Would not recommend this place to anyone. Took my 2 kids here for their first eye exam with Dr. Kattan Want to start off by saying everyone at reception as well as the nurses were super professional. Dr. Kattan on the other hand was the exact opposite. She insisted that the kids had to have their eyes dilated since this was their first exam. We were taken back almost 25 minutes after our appointment time to begin their exams. When it came to dilating, both my kids did not like the idea of have drops put in their eyes. I took my daughter out of the room so she can do my son first, and she had no patience getting the drops in. If you insist to dilate and will not do the exam without it, at least have some patience as they are kids and they will have some resistance. Once my son was done, I was taking my daughter in and she said she is going to take the next patient instead. We waited abut 15 minutes and she came to re-test my sons eyes but gave up and said "I'm done" and "I cant do this". She left the room and the nurse said she will give it a try and was able to do it in 20 seconds. She came out to me and once again said she is done and we are delaying her. She had multiple patients waiting and said she is going to reschedule my daughter. I understand most of your patients might be elderly, but don't make the appointment in the first place if you are not willing to do the exam for kids and will be rude and have 0 patience. read more

Dr Mosier and his staff are great. He did both cataracts in my husband with excellent results. I myself had my eyes tested elsewhere and could not see, went to Mosiers office and glasses are great. I will also, when the time comes, have Dr Mosier remove my cataracts. The office is very efficient and never have a long wait. I recommend this eye center . read more

My previous appointment went badly. Optometrist didn't prescribe my computer glasses for work because their Optical closed. Never reopened and furthermore, website says their open but their not. I need my prescription for me glasses immediately. But the Mosier Eye clinic, misrepresents their actual office hours.. I went for nothing yesterday. I called and left a message for them not to be misguiding patients who think their open. No appointments available. Bad service. read more

This office is very busy, and you need to follow-up to make sure that you get what you need. Also, do not book an appointment in the afternoon, you will have to wait hours to see the doctor. Finally, my doctor is good, and she helped me a lot with my eyes. read more

What a nightmare. Made an appointment for my 89-year-old mother to have her vision evaluated and customary glaucoma and cataract tests. Talked to both the doctor and office manager before the appointment because of my concern about her level of dementia and possible confusion during an afternoon appointment. I was told no problems, they had lots of elderly appointments. After negotiating the ridiculous handicapped ramp to the door, I was told I needed a signed power of attorney to be in the room with her during testing. I said I didn't have hers and was told they would get an office power of attorney signed, but they would have to take her off to another office. Anticipating a major meltdown coming, I said no thanks and I would like my $80 office visit fee refunded. I was given a lecture on HIPPA laws ( for those of you who know what I did during my career you would understand that I knew them verbatim) yes I'm here to defraud my mother and manipulate her eye care. They looked at me like I was asking for the moon. We can keep the fee and reschedule. No thank you. We left with my mom crying and talking about how much her eyes bother her. read more

I honestly don't write reviews, this is LITERALLY my first one, but I just had to. I've been wearing glasses since i was 7, contacts since i was 13, and I'm 26 now. So I can very well vouch for having every type of eye doctor in the book. I was lucky enough to have been with Dr. Mosier's office since highschool. I've honestly only seen Dr. Mosier once, (thanks in part to an eye ulcer), but that's only because he's the main ophthalmologist, so I generally see his resident optometrist. Dr. Mosier was great when I saw him, but what I'm here to write about is Dr. Hancock, the resident optometrist. She has been with this office for about 3 years, and she is AH-MAZE-ING. I have THE worst eyesight, and have been getting specialized contacts for what seems like an eternity, and paying a hefty price for it (around $200 or so for a SET). Thanks to her, she deemed it medically necessary that I have contacts, wondered why no one else had set that up for me, and now I pay $20 for a year's worth of 3 month disposables! FANTASTICAL considering it was $200 for a year or so. She's great at what she does, exams with her run smoothly, and she always has great options to offer in considering contacts or glasses types. All in all, if you're looking for great eye care, you most definitely need to swing by and check this place out! read more

My grandmother was not seen until over an hour after her appointment time even though we were 15min early for paperwork. They also charged 20% because she wouldn't give her secondary insurance info because she has medicare direct and Medicare directly bills the secondary...but grams will just get a refund for that. Grams pressure was high, over 20 and they couldn't dilate her eyes with the normal drops and the Dr had to do it. Nobody seems too eager to get patients seen. And when she did get to see the Dr, he was rather short and I didn't feel like he was giving her the time of day she deserves. read more

Really disappointed in my service here due to the organization of the clinic and my treatment. First off, I have waited two months to schedule an appointment. I arrived on time and was quickly given an eye dilator that takes 40 minutes to kick in. I waited for an hour and 30 minutes before I even saw the doctor. Patients who came in after me were treated first (I was the last patient to leave). My father got irritated and asked that they hurry my checkup since we had family plans. Afterwards I felt a coldness from the staff towards me. When the doctor saw me he quickly told me nothing was wrong with me, although I have definite amblyopia (lazy eye). Confused and tired, I walked out. I study neurobiology and know that there are limited treatments to adult lazy eye, but Dr. Mosier claims there are none. To quote Dr. Leonard J Press from the Optometrist Network: "It's been proven that a motivated adult with strabismus and/or amblyopia who works diligently at vision therapy can obtain meaningful improvement in visual function... It's important that eye doctors don't make sweeping value judgements for patients. Rather than saying 'nothing can be done,' the proper advice would be: 'You won't have as much improvement as you would have had at a younger age; but I'll refer you to a vision specialist who can help you if you're motivated.'" And believe me, I'm motivated to correct my eyes. I'm applying to medical school, and my experience here has left me feeling betrayed by what is good about medicine. I'll be looking for another doctor who doesn't necessarily fix my condition, but at least tries. read more

I waited over an hour and half just to see the doctor. Had a scheduled appointment and arrived early. No one ever said that they were sorry for my wait time. Dr. Mosier didn't correctly identify my eye issue, and I had to go to a different ophthalmologist to get my problem solved. My new ophthalmologist got me in within 15 minutes, quickly identified the issue, and even called pharmacies to get a decent price for the prescribed medication. read more

I am a new patient to this office. When you walk in everything is modern and very clean. The front desk helped me check in and it was so fast due to me printing out the new patient paper work online and filling it out prior to my appt. I sat down was called back in 30min. Wish the nurse would have introduce her self. So I didn't get the nurses name. But she was very friendly, and helpful. Answered my questions and did my eye test. Then I was sent to Dr.Hancock she was very nice. Tested my eyes it was quick and easy. I believe I was in the office for about a total of 1 hour. Great place. And will be back. read more

Was late because of a major accident on 57 freeway, appointment was 1pm. Started calling at 12:45 and phone went to voicemail stating they were closed till 1:30 then the voicemail system hung up. Tried three times same thing. Got there at 1:20 and was told that I was too late and they could not fit me in. Asked about the phone message stating that they were closed till 1:30 and it was 1:20, they said they were closed and it was not there fault that I could not get through. They went on to say they were not responsible for their phone system and it was all on me. This day on the 57 at the 91 a semi towing a large earth moving equipment nailed the center. It's now 5 hours later and it's still there. They did not care. They offered an appointment in about 4 weeks. Never going back read more

I can highly recommend Dr. Mosier for all your eye care. I had him operate on my eyes for cataract surgery. I am a retired eye surgeon and when I needed cataract surgery for my eyes, I chose Dr. Mosier---I practiced in Orange county for 37 years and knew most of the surgeons. But when It came time for me to have my eyes operated on he was my choice. I have seen him operate and is an excellent, highly skilled eye surgeon. 6 mons check up, all test is done about 75 minute, which is ok. but waiting for doctor for cold examine room for 65 minute, then spend 5 minute and shake hands to say goodbye. We love dr. mossier, he is a great doctor, wish they can improve those waiting times. because of these, we gave 3 stars. read more

This is only in reference to the eyewear dept., I recently went in for an exam by optometrist Jamie Hancock (who is the greatest around) and then went to the eyewear department to fill the prescription she wrote. After picking a frame for 350.00 I was told after all the discounts from my insurance discount plan that my glasses would be 942.50, after I recovered and got up from the floor I went to Costco and got all of the recommended items on the prescription for a total cost of 269.97 out the door and that was after another estimate of 565.00 from another independent. Why do some places feel they should take advantage of others in that manner, why not recommend alternate solutions at a lower price, you don't need that much commission from one person, I don't care what your pay level is. read more
