This review is of Willamette just as a local cultural and entertainment asset. With the public…read morelibrary about to be handicapped for two years, I set out to look for alternatives. At the Mark O.Hatfield Library main desk, staff will issue to area residents a "community borrower's card" for a yearly fee of $50. To access the campus, I always park in the visitors' lot on the east side of Winter St., close to the intersection with Pringle Parkway. The signage is confusing: parking is free for casual drop-ins only on weekends. For those from away, walk NE from the visitors' parking until you see the fountain. There is found an excellent map and you can orient yourself. The Martha Springer Botanical Garden is a few minutes' walk from the library and worth a visit. It does not show on the online map. It is the green strip north of the Sparks Center, on the south bank of the Mill Race.

(I got lucky) In 2019, I got my GED, and in 2023, I got two Associates degrees. I could give it 4.5 stars, so i gave it a 5 because overall it was amazing. There are only a couple things I would improve on. One is there should be gender neutral bathrooms installed. Alteast one in each building. I know that's alot but it is also alot for the mental health of those who have to choose. Two, the lady that runs the Math Hub with the accent either needs some retraining or change of possitions. I had to test with her three times. The first time, I dismissed it as her having a bad day. The second and third time she was just rude and cold. I felt like she needed a hug or something but she was so cold I was afraid I would freeze. JK. Other than that, chemeketa is a great school.

Given the severity of my situation, I hoped the school would offer at least a partial refund, but that was not the case. I waited months for my appeal decision, only to be told I was still responsible for over $800 for classes I attended for less than two weeks. During that time, I sent multiple emails asking for updates and often waited weeks just to receive a response. This experience felt incredibly dismissive and disappointing, especially from an institution that claims to care about its students.

She lives in the dorms (which are old but roomy). This university provides a loving and truly Christian environment. A breath of fresh air in todays university system!

Great teachers, wonderful campus full of God's beauty. I would recommend attending. Their music programs are wonderful.

My 6 week internship was with a doctor who was crazy and the director of the practice was a so called "priestess". I had approximately an hour with a patient. All 6 weeks were sorting out hard copies of medical records because the doctor had just bought another practice and had files everywhere. She had 3 different schools sending her students to do grunt work. In the end, I never got to work as a medical assistant. I also was not given a certificate because I did not have proof of shot records. Not because of grades that I made,which were alright and passing. Because I couldn't supply them my shot records. I'm an army brat. My parents moved all over the states as well as Germany. I was in my 40's so finding those records are harder. I've gone to the vital statistics and they have no record either. The last month of class the school was sold to Institute of Technology. When I started it was Valley Medical. So unfair.....and we weren't even allowed to keep the books I paid for!
