Run away from this place. I went for prescription eye drops. Right away I was swept into the whole…read moreprocess of getting my vision checked and bunch of other "routine" tests. When I mentioned I only needed eye drops script their response was "you have to go through the routine screening in order to see a doctor". I figured my vision insurance (VSP in network) covers annual screening with a $5 copay (and that includes all the tests) so I went along with it. I have thick cornea which makes my intraocular pressure read slightly elevated (which is normal and very common). Dr Levey said let's do a Glaucoma test, it's gonna come back negative but let's do it. It's covered with my VSP so I agreed. The test was not available the day I was there so I had to come back 2 more times to get tested and then to see Dr Levey again for NEGATIVE results, all together it took 3 visits. End of story I got a bill for $430. They billed my medical insurance instead of vision insurance and now I have to pay the whole amount out of pocket. I agreed to all of it knowing I will owe $5 copay. Billing and office manager ZERO help, they said they don't even have my vision insurance on file, front desk didn't bother to look over my insurance card and note that I have one. As I am now looking at their reviews online other patients had exactly the same problem, this place is fraudulent, I am reporting them to BBB and NJ Health Department.

Yesterday I had an appointment at 11:40. When I arrived, the office was chaotic, which is not…read moreunusual here. They have added more doctors which has made it worse. Techs were complaining about getting Arby's for lunch. I was put in a room and started doom scrolling to pass the time. The doctor never came in. I opened the door and 2 techs were standing there. The one that put me in the room acted surprised and said "you're still here?" Then made some excuse about not turning on the correct light. I waited some more, then left a note for the doctor saying it was 1 pm and I was leaving. Not the first time I waited for over an hour here. They overbook which makes me feel like I am just a billing event and not a patient. Dr Levey always seems rushed so I figured the exam would be too. Waited until today to post this to see if the doctor would call and apologize. Of course that did not happen. I would not have posted this if she did. I understand that people make mistakes, but they need to own it. Suggestion for the doctor, have them print your appointments for the day, plan your time accordingly (maybe have them book your time so you are not so rushed), cross them off when you see them. Maybe then you would have realized, you missed me. Your room light system obviously does not work. Especially when your staff is distracted by the lunch menu. If you want more feedback, call me. I see your typical response in these threads is to ask the poster to call someone in your office. I find that to be condescending and indicative that the person's care and or opinion is not really that important to you.
