My go-to groomer is Derek - he books out really fast, so you will want to call well in advance to get on his schedule. We have two mini golden doodles, and one passed away earlier this year unexpectedly, and it was really clear how much Derek cared about our dogs. He would check up and ask me how I was doing in the subsequent grooms after my dog's passing, and it meant a lot to me. In regards to how he grooms, I trust Derek to make the best decisions for my golden doodle. I know that doodles are notoriously difficult to groom (and yes, there is a a doodle upcharge, and that is NORMAL for most grooming services), but Derek always does a great job, even when he has to shave my doodle down. He's very honest and upfront and explains what he can/can't do and also lets me know afterwards if there were any issues. For my fellow doodle owners, if you are not actively brushing your doodle daily with a comb and keeping your doodle mat-free, it is very difficult for groomers to de-mat a doodle and also it is actually VERY painful for doodles who have tons of mats. Let them shave down your dog if it's necessary! I also always buy their baked goods, and my doodle LOVES them!

These guys are great, straightforward and very good about keeping you up to date and informed. Emergency Vet services are never cheap, but I've paid far more for a dog having an allergic reaction, at other clinics, as compared to, this time, a dog with an injured leg. Very pleased, and very glad we used this clinic. And while it shows this location as closed...this is a 24 hour clinic with full ICU capabilities.

He performed an ultrasound and diagnosed a 9.2cm X 5.6 cm tumor on her liver. So I made an appointment for Friday, August 14th with Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists Internal Medicine. I arrived at 8:15 for an 8:30 appointment. Dr. Edward Vasquez explained the two approaches to me and I chose for them to do a CT and a biopsy. I also said that I would be waiting because I live I Katy. I had paid the $205 deposit at the time of making the appointment and then paid $3645 for the procedure. At that point, they took Tiffy back and I waited in their very uncomfortable waiting room with hard benches and vending machines. I was told that they would probably not do Tiffy's CT until 1:30 and that she would probably be ready to go home by 2:30. Finally at 2:30 because I had not heard anything, I asked the receptionist to check on Tiffy. She call back and asked for a tech to go check and apparently that didn't happen so a few minutes later, I asked the receptionist if she would check again. At that point, Dr. Edward Vasquez came out and proceeded to tell me that he had other patients and drop offs. I told him, yes, I had seen several dogs comeing and going all day, but I had an 8:30 appointment. I have been here 6 hours and asked if they had done the CT of Tiffy. He said, NO, she had a port in her leg but they had not done the CT. I replied, "That's unbelievable It has been six hours". I said you have put other dogs ahead of an 8:30 appointment. He said that they could do a CT but it would take another two hours, but he preferred I just take my dog home and NEVER COME BACK!! Again he told me that he would take the port out of her leg and I should take her home and NEVER COME BACK!! I was shocked at this man's behavior and upset because I expected to get more information about my Tiffy. Then Nathan Hernandez came out and asked if I would bring Tiffy and come talk with him in his office. He said that he was an administrator. He apologized and said that he would help in anyway he could. I told him I wanted my money refunded and had already spoken with my regular vet for a referral to MedVet. I told Mr Hernandez that the receptionist heard the entire conversation with Dr. Vasquez and how rudely he had spoken to me. Dr. Vasquez needs anger management. On a positive note: The clinic refunded my $3850 and Nathan Hernandez called me that night to check on Tiffy. He asked that I not give the clinic a bad review but said that they were going to use this as a "teaching moment" for Dr Vasquez. My opinion is that they simply need to "teach Dr. Vasquez where the door is"!! If you love your animal do not let Dr. Vasquez near him or her. BTW--Tiffy awoke me this morning with Kennel Cough. Wonder where she got that from!!

I would give this place less than one star if it was possible…read more Our entire family's pets go to this office and last weekend we had our dog stay with them while we went on a trip. Our dog suffers from anxiety and takes daily vitamins that we provided to the office when we brought her. By the time we picked her up, the staff mentioned that "she was nervous" the whole time but failed to mention that they DID NOT GIVE HER ANY OF HER MEDICATIONS NOR HER VITAMINS. A dog that suffers from anxiety (especially during thunderstorms) had to go an entire rainy weekend without her anxiety medication. Additionally, the food container we left with her was pretty much as full as it was when we dropped her off. Also, we left a bag of chewable bones for her (that also help her anxiety) and the staff didn't even give her one in a 4-day span. Our dog lost enough weight in 4 days for us to be able to tell by just looking at her and was shaking uncontrollably when we picked up and she kept shaking for a couple days after we went to get her. WE LEFT AN ENTIRE BAG WITH ALL OF HER THINGS AND CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS; however, the manager claims that since it was a mistake by one of their staff then "all [they] can do is apologize." They refuse to give us a refund or do anything to make this up to us and our dog. This place is vile and full of administrators who seem to hate the animals they serve. 0/100000 would never recommend anyone to take their beloved pets to this evil place. //// U P D A T E //// I went back to talk to Dr. Closs in good faith that there was something that could be done to try to amend this situation. The doctor claims that beyond making the mistake of not caring to see if there were any instructions they also charged us for the wrong thing (which, says a lot about how they run this business). I demanded, as a symbol of reconciliation, that the hospital returned half (50%) of the cost for boarding (it was about $105 for boarding so I was expecting around $50. This was more of a symbolic gesture than about the money.) I felt that this was a decent demand considering that they only did half of the job during that weekend. Dr Animal Negligence agreed and left the room to write a check. When he returned, he brought an itemized bill and tried to explain how they had charged us the wrong amount because they DIDN'T consider the size of our dog (that begs the question, did they even feed my dog enough food?). At that moment, he tried to renegotiate and told me that "the best he could do" was to give me $16 AND IN EXCHANGE I WOULD HAVE TO DELETE MY REVIEWS ONLINE. The last time I heard someone make an offer this bad was in a mobster movie. This man is a perfect example of what's wrong in our community and should be held accountable for his actions. We are aware that we are not the first, nor the only, family that has had these crazy issues with him. It's sad how a relationship of years can be thrown in the garbage by this institution without any remorse and using the most condescending tones possible as they explain how they neglected my dog for 4 whole days.

Zero stars! My family has used this clinic for many years…read more I initially stopped going because he said my dog was overweight because you can't see her ribs but she is perfectly healthy and no other doctor has said that. I decided to have my dog stay there for the weekend while we went on a trip. She stayed there once before and it was okay. I left written instructions in her bag on how to care for her. This time, when I went to pick up my dog they said she was nervous the whole time. When I opened up her bag I noticed that they didn't give her much food and didn't give her her calming and vitamin supplements and no bones. I was infuriated because this is what helps with her anxiety and if she doesn't have the vitamin then her poop gets loose. She also had a red cut on her about when I got her. When we called all they could do is apologize. They said maybe because a new person checked us in they might have missed the instructions, but the entire time she was there they didn't think to call to make sure about the instructions. Update** the comment below from the vet is a total lie. They did not tell us the part about the food when we asked. When we went on Saturday for a refund, it was handled by the Vet completed unprofessionally. The mistakes were admitted but this information about the food was not explained. If they didn't write the directions, why didn't they call over the 4 days that our dog was boarded?? We got a discount because the person made a mistake and entered our dog as 40lbs instead of 60. The boarding costed $100 and $16 was offered as a refund again because of the vet's mistake. The vet told us we were overreacting when we went to complain. Of course we are mad that our pet didn't get what she needed. Additionally, she had small scabs all over her body that the vet said could be due to anxiety, but it was behind her head and we are still unsure what actually happened. She wasn't taking the food or didn't want water because she was anxious because THE VET did not give her here anxiety meds. On top of that, the vet said it doesn't matter because HE thinks that cbd doesn't work for dogs. It does work for our dog and if we tell you to give her something then that's what you should do instead of neglect her.
