I just recently established care here, as I was in need of a licensed MD…read more My awesome naturopath is wonderful, but can be limited at times by what my insurance will cover. Medicine has become a game of hoops, hurdles, and land mines. Sadly, the corporate pig-dogs that infest medical insurance companies are making it harder and harder for consumers to get decent medical care that is covered by their own plans. The recent congressional mandates seem to be creating a knee-jerk response by the insurance companies to go into an offensive mode and nickle and dime consumers even more than they do now. This doesn't look good at all.... Commentary over for now. Providence Medical Group, located in the Ross Shopping Centre in Warrenton left me with a very solid and positive first impression. Easy to get in quickly for an appointment. All of the staff that I encountered were professional, friendly, attentive, and proficient. Stephanie Potts, NP was amazing. Very professional, caring, and LISTENED!!!! I never felt rushed at all, and she listened to me attentively and answered all of my many questions with ease. Very thorough. I was asked to fill out a few different inventories to asses my medical needs an concerns. This could be viewed as a lot of paper shuffling, but if one keeps in mind that so many patients do not communicate well with their professionals, thus making it tough for the professional to do their job in a comprehensive manner, all of the added questionnaires serve a very important function. It even gave a very loquacious person like myself a few extra talking points to address. I felt very at ease after my appointment and am confident in the staff at this location. As much as I never desire to be a regular at a doctor's office, I am pleased with the professionalism, flexibility, and quality of care given to me here.

Most things I need to attend to on a regular basis are available there and while it's true it takes months to get an appointment to see a Doctor I've found the staff helpful in getting things, like new prescriptions, taken care of right away. Folks, there just aren't enough Doctors to go around in a rural community. That's always been true, but I do like dealing with Providence.

When we got there, no triage was performed at any time during our visit, two different people took insurance information which was never billed to the insurance. Wrong codes as we find out in August. The worst part about it the triage nurse was a total disaster. He should not even be in the medical field. He was rude condescending. After four hours of waiting, never been triage and complaining several times. I did talk to the charge nurse and my mom was seen by the Doctor Who was very professional. Even the staff upfront at the desk, was concerned about the triage process that evening Before we arrive there we also talked to my mother's oncologist and he said we needed to be seen immediately immediately go to the emergency room. Again, there was no triage perform. She was never seen by anybody prior to seeing the doctor, even though other people were seen by triage nurses. Since it is the only hospital in the area, you don't have any choice, but if there was another hospital there, this one would be out of business.

ER staff were very efficient. What made his stay bearable was the ICU staff and we want to give them a SHOUT-OUT! The ICU staff individually and together as a collective made the stay tolerable and likely saved my husband's mental health!!! We feel extraordinarily blessed!!! I was called into an exam room even before finishing. Saw the doctor after nurse took vitals. Diagnosed issue as a pinched nerve and began treatment. They continued to check on me and adjust as needed. Everything was explained and I was given follow up instructions. All of the staff were helpful and pleasant. The entire experience was great - which meant so much more after I spent more than 2 hours at another hospital's urgent care in the afternoon and was never treated, never saw a doctor and the only medical staff I did see acted like he didn't want to be there. And, this was not because the waiting room was full. Unless 3 patients were overwhelming. This was not my first good experience here. A number of years ago my wife needed care late at night. Staff then was pleasant, efficient and took care of her. This visit I learned they also have an urgent care clinic. That's where I will go next timer it's needed!

This is a non-profit medical center. Whatever that means. If you don't have health insurance, they have a "sliding scale" option. However, since a certain Congressional legislation was implemented, not sure how this "sliding scale" is going to work. They are not a "walk-in" clinic, but I did manage to get a "same day" appointment. I called at 8:00 right at opening, and was on hold for five minutes. Hmmmmmm.......... They keep a whiteboard hanging where they notify people of the wait time. At the time I came in, it was blank. However, at the 30 minute waiting point, I inquired as to why there was no information on the white board. The desk person said, "we usually wait for them to tell us" but she decided to go inquire. She then wrote "50 minutes" as the wait time. At exactly the 50 minute point (50 minutes past my appointment time), I was seen. There is a sign that says, "if you have been waiting past 15 minutes, inform someone." But the medical tech that took my vitals indicated that sign is pointless as they routinely run late. 50 minutes is the "norm." I have to give them a "thumbs up" for the fact that they did NOT ask for my SS number. There is no legal reason health care providers need your SS number.

They don't have time to review your chart or complaint. My fave PCP left because of the stress of paperwork and short time allotted to see patients. If you need speciality care, they do pretty well but as for having a doc that knows anything about you, forget it. It is really very scary especially as I get older and need someone on top of my care. Maybe instead of a state of the art facility, CMH could focus on quality care.

He gets home and collapses because his defibrillator went off twice and hit the closet and hurt his hands they go back to St. John's after being there from 1:00 PM to midnight they then put him in ICU which they might be taking care of the problem after being an ICU however, if you ask a question as to why it wasn't addressed the earlier before and them, nurses and supervisors think like it's no big issue if you address time of his last visit he was in ICU and asked for them to move that person around so they don't get bed sores obviously it wasn't enough to express your concern now they tell me I can't address it. It's none of my business even though it's a family member furthermore, the nurse in the ER was so rude To the wife and if you ask that question, they don't want to address it you ask for admin person to talk to them to get answers instead if you take a name, if you take a name they bring the security and a supervisor, instead of a admin person...I did mention you all gonna get yourselves fired, which is not a threat they bring up security to escort you out and you still haven't got to talk too a admin person to answer you questions...private hospital is not a trauma they don't have the capability of resolving the issueThey are rude and they don't care they bring their security that you're out of control and making threats which never happened. This hospital is very poor and second time that a family member has been in there so the powers that be in this hospital facility sucks not everybody is nice or compassionate at all. They told me not to call the hospital or talk to admin or anyone else for that matter so what is being hidden in that hospital but yet I see all these great experiences from other visits I'm disgusted and even though I'm not a PA , or his wife I'm just a sibling and I can't ask questions with my bother there in the room and the supervisor talks over you I got up and walked out and furthermore, you have to ask the nurse three times to leave so you can have some time with your sibling and she is her department and she can be there if she wants to.
