I am torn in this rating. Thid store itself definitely deserves 5 Stars, however paying your bill…read moreonline... Not so much, I have to give that 2 Stars. The Store: The Staff at this store are awesome applesauce! Very friendly and welcoming when you walk in, they are very good at letting you look around at your leisure with no pressure or being right there with you, as you wish. We bought a living room set. Delivery was a couple of days out only because it had to be ordered. The delivery people were polite, funny, courteous, efficient and worked very well as a team. One table was damaged just slightly on the corner on the drive over. They offered a great compensation for it on our account and came out and repaired it like new a couple of days later (they also offered to replace it). We have had the couches now for 8 months. They are lovely. Holding up very well even with us, preschool grandchildren visiting, our 12 yo son, our Lab and American Bulldog (who loves to get in the recliner rocker and make it rock) living on them. When I realized that my eyes were going and I needed a bigger TV, we went in, chose our TV, they ordered it, my husband picked it up a couple of days days later... Easy Peasey. Now, the issues with the online part. This I would give 1-2 Stars. I will take the blame on part but it is a broken system. The first weird thing was when we did our application, they were "Unable to verify my husband's identify based on his credit report". I have never heard this one before. We have car loans, bank accounts, we had been at the same address that we owned for 3.5 years before we had just moved to our current address 2 doors down, same employer for years and so on. (This also just happened with my mom who needed an emergency oven. I sent her to Badcock in Clearwater, FL. Same address for 11 years, CC, Bank accounts and so on) We happened to have 3 pieces of ID they could take to verify him: his driver's licence, our insurance card, and then we used either our car insurance card or Xfinity bill. It took about 30-45 min clearing up something that we have never seen occur. Next, As I said, we went in and added a TV a few months later. I had had the payment set on Auto Pay. It worked great. I woke up the morning it was scheduled and it would be done. My conversation with the store when we added the TV was, "This will add another $100 to your monthly payment". Okie Dokie. Here is the part that's on me: I never paid attention to the amount that was coming out on those monthly payments, I just saw that they had taken their money and knew all was good. Then, a couple of weeks ago, my husband gets a credit notification that their has been a change to his score. 30 point Drop!!!! He looks and it says Badcock has a past due amount, but it also shows a perfect payment history. So, what isn't explained is when you add an item to your account, you have to change your recurring payment to the new monthly amount instead of it just updating like most revolving accounts do. We paid the past due amount within a couple of days of finding out. So, he now shows "Late Payments" on his report which I think is a crock. Next, their online payment system SUCKS. You are unable to make a payment for today. It must be put in for at least 1 day in the future. Since I got sick, this does not work for me. I get paid, I sit down and pay all of our bills first thing that morning, we know everything is done. That is why the Auto bill pay was great... Their payment was gone already when I got up. Since our payment amount was messed up, I set everything back up with the new amount on an account that gets funded the 27th thru the 3rd. I never quite know. Then the fun started. I discovered that if you have a recurring payment set up, you can't push a payment through early. Stupid, Annoying, but ok, I'll cancel my recurring payment. Then try again. Next, I try to make the payment again only to discover that their system doesn't allow you to make a payment TODAY, it must be at least 1 day in the future. Huh? Why in the heck?? Wouldn't they want their money as soon as they could? So, now I have to call them and do the payment over the phone I guess, because while our Badcock store is amazing, the bill payment end is very broken.

Farmers Furniture - This hole is not located in a high-pressure area. As you can clearly see, this is not caused by wear.

We ended up buying a queen-size bed, one side table, and a dresser with a mirror, and with tax included, the total came out to $1,200--which is an absolute steal in today's economy. The store itself isn't upscale or flashy, and that actually feels intentional. It's not a warehouse vibe either--it just doesn't try to be a fancy, high-end furniture showroom, and that's likely how they keep prices so competitive. One thing I really appreciated: when we walked in, we weren't swarmed by sales reps hovering over us or pushing for a sale. We were able to walk around, browse, and take our time. When we were ready, we asked for help and were immediately taken care of--no pressure, just helpful and efficient service. The furniture had about a one-week turnaround time, which was reasonable, and delivery was on time as promised. Overall, the customer service was phenomenal from start to finish. I would absolutely go back and purchase from Farmer's Furniture again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for solid furniture at a great price without the high-pressure sales experience.

The furniture was supposed to be in on the 7th, delivered on the 14th. They didn't order it on time they didn't get it in til the 15th and just now delivering it on 21st. Tried to cancel it all because of all the trouble, but they wanted to charge a 25% restocking fee. None of this was in contract. This is a horrible company with shady business practices.

There were areas of the twin cities that held very special stores, headed by very special people. Places that were so very special with a changing kaleidoscope of interesting and unusual clothing that people from all over the region sought them out. I'd thought that experience was lacking here until we found Yellow Taxi Vintage on Laurel Street in Springfield. Here were the same thoughtfully presented items that represented days gone by. Days of style, studied composition and exotic fabrics. Things made when life seemed to move a little slower, and allowing real attention to details of each piece. As you enter this store you'll see a vast, colorful selection of items of all eras displayed with care and designed to give curious browsers a taste of images and unique clothing items and accessories to whisk you to a new look. There are clothes for every look, and since we are talking vintage, from times, designers, and of fabrics just not seen everyday. Items born of and formed by people who really cared about delivering true quality. The owner, Rebecca, has a great eye for items to present in her store, and the sensibility to make these prizes a virtual bargain! Visit, and treat yourself to a great time, and meet new friends. You may even find a new look for yourself or someone special! The neighboring stores are cute snack and quaint dining places, so even your appetite can be satisfied with this visit!
