I purchased a sofa and loveseat from Reidsville Furniture on May 8, 2013. I placed the order by…read morephone with Aaron Vester because I had a problem placing the order via the web site. I put a 50% deposit down and then paid the balance 12 days later. I originally was told that the store should receive the items from the manufacturer in 3 to 4 weeks, but when I received my invoice in the mail, it said 6 to 10 weeks. On June 6, 2013, I called the store and left a message for Mr.Vester to check on the status of the order. Another employee called me back and said that they should have the items by June 27th and the delivery company should call me about a week later. By 7/15/13, I had not received a call from the delivery company, so I called the store back and left a message for Mr.Vester. The same employee who called me back in June called me back this time. He said that the notation on my account was showing that the items should be in by the end of July. I told the employee that he had previously told me that they should have the items by June 27th, and I asked him what the delay was. He could not advise and only said that it was now showing that they should have the items by the end of July. The end of July came and went, and no phone call from either the furniture store or the delivery company. To make a long story short, I was given several other dates as to when the furniture would be in. However, all of those dates came and went and I never received a call from Mr. Vester or anyone at the store. In August, I called and really unloaded on him about the constant delays and not being informed as to whether the furniture had arrived after each of the dates I was given. He said that all of the dates I was given was given to them from the manufacturer. He said the latest information from the manufacturer was that they were having a hard time getting the fabric from their overseas supplier. He promised to keep me informed of the status of the order thereafter. I was given two dates in September but the store didn't receive the furniture. I never received a phone call from the store when the items finally did arrive. Mr. Vester had assumed the delivery company had contacted me, which they had not. I finally got them on 10/23/13. The only reason I am giving this company a 2 star rating vs. 1 star is because of the great price. However, I don't know if it was worth the aggravation I went through to get them.

I bought a reclining loveseat from my local Schewel's in April of 2016. I wasn't impressed with any…read moreof the sales staff, as they were not particularly friendly. However, I did love the look of the loveseat and purchased it with the warranty they sold. In March of this year (2017), I could not recline one side. Upon inspection, my husband saw that there was a welded bracket that was sheared off. On 3/7 I called and spoke with Misty, who said she would send a repair specialist. He did come out, looked at the issue, and took pictures. He specifically said it is a manufacturer's defect. Misty called me after he sent her the information. She said the repair parts were on order. So, flash forward, to May 16, and my loveseat cannot be reclined. I called to get an update on the issue. Crystal answered the phone, but ultimately put Misty on to tell me that we are "at the mercy of the manufacturer". She did not offer any other assistance, or offer any help at that point. If I had wanted junk furniture, I would have bought it from a discount furniture store. I didn't, but if this is how Schewel's treats customers after the sale, they don't deserve my business.

I love this particular Schewels! They always greet us in a friendly manner and remember my children…read moreby name! I love that! I made my first purchase last year for a refrigerator that is still working perfectly along with the warranty. The last purchase was for my mothers day gift and I am in love with it. I did purchase the warranty for those items as well and they definitely make sure that you are covered in any event that you may need it. Can't wait to shop there again!

This small pawn shop is located in the downtown strip of shops on Scales St between the farmers…read moremarket and the statue in the traffic circle. They have a good mix of tools, electronics, music equipment, household items and guns... lots of guns actually. These guys are really nice and very patient with indecisive buyers like myself. They have a very large selection of new and used pistols and quite a few long guns and shotguns. They had no problem showing me several different guns I was interested in and let me hold them to see how they felt before deciding on something to purchase. They have very good prices, on the guns and ammo at least, I didn't look too closely at much of the other prices.

As opposed to the other review, I have looked at the many other items there and I keep coming back…read moreas a buyer. The Kathye's are great to deal with and knowledgeable about what they have. Prices for buyers (to me) are always on the move. They are ready to reasonably negotiate. I have heard them speaking with customers on what I consider unreasonable offers and requests and the Kathye's handle it with grace and take it in stride. (Where many owners would tell a customer to 'hit the street') The only problem they have is not enough room. What they do have could easily be displayed in an area 3 times the size. But they evidently know how to hold their costs down and their inventory moving. They will always invite you to come back again but what you see today may easily and well be gone by tomorrow.
