I have been a patient of Dr. Mosier for 2 years. I think the team he has working is very efficient and runs the office very well. Everyone is friendly from the time you are greeted to each of the stations you go to before you see time with the Doctor. I have not had to wait more than 10 minutes between stations except when waiting for my eyes to dilate. Dr. Mosier had reviewed my records before we met. He asked if I had any concerns about my eyes and shared his examination findings. I never felt rushed and appreciated his sincere concerns about my eyes. This year my wife will also become a patient after seeing how pleased I am with the Mosier Eye Center organization and management. read more

Dr Pham is truly a passionate doctor who knows her stuff. I know other doctor rating websites say she is arrogant and rude but I truly think it is just a misinterpretation of her care. She indeed does not like to be questions but I get it since reading stuff on the internet does not make us experts. If you follow her recommendations, dry eye really can be managed. The doc tends to run late but I think it is because she will sit with patients until ALL of their questions are answered. She really does care. I've seen the optometrist there as well and again, runs a tad late but will sit with you until all of your questions are answered. She encouraged but did not pressure me at all to purchase glasses from the office. I've had multiple experiences with tech, Jamie and she is top notch. So friendly and warm. She is also very knowledgeable and really helps patients out. She kept me up to date on my preauthorizations so I didn't have to chase down answers. She is also certified to do the Lipiflow and she made sure I was very comfortable for the entire 15 minutes. Some of the front desk staff and techs are really rude so be prepared for that. They act like your presence is a huge inconvenience to their existence. Plenty of free parking in this lot too. read more

This morning, I had a poor experience at Mosier Eye Center's clinic. Upon check-in, the front desk was charging me a deductible. Immediately, I checked my app. I made a screenshot of the part where it showed that my yearly deductible had already been met. At check out, they again asked me to pay deductible amount ( which was way more that my co-pay amount) instead of just my $5 co-pay, even though my Anthem app (that I showed them) showed my deductible had already been met. I asked them earlier on (at check-in) to verify with Anthem before I paid, but apparently they did not because when I got home and called Anthem, I was told that if the clinic had called, they would have been told that all I owed for this visit was my $5 co-pay. The clinic's front desk had me pay what they thought was an owed deductible with an assurance that if they made an error, they would reimburse me "next time". Why should I wait months down the line to be reimbursed for money I did not owe! Anthem told me the office should not have charged that deductible. This should have been checked before asking the patient to pay. I know for sure now that they were too lazy to check! Patients, if this happens to you, tell the front desk to just collect the co-pay and just bill you later on if there indeed is a deductible owed! Very rude reception people. I tried to start speaking about a time that works for me, but i kept getting interrupted. When i did explain I have jury duty in July, she acted like I'm supposed to know when it will be over, seriously????? It hasn't even started yet!!! Scheduling is awful. Discovered in the waiting room that at least 3 other patients were scheduled with the same doctor at the same time as my dad, and all waited nearly an hour to be called. The assistants are overwhelmed and trying their best. This practice needs to step up their office management. read more

Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. I have seen the doctors at Mosier Eye Center for the past 5 years. And every time I have the hope that it won't be a long wait time. But, every time I am disappointed and end up waiting for extended periods of time just to be seen. My appointment with the Opthamologist was fine. She is lovely, caring, professional and efficient. However, when I arrived, I was told that there was an emergency patient and that the doctor was working on this patient. I waited one hour before I was called. I wish that I would have been notified of this delay so that I could have been given the opportunity to cancel and reschedule for a different day and time. Who wants to wait for one hour just sitting there not knowing when you will be called. In addition, the opthamology staff were rude, short, and irritable with me. It's not my fault the appointment was late. Don't get grumpy with me. Then, I come back another day for my optical appointment. She was lovely, caring and professional as well. She leads me to the optical desk to talk with the technician about getting new glasses. I wait again for another 15 minutes before asking the front desk what is going on. The secretary tells me that all the optical staff are in a meeting, but they should be done soon. Ummmmm, what?!? Why do you have appointments when you have a staff meeting?!? So illogical and unprofessional. I was so annoyed. The technician finally came about 5 minutes later to help me. And, it gets better! Today I came to pick up my new glasses. I sign in on the Clipboard and sit down to wait. Both optical technicians were working with patients. About 20 minutes later, both patients leave and another patient comes to be helped. But, the other technician gets up to wander the office, chat with other optical staff, check their inventory of frames, look out the window at the rain, then finally sit down to do paperwork. Another 20 minutes has gone by, so I waited a total of 40 minutes. Thoroughly annoyed, I get up to walk to the sign in clipboard. The technician turns around and says, with attitude, "Can I help you?!?" I comment that I am here to pick up new glasses and he says, with attitude, "I'm sorry I didn't look at the list." I go to the desk and he goes to get my glasses. He adjusts them and spends a whole 5 minutes with me finally saying, "Merry Christmas." Again, it is not my fault for your mistakes. Don't get mad at me. Whatever happened to customer service? What is the point of having a sign in clipboard if you're not going to use it or check it? Why are you in a customer service field if you are going to be grumpy with the customer you are helping. So terribly frustrated. I think I will be finding a new center next time. read more

We drive quite far for this office, for Dr. Mosier. He is knowledgeable, patient, kind and truly listens to us. He never pushes for unnecessary treatments. We completely trust his judgment and feel confident and at ease in his care. There are 2 more people in the office that deserve mentioning; Joanna, the technician and Renne, the optician are super sweet. Opthamology with Dr Mosier is great. The Optometrist was great as well, but the last two times I received new glasses mistakes were made, and they had to be remade. The turn around time on glasses is rather long in the first place so waiting to get my glasses on both visits was a little frustrating. Dr. Pham is very educational and takes her time to explain any concerns you may have. Joanna displays exceptional customer service. Her warm demeanor and contagious laugh makes you feel welcomed. If it wasn't for these two, I probably would not recommend this location. If you have to fake liking people, then maybe the front desk isn't for you. read more

This review is long overdue and I've finally gotten the time to write it out. But long story short, beware of this place. They are more than happy to nickel and dime you, take your money, and waste your time. My last visit here was on January 4 and I will not be returning. I was scheduled for both a contact lense fitting and ophthalmologist appointment. The contact lense fitting went perfectly fine, and after some time I went in to have my eyes dilated before seeing the ophthalmologist. I waited a little over an hour before I was told that I would be seeing Dr. Pham. I initially thought I was seeing Dr. Mosier but didn't make a big deal out of it. About another 30 mins or so later I am examined by Dr. Pham. From this point on, my experience became worse. Dr. Pham was very negative throughout the entire process and made me feel very uneasy and nervous. She said that my left eye vision is worse than my right eye and then retracted how she phrased it by saying, "I mean it's not worse but it's a lot different" when she saw my expression. Then when I told her about symptoms I've been having, namely intermittent stabbing pain that alternates between both eyes and sends weird sensations in my body, she said I needed to see a neurologist because that's not my eyes. For the rest of the visit she continued to insist that I get in touch with my GP immediately and have him refer me to a neurologist. After the examination was finished, she said all is fine with my eye health except that I have dry eyes, so I will need to receive treatment and cannot wear contacts. So there's $60 out the window for a contact lense fitting that I was unable to be refunded. Had I known this was going to happen, I wish they would've advised me against doing a fitting before my ophthalmologist appointment. After I left the office, I did as Dr. Pham requested and mentioned her concerns to my GP. Needless to say, he was confused as to why an ophthalmologist would make a recommendation like this, especially if my eyes are healthy. He also found her behavior unprofessional. Then to make matters even more worse, when I went to CVS the next day I found out that the three prescriptions she was trying to put me on were going to cost me over $1,850.49! One of the "long term" ones she was trying to put me on known as Restasis costed over $600 on its own and needed authorization by my insurance, which might not even cover it in the first place. There were two "short term" medications she wanted to put me on and one of them (Cyclosporine) would've cost me a little over $1,000!!! In total all of these meds would cost more than my monthly rent. No ophthalmologist I know (and for people I know personally with dry eyes) has ever recommended an expensive treatment plan like this. They just get an over the counter recommendation of eye drops from their ophthalmologists. After a week or so I called the office to ask if I could see another ophthalmologist there and they told me I couldn't because Dr. Pham is the only dry eye specialist there. I told them I didn't want to see a dry eye specialist, but they insisted she was the only one I could see from now on. Now because of Dr. Pham I'm unable to bypass to see another ophthalmologist at this location, and I'm unable to get my contact lense prescription signed off on by the optometrist, Dr. Kattan. I wasted and lost money from my lense fitting that they wouldn't refund me. They only offered to "credit" my next fitting which they know I can't have because Dr. Pham said I can't wear contacts. I could hear Dr. Pham in the background telling the staff that I can't wear contacts because we need to wait until I have treatment to see how it goes. Dr. Pham was incredibly rude, condescending, and overall unprofessional, but then again so is most of their staff. Especially the front desk. Then they had the audacity to try and call me back to schedule another appointment with Dr. Pham and I told them no because I couldn't afford her treatment plan. The lady on the phone (I assume she was a member of the front desk staff) said "Oh that's normal, I can call your insurance and see if they will authorise it and call you back." No one ever called me back to follow up on this. I'm baffled as to why they'd put their patients on a treatment plan that the majority of them, myself included, probably can't afford. After my last visit (my second time there), they gave me the worst experience I've ever had at an eye care center, and purposely wasted my money and time. Do not go here! I highly recommend taking your business somewhere else. I know I will be. Also a few updates : I called the CVS pharmacy to check and see if they called my insurance to authorize my prescription and it still costs $1,850.49 even with insurance! Lastly, I did end up seeing a neurologist and getting an MRI a few months later due to anxiety from Dr. Pham's comment, and the results were normal. So she gave me all this anxiety for nothing! read more

Scheduled appointment at 3:00, 50 minute wait to get called in to see a technician for approximately 10 minutes. Another 30 minute wait to see another person. Unacceptable! Policy says if you don't call to cancel or reschedule you will be charged a fee. Should refund a part of your fee if you wait more than 10 minutes. Ridiculous service! read more

I have been very pleased with the care and patient education I continue to receive whenever I see Dr. Pham. Her diagnosis of the problem I'd been experiencing was instrumental to a marked improvement in my eye health and indeed, to my quality of life! I am writing this review with conscience and from my personal experience at Mosier Eye Center. The doctor who treated me was Dr. Cristina D. Leung. My experience was not the best, they examined my eyes twice, the first time I could not stand the new lenses, everything looked blurry, I went back for a second exam, the doctor ordered to change the lens material with the new prescription, these new lenses are worse than the first ones, I can't even use them at night, and even during the day I see less than with the first ones. I gave up, I don't want to go back there anymore, $400.00 thrown away. That has been my bad experience at Mosier Eye Center. read more

The scheduler squeezed me in and I saw Dr. Mosier within two weeks, which truly impressed me. My contact with staff was professional and friendly. I was a patient for about 10 years. Even before the pandemic, the customer service was faulty. Now the office staffs' excuse is that they are short-staffed. When calling this office, you will be put on hold without even getting to speak with a single person. The person answering the call doesn't even take the time to finish the sentence before putting the caller on hold. The only word the caller hears is "hold." The caller will wait on hold 20 minutes plus. The hold recording is advertising for Mosier and the caller must endure listening to it over and over again. This is a well-appointed office, clean, and relaxing with plenty of parking. Unfortunately, the customer service on the phone is atrocious. The optometry prices are very high. As of today, 7/25/2022, I am no longer a patient of Mosier Eye Center. I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

I have mixed emotions on this place. I have been there a handful of times thus far; Twice Dr. Pham was very professional and kind. Once I went and she was very condescending, and made me feel uncomfortable. The last time I visited she went from kind, to condescending, and back again. I'm not sure how that happens. She seems condescending when I question recommendations. Like some of the others, I also feel like I am getting nickle and dimed when I'm told it's recommended I need additional services and "the insurance doesn't cover these services." If the services are necessary, why are they not covered by insurance? And some of these additional services are very expensive. Right now I will probably go back for a follow-up appointment, but much will depend on that experience as to whether I go back. read more

I got new glasses after an eye exam, but the prescription was incorrect and I couldn't see with new glasses. I returned them, and all the optical staff would do was reorder my old prescription, even though I asked to see the optometrist. I also asked for a partial refund, since I paid almost $300 for the exact same prescription that I had previously. The staff said they would speak to the optometrist and let me know. It has been 2 weeks and no return call, and no refund. I've been a patient for about 6 years but not planning to return. read more

I have been to this place for 3~ 4 years. On last visit, they asked me to sign on small paper by saying doctor needs it during prep to see doctor. So I did. In my previous experience, I used to be requested from time to time to sign papers when I went to doctors' offices. It is most likely relevant to indemnifying doctors and the payment in case that insurance company deny to pay for my treatments. I realized that it was using machine to take pictures for my eyes and it was not covered by insurance. I have never been to this place for many years but it was first time for them to work in extent with not covered by Insurance. I did not get to know the reality until I came to front desk to make next appointment. The front desk asked me to pay certain amount. I wonder what I have to pay for, because my co-pay is zero on my insurance. She contended that I signed on the paper to pay. I defended that I heard from the employee (like nurse or something like that) doctor needed but I have never heard additional charge which is not covered by insurance. She threatened me by saying that she would hand over collection agency if I did not pay at that time. I felt like I am a aggrieved party. I talked to manager but she was also bureaucratic. I cancelled further appointment and left. I may not go there again. It was not good memory to me. read more

I was diagnose with cataracts in my mid 40s and by late 40s I couldn't see the text on my navigation screen of my car. My insurance refer me to Mosier Eye Center. Since this had to involve my eye, I did further research and also evaluated other eye centers. I decided to stick with Mosier and was connected with Doctor Pham. She is very warm and knowledgeable and explained the process to me. After the cataract surgery they don't just leave you and say bye, I have been back to have my eyes examined to make sure everything was on the up and up. So far, it's been almost a year since my cataract surgery and new eye lens and am satisfied with the results. The only issue I had was with the estimate process, they only gave me partial expense and came to found out there was more to pay at ta later date.. But Doctor Pham and other staff made up for it.
