the Santa Clarita are. Steve, the initial inspector, was kind and upfront about all the problems we had (many many years of rodent infestation, and asbestos ducts in the attic). They had to call in a third party to get rid of the asbestos, but we paid everything and handled everything through Green Rodent. Martin and his team came​ out for two days of cleaning, hole patching, trap setting of the attic, garage and exterior house. Martin and his team did an amazing job in a timely manner. They were able to address our concerns in real time and went above and beyond to make sure our house was safe from further rat infestations. Overall everyone at this company was great to work with when we had questions (and we had plenty). Our attic is about 700 sq ft, and the house is about 1400 sq ft. The cost was about $10,700 which included asbestos clean out, attic clean out, rat containment, decontamination, rodent proofing of the attic and exterior, furnace closet clean out and proofing (bc the rats got into it), garage cleaning/decontamiation/proofing, reinstalling insulation and ducts, 2 year warranty AND a custom outside door that goes from the garage to the side of the house (not main garage door if that makes sense). It might seem pricey but in comparison to a different company in our area who quoted around the same price but didnt actually go into the attic to see what was up (aka didnt see the extent of damage/didnt know asbestos was there/ didnt know we would need the new ducts so didnt quote for that) and didnt have the additional custom door, picking Green Rodent was a no brainer. Newbie to all things rodents.... found some rat droppings in our basement while putting away Christmas decorations and was DREADING finding someone to come out and asses the situation. I found Green Rodent Restoration called them on Wednesday, they arrived on a Friday to asses the situation. Jerry came and had a plan to get the house cleaned up and the crawl space sealed.. by the following Thursday Martin & Sergio came and spent the day getting the entire space completely cleaned up and sealing all of the entry points. The work was so clean and professional. Even to the point that they made NEW wood covers for a few of the crawl space points because the wood from the original ones was disintegrating. They also set traps and are going to come back in a few weeks to check their work. I believe they have a pretty solid warranty as well if any return visitors make their way back in. 110% satisfied with this service. We had rats in our attic which was filled with multiple types of insulation including blown in which made identifying entry points impossible. I tried getting rid of them myself by setting traps but quickly realized I was losing the battle and needed professionals. Our situation was pretty gnarly but Martin and his crew did a thorough job identifying the entry points and sealing everything up. They also kept the work area very clean. hired Green Road restoration a couple of years ago to take care of a really bad rat issue in my attic. They did a pretty good job however a year or so has gone by and I am not seeing any rats, but I have gotten a few mice in my attic, and I contacted them because their ad says that they have a lifetime warranty but when I contact them, they say they do not have a lifetime warranty and they want to charge me another $250 to come out just to do a quick inspection which I am capable of doing myself, I would not use them They promised a lifetime warranty and they did not follow through. read more

I am so grateful to have found Green Rodent restoration when I did. I had recently purchased a home in Ojai and we discovered after I took possession of it that my home was infested with rats- for likely several years. I employed several companies prior to Green Rodent that were ineffective in assessing and remedying my infestation and frankly had no real knowledge of what is necessary in remediation- I lost about 10k with those companies and still had an unlivable home. It was very extensive- rats infested my entire attic and insulation, hvac ducts, and interior walls had to be removed - exterior and interior entry points. Green rodent thoroughly assessed, remediated and restored my home. the restoration was costly due to all that it entailed- tearing and replacing walls and beams and ducts- they were very fair, honest and meticulous. Their employees/contractors and workers were very knowledgable and went above and beyond. It's been almost two years since they completed the remediation and Green Rodent has come back -multiple times- free of charge to do follow up inspections. No rats inside. Its an acre of property in Ojai so it will always be a challenge- but having Green Rodent to call - to stay on top of it- makes me feel secure that I can prevent anything like this again. We discovered we had rats in the attic and Green Rodent was able to come out quickly to assess and ultimately resolve the situation. Our job was pretty extensive and the guys were very thorough and neat. They made sure to leave the house in the shape they found it - no scuffs or dings on the walls or trash in the yard (they had to remove all our attic insulation and bring it outside through a second floor bedroom window, so the fact that there were no issues is saying a lot!) They cleaned the attic, removed then replaced the insulation and sealed up all exterior holes. Throughout the process everyone I dealt with was very clear and helpful with their explanations of what was going on, showing me photos of the attic space and what they found and were doing. I was also able to get someone on the phone when I called with questions, which was great. It ended up being on the expensive side but considering the size of the job and the quality of work that was done, I think it was worth it. It has now been a few months since I signed up for their monthly service and the technician Hector did not come out for the last 2 months (also got a message that he was out yesterday and no one showed up which prompted me to call) yet they have been charging me $85/a month. I have 2 Ring cameras that are always on. All 3 days that there was suppose to be a visit, nothing. I called Green Rodent Restoration, I spoke to someone who put me on hold then someone else named Barbara came on the line. I explained to her what the situation was that I have 2 cameras that have not seen Hector in 3 months and even gave her the dates. All she said was that Hector will call me back, no apology for the inconvenience or anything. I asked how can I get out of this contract and her only response was "you don't, you can speak to the manager Christina when she's back from vacation I don't want to argue with you. There is a report that he was there" with a nasty attitude. How are you being nasty towards me for disputing a service I'm paying for? BOTH Ring cameras are just missing him specifically but picking up everyone else that comes to either one of my doors? I'm so disappointed in this company, but I'm happy I actually went back and checked my cameras. I had heard scratching and on occasion biting in our attic. We had set up snap traps and had caught some rats, but it was endless. We had many sleepless nights. It was a losing battle. Then, one day I saw a Green Rodent Restoration (GRR) car in our neighborhood and snapped a picture of the Company's name and phone number. I followed up with a call and Steve (he was the one who I saw getting out of the car in our neighborhood) came out and inspected the house, identified all the openings that needed to be sealed, showed and gave us pictures, gave us an estimate, explained what needed to be done, and he answered all our questions. Everything was upfront. He was very impressive and very patient - answering all the questions we had. He's very professional, very knowledgeable, and is very nice. He's didn't pressure us at all. We had never experienced doing a job like this before. At Steve's suggestion, I did go by the house, where I saw GRR car and asked the resident how the job went. I also read all the Yelp reviews for GRR. We hired GRR - Steve was a major factor in us hiring them. We could tell through him that we were going to be well taken care of by a professional company, who would do things right. They also invest in their employees- sending them to training classes. Steve knows all about rats. You can tell he loves his job and is great at it. Steve had a high regard for their crews, so that made us feel better too. Well, Steve was right, Rony, our technician and lead, and his crew were awesome. Rony was always on time, very professional, knowledgeable, nice, did great and neat work, was very respectful of our property and they really take the time to seal their work area - so the debrie is contained, he communicated throughout the process, and he showed us pictures of the job- before and after, and they clean up and wear booties in the house. This company has hired some AWESOME employees, who handle the job professionally, The company does everything right- communicating when and who is coming to do the job and confirms with you a day ahead of time the date/time - when the crew is coming. I wish I could give them higher than 5 stars. They really stand out and we are grateful that they took the stress out of the equation - after we hired them to deal with our rats. They took care of everything. Rats are a common problem everywhere. If you find yourselves hearing or seeing rats in your attic or in your house, and you find you can't control the situation. Don't hesitate to contact and hire them. You will save yourself a lot of stress. I do want to point out though, that it's not a cheap job. It is costly, but the rats can do a lot of damage to one's house. A house in the neighborhood burned down from the rats chewing the electrical wires. They can bite through drywall, stucco, electrical wires etc. They can even bite through tubing and wires in your car, if they get in your garage. Also, their droppings can spread disease. These guys are the best! Trust me when I say you are going to love them! I wouldn't trust anyone else for this type of work. We used Green Rodent about a year ago to rid our attic of squirrels. Such a thorough job - cleaned out the nests and removed all soiled insulation They then sprayed an enzyme that rodents hate and sealed up all possible entrances with metal grating. About 6 months later I thought I heard noises so they came back and checked the attic at no further cost. (No new squirrels thankfully but they set traps anyway just to be sure and returned a few weeks later to retrieve the traps) Today they came out to see if squirrels are back in the attic. we originally had an appointment for January 25 but a cancellation came and Barbara texted me at 2:10. and 3:30 they were finished. They found what was causing the racket and fully secured our home in a new spot under the gutters. Squirrels can be persistent! The men were impeccable , extremely well spoken and knowledgeable. They worked quietly and wore shoe protectors. I wish I had taken their names so I could thank them again here. These folks are awesome. I brought them in to assess a rat problem in the Hollywood Hills and ended up hiring them to do a full service. They showed up with a large crew (headed by Isaias) and basically removed damaged HVAC ducts, contaminated insulation, etc, and then sealed all the points of entry and replaced the ducts and insulation, etc. My impression was that they did a very thorough job inside and out. They even actually fixed some loose floor tiles in my kitchen where some grout had worn away, and they also fixed a completely unrelated issue with my refrigerator door that had been driving us nuts for years. I didn't even ask them to do these things and they were unrelated to their work but it was totally awesome! It's been a couple of months and so far seems that the issue has been taken care of. They also have a one year warranty on the service. It was an expensive job but I have a large home and it felt like a fair price for what it included. We heard scratching in the attic and discovered we had a rat infestation. Green Rodent gave a competitive quote and it seemed like they did a good job cleaning, they even had to replace our insulation. In our contract we had a warranty guaranteeing the work. Shortly after the work was completed, we heard more rats. They've had to come monthly pretty much since the work was done to continue taking out the rats. Then after May, they stopped returning our calls when we called to schedule even though we still hear scratching in the attic. We've called multiple times and every time someone takes a message saying someone will call us back and they haven't. Not only did they not fully eliminate the problem, but it's very unprofessional to skip out on the terms of their warranty. read more

Along with clearing everything in the attic and replacing the insulation they did the same with some of the walls in which mice were trapped.
