You walk in and you are in an air conditioned tiny room with some furniture, and then you have to walk into a massive warehouse that is absolutely not air conditioned to get to the workers and other furniture. It was at least 10 degrees hotter in here than it was outside and it's the middle of a Georgia summer. When we walked in the main warehouse there were 2 dudes sitting there talking to each other and never greeted us when we walked in. The proceeded to stare at my friend's butts as they continued talking and not acknowledging us. They thought I didn't see..... One guy did offer to help as my friends were already looking through furniture on their little computer and ended up not being helpful at all. My friend decided to just leave and look at her furniture on her personal computer so it's not so awkward and she can just help herself. Decent furniture, not decent people.

I have left messages with a young girl at the store several times, and the young girl tells me she will "see" if Dottie can call me back. In what world does a manager decide if they want to speak with a customer? I have not ONCE gotten to speak to her on the phone. She stopped opening my Facebook messages too. I was very respectful in all interactions, and her Facebook responses (before she stopped opening) were very defensive and passive aggressive. In all messages, I stated that they sent a very nice man and woman to deliver, I had no complaints about them personally, but even the delivery lady knew there was no way they could get that stuff upstairs without at least 2 men, so my boyfriend offered to help--to prevent injury to the nice delivery lady and to prevent damage to my furniture. Based on how this has been handled, I highly doubt Dottie would have reimbursed me if something was damaged during delivery--so I am glad we did offer to help carry things. I can't imagine how it would've gone if my boyfriend happened to be busy or working that day. Either the stuff would've been damaged, people would've gotten injured, or they would've had to turn around and reschedule. The delivery lady felt bad and said something along the lines of "we will help you get nightstands" (I hadn't purchased any yet bc I didn't know if one, two, or any nightstands would fit in my bedroom) and she said maybe someone could meet me halfway with one. I reached out to Dottie to discuss and to see if the help offered by the delivery lady was possible. She responded with attitude and has now ghosted me. I cannot imagine how poorly this place would handle a major disagreement. As you can see, I was very respectful in the messages and was not asking for a refund / compensation, was just asking for some help with what the delivery lady said. I am disappointed in Dottie's response after I spent so much with this business, and with the fact that I now can't find a matching nightstand. I was willing to do business with her, but after this response, Dottie does not deserve my business.

I'll probably paint some of my furniture sage green, using their chalk paints available in the store. I've already bought paint from them. They are very relaxed, not pressuring you to buy. I've also bought some of their decor. It's definitely a niche boutique yet they are selling those pieces like hotcakes. I'm going to use Iron Orchid Designs on my furniture. I love this store.

My experience at La-Z-Boy has been a huge disappointment. The total order was $10,800, and they had me put down $5,000 -- just under 50%. They specifically assured me the order wouldn't be processed until I put down the full 50% and approved the final design. We met with the design team over Zoom, and I made it very clear I needed to review everything with my wife before making a final decision. That Friday, I let the salesperson know we decided not to move forward -- only to be told the order was already processed and couldn't be canceled. Since then, no manager has returned my calls, and for six weeks I heard nothing until we started getting daily delivery texts demanding the balance on a $10,800 order we no longer want. I even spoke to the delivery center and was promised a regional manager would call -- still nothing. La-Z-Boy has completely dropped the ball on customer service, ignored their own promises, and left us stuck with expensive furniture we tried to cancel. Sad excuse of a "business", so frustrating and really disappointing. The worst part is my parents are the ones dealing with this company. The kitchen and master bath were supposed to be finished by Labor Day 2024, it was then pushed back to thanksgiving 2024 and the kitchen was barely useable then. The master bath was completed may 9th and the kitchen is STILL not done. 90% of the cost of the cabinets was paid in October in preparation for delivery and they still don't have the finished cabinets. A year ago they were so excited about their new house and since then, they have been constantly let down by this company and it has turned their excitement of starting a new chapter of life in a new home into a complete nightmare. Finally, my mom asked me to call Lukejohn as a last resort after trying to get ahold of him for days/ weeks. And guess what...he answered the phone! When I told him who I was he rudely told me he was out of town and busy and someone would be reaching out that day.
