Arrived at my appointment on February 17th only to find they had closed their doors permanently on February 14th. I did not get a phone call, cancelation text, email, nothing. Anyways just thought I'd let anyone know who's looking at this place that it is in fact closed for good since they have such great communication skills

These guys are great, straightforward and very good about keeping you up to date and informed. Emergency Vet services are never cheap, but I've paid far more for a dog having an allergic reaction, at other clinics, as compared to, this time, a dog with an injured leg. Very pleased, and very glad we used this clinic. And while it shows this location as closed...this is a 24 hour clinic with full ICU capabilities.

When I was taking in all options he presented, he left me no time to think and said "am I boring you?" When he called back to give me an update regarding all the tests my dog did, instead of giving me an update and shared his professional diagnosis, he simply asked "do you have any questions" as soon as the phone is being connected. In addition, their team is not coordinated and gave conflicting and confusing care instructions. Even their front desk doesn't seem to show any care. When I called to ask if the medication was ready, they said it's not because their care teams were busy. Then I further ask when it will be ready, the front desk simply said "I can transfer you to leave a voicemail". They obviously don't care and just want to end the phone call. I certainly don't feel this place actually care about the pets and will never recommend anyone taking your beloved family member to this place.

I believe Dr. Cox is an animal whisper because my Stewie is not a fan of anyone but me and he wags his tail with Dr. Cox, which is not his norm! I recommend this place wholeheartedly. My dog had an allergic reaction due to a rabies vaccine at their clinic and we were asked to pay MORE money to fix the reaction. No discount or compensation. No empathy for us or our animal as we were scared and never had to deal with anything like this before. The staff was rude and told us to find another vet if we didn't like our services there after KINDLY voicing our opinions on the matter.

Dr. Floyd is incredibly kind, patient, and has a wonderful bedside manner. She always helps Ruby (and me!) feel calm during visits, no matter how anxious we are walking in. She's responsive on the pet portal, thoughtful in her recommendations, and consistently follows up after procedures or acute issues. I know many clinics do this, but her personal touch and genuine care really stand out and mean so much to us. The staff at SLPH is also fantastic--responsive, organized, and quick to help with appointment requests or clinical questions. The office is clean, and while wait times are usually short, even on the rare occasion there's a wait, it's absolutely worth it. I should've written this review long ago, but Dr. Floyd and the team truly deserve the recognition. I still drive 30 minutes each way because I trust them completely with Ruby's care. Highly, highly recommend!
