We are thrilled with Willamette Valley Bank. My husband and I were in town for a few days, we found a condo we liked, and our realtor recommended Andy Byrd at Willamette. We went to the bank early in the morning. Andy was not on yet, but the receptionist, Seanna gave him a call and he came to meet with us. Seanna also copied for us a one hundred page document we wanted to read. Andrew was very professional and worked with us to get our loan approved. Nicole Spencer also worked diligently to get many documents e-signed for loan approval. Andrew and Nicole kept in very close communication throughout the loan process. Texts, phone calls and emails were answered immediately. We could not have found nicer or more professional people with whom to work. The loan was approved, we signed all the documents necessary and look forward to moving into our second home after Monday, September 16. The process was basically effortless for us. Worst bank I have ever dealt with. They drag the loan process on and on. Gave numerous documents they requested only to have them ask over and over for the same documents already given. They cause you to spend, spend, spend, lost thousands with this bank. Was pre-approved only to spend thousands more then at last minute pull the rug out from under you. Horrible horrible service! The worst financial firm we've ever worked with. Completely incompetent and totally unprofessional in their interactions with us on our home loan. Our loan agent, Jessica, even got the math wrong on the size of our loan and what we needed to pay at the time of closing. We had to correct her. We expected that our loan agent would at least have basic math skills...The team was also completely inept in their communications. And, even when we escalated to Jeremy, it didn't help. He defended his team and made no effort to understand what we the customer were looking for in terms of communications and support. I would recommend you work with any other firm you can find. read more

In June we applied for a loan that was supposed to close at the end of July. Thankfully, the seller wasn't able to close on the original date because WVB didn't have everything together to fund the loan. This is a long, LONG story with many details so I will shorten it. They lied to us multiple times about various things (like an appraisal had been done when it hadn't, they would be able to close on a date when they couldn't, etc.). Jeremy rarely answered our calls but said his assistant would be answering. She did her best to cover for the bank's blunders. Whitney was a kind person but seemed to be in over her head. She even told me once that things change by the second in this industry and that is why we had been lied to. I've been involved in many real estate transactions and haven't ever been lied to before. Through the months, we learned to expect failure of execution at every promise WVB offered. Over SIX MONTHS later, after we had been told that we could close on 12/30, then 12/31, then 1/4, and even on the date we finally closed (1/5 after we signed closing papers 1/4), they were still trying to sort out their paperwork in order to fund. Our realtor indicated he was frustrated and shocked on the last day of this wild ride. Someone from the other side of this transaction asked which bank we were using. When I told them it was WVB, they said, "Oh. I bet you are working with Jeremy Wallis. He's a notorious liar." Very disappointing, to say the least. read more

Jeremy was kind, however, not very involved in the loan process once it was started. His assistant, Whitney N., primarily handled communications and was beyond terrible. Worst experience imaginable. She either doesn't know how to do her job or has too much on her plate...maybe both. She dropped the ball on several occasions to the point that we missed our initial closing date. She communicated wrong information along the way, including but not limited to, an incorrect amount due at closing, tried to increase the interest rate one week prior to closing, and sent the file to a different title company than what was requested. I have never done business with someone so incompetent. Jeremy apologized for her errors, however, it doesn't take away the unnecessary stress she caused to everyone involved. I was told I would receive a survey after closing but that too didn't happen-so here is my review. Basically, sold a dream and delivered a nightmare. read more

All of our phone calls/questions were answered immediately, he was clear about what information/documents we needed to gather, and was even able to rush things through for us when we suddenly needed to close on our house in less than 30 days.
