The doctor stressed the importance of wearing contacts to see if you are comfortable with that scenario. I had worn them for years with no problems. Even though I hadn't worn contacts for quite awhile, I was confident they would work for me. He was able to Lazer some of the astigmatism in my eye for Distance which has given me the ability to read, drive and function without glasses which I had all my life. Had dry eyes for a short time after surgery but that improved quite quickly. I would recommend trying the contacts and see if you like them. I know this type of surgery is more than Medicare will cover but the results are worth the added expense No regrets even if I still needed glasses after surgery for driving. Would also like to commend the staff for their attention to detail and explaining all the options and costs.

Three years ago I saw him for the first time and love his style and expertise. I appreciate that he talks through everything with you and allows you to be a part of the decision making process regarding your own health. Today I brought my teenage daughter in for her second visit. She now requires glasses so we went through our first experience selecting them here. I know that we could have taken her prescription elsewhere for a little less money but you can't beat the service that the staff gives here. My daughter felt confident that she picked the best style and fit for her face frame and is now actually excited for her glasses to arrive! Thank you to Dr. Biggs and staff for fantastic care!

Dr. Schulte diagnosed my son with accommodative dysfunction and recommended vision therapy. After calling the recommended vision therapy places, I was discouraged to find out the service cost was unaffordable and out of pocket only. After research, I discovered Corewell Vision Clinic. I was able to obtain the vision therapy there with the script written by Dr. Schulte and covered by insurance. Several weeks into therapy, the vision OT informed me that Dr. Schulte was not responding to the vision therapy evaluations being sent to her, thus they were unable to bill insurance. Both the vision OT and supervisor tried calling her office to speak to her and she refused. She also refused to sign the evaluations so my son's therapy was disrupted. Fortunately, after speaking with my son's pediatrician, he agreed to oversea the rehab until I was able to get in to see an ophthalmologist affiliated with Corewell. I am livid! Completely unprofessional and in my opinion unethical. I will not continue as a patient there. I will never recommend this place of business. It is unfortunate because the staff, including the other optometrist have been wonderful. I cannot say the same about Dr. Schulte!

If you have serious eye issues, this is your place…read more I recently had an eye emergency and had to be seen by a retina specialist stat for an emergent procedure. I was seen quickly and was greeted by a professional, friendly, and calming staff. I hate eye anything as I'm super sensitive, but I will gladly return here. The retina specialist gave me a thorough exam, laid out all my options, and the risks vs. benefits of each. They managed to inform without scaring the crap out of me and allowed me to make my own informed decision. Once I ripped the bandaid off and pulled up my big girl panties, they completed an inpatient procedure within minutes. No fuss, no wait, no chance to wuss out. Trust me, that is a good thing. They literally saved my sight, allowing me to continue to work and be a productive person. No joke. I'm not done on my journey, but they are walking me through it, and I have faith in them. I trust their advice and care and hope to be working with them for a long time.
