A lot of their stuff has kind of a rustic, country, cabin-y kind of flair. They also have metal garden art that I think is probably made locally. Frogholler is a lavender farm, with a small nursery. They have a couple of weeks in the late spring when you can go and pick lavender stems for $0.10 each. There are tables where you can make lavender wands or wreaths. There were rows and rows of lavender to pick from. The scent of the garden was heavenly. There were few people there, so staying away from others was not an issue. We had a lovely time picking our flowers. They provide baskets and sanitized scissors which are returned immediately to a bin of disinfectant when you're done. The people were fun, helpful and friendly. Check-out is in a small, but adorable gift shop. During this period, they limit to four people at a time in the shop and you must wear a mask. The shop has all things lavender, i.e. soap, oils, sachets, etc., plus items like handmade birdhouses. While we waited our turn, they served us a cup of delicious lavender lemonade. It was perfectly balanced - lemony with a light floral undertone. If you're looking for something different and fun to do, this is a good choice. They apparently have some other festivals over the season, so I'll be checking them out, too.

We decided to do a short road trip to check out Madison, NC and the see what we would find along…read morethe way. My wife reminded me there was a recent paranormal show we watched on Netflix that was filmed at Madison Dry Goods. I remembered the show and the impact on the people that stayed there during their 28 days. We actually talked about not wanting a ghost to attach to us and follow us home! We arrived a little after 2pm on a Saturday. Street parking was easy. We walked in and started to peruse the clothing area and were greeted by the owner. We learned he just purchased the business 11 days earlier. We chatted about the history and the filming for the Netflix show. As we began to look closer at their clothing items we were really impressed with the quality and their prices. They also had several racks featuring discounted items. We then walked over to the dry goods area which offered a lot of local products including honey, jams and jellies, popcorn, candy, grits and more. We decided to walk upstairs to look at the museum and some of the history of the hotel. This space was featured in the Netflix documentary and while it was cool it was also a bit creepy. We also learned they plan to use some of the space upstairs to have a antique marketplace area where people can rent booth space in the near future which will be a cool addition. We both ended up buying some clothing items and chatting with the owners. They were very welcoming and helpful. Wonderful stop and we will absolutely be back when we are in the area.
