We decided to drive out to his studio in Utah to get the full experience even though he comes out to L.A. every so often. I emailed Josh and had no problem setting a date/time that worked for everyone. After a very cold sleep deprived 24 hr roundtrip drive I can still say it was worth it. Josh is an all around great person. He even suggested local food/sites for us to see. As a photographer he was super friendly, informative and patient. My dog was trying to runaway and hide for a good while. He brought out several toys and even a blanket to put her at ease. He even changed the backdrop cuz he said some dogs freak out with too much white. Who'd have known? Anyway the raw pictures looked great so I'm really excited to see/order the final products. I love my dog and would never have even thought about having a professional take pictures of her but i'm so glad I did :) It's a unique gift to give/receive not to mention a very memorable experience :D I'd totally book him again in the future.

I am seldom impressed to this level with an individual, and as intelligent, observant, charismatic, insightful etc as Ms Nordstrom appears here, in person (multiply by at least five) I was completely floored with the sheer amount of knowledge she conveyed to me, how impressive and intensive she was in observing and training my pup, (or me, really..) and how quickly it became apparent that I actually know far less about dogs and their training than I could even guess compared to someone like this who has amassed such an amazing library of knowledge and experience..plus..she's exactly as fun and personable as she appears here. I'm absolutely sure she doesn't need this advertising, but, as a way of me giving additional thanks to her, if you are wanting beyond expert training, go see her as soon as you can!!

We have been through socialization training with her and she is doing better. We were going on a road trip and we needed a place to care for her. We were very unsure of how she would do. We toured Ruff Life Resort first and were VERY impressed. The staff were very welcoming and showed us around. One thing I noticed right away was how good it smelled. They keep everything super clean. They offer a variety of suite sizes too. Since this was her first experience, they evaluated her first and with their expertise placed her with a group of dogs that she was actually able to make friends with. She had never been able to do that before. They have five large yards, indoor and out. Their is always someone with the dogs in the yards too. We got pictures and reports everyday on how she was doing and it made my heart happy to see how happy she was and we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing she was being very well cared for. They even bathed her and washed her stuffy toy we had for her. We will most definitely book this resort the next time we need to board her. Definitely a 10 out of 10.

They truly are concerned about pets. I have so much positive to say about Rhonda and Second Chance…read morefor Homeless Pets. I've adopted three kittens from them. The kittens were always very well taken care of and you could tell that they came from quality foster homes. Very reasonable, adoption fees, spayed, and neutered and current on vaccinations. I've also had the pleasure of fostering kittens with Second Chance. The owner does what she says and supplies you with everything you need to take care of the animals. The commitments are not long and she is able to take the animals back as promised and on time. I recently was in there, and there was a woman trying to adopt a dog. It was obvious the woman did not have a home. The owner was not going to allow the woman to adopt the dog because she did not have a safe place for the dog to live. Although the woman was very upset, the owner was very professional and kind as she explained that she could not in good conscience adopt a pet out that didn't have a safe environment. percent she is concerned about the welfare of the animals. I will always refer people to them whether they're in the market to adopt an animal or if they're interested in fostering or volunteering there it's a great place with low overhead and a lot lot of love.!

The people who run this organization are incredibly charitable and put so much effort into these dogs and cats. I recently visited and they had three dogs available. They were happily running around inside their enclosures outside under the shade of the tree. There were lots of other dog runs/kennels that looks much smaller, but also like they were no longer in use. There were not a lot of animals to choose from-but maybe that's because they all found homes or were in foster homes when we visited. Hopefully that's the case-and they are getting closer to their goal of No More Homeless Pets!

I ended up signing up to volunteer…read morehere once a week because I couldn't afford to adopt but really wanted to spend time with the adorable dogs and cats and wonderful people at Furburbia. It is a no-kill facility that takes pets from other shelters in the area. They take serious care of these animals and make sure to find them safe home. The animals are neutered, given shots, and groomed before being adopted. They even have their own bios. Check out the "Pets looking for love" section of the Park Record for some of the bios on these pets.

It's a little chaotic on the weekend since it's in the outlet mall but don't let that deter you if you're serious about adopting a pet. Go in during the week and the staff will take their time with you, let you get acquainted with the animals and help you through the entire process.

She didn't give me any info about how they operate the adoption center all she told me was I can't see the dogs. This is my first time inquiring about an animal in Utah so educate me on how you run things here don't just talk to me like I'm a 2 yr old. I'd figure they would be glad to have an animal go to a nice home but apparently she could care less. Maybe a desk job with no human interaction would be a good recommendation for her!
