The office is decorated beautifully, with panoramic views of the Superdome and Benson Towers. Dr. Washington's Nurse Practitioner took my medical history, chief complaints, and vitals. She was personable, great bedside manner and friendly. After a few minutes Dr. Washington entered the room and actually talked to me, eye to eye. She asked very detailed questions and provided medical advice out of genuine concern for my health. Dr. Washington completed my head to toe assessment and offered feedback throughout the exam. The frustration is unreal on my end, I had communicated multiple times with the staff prior to my appointment and it would have been great to know prior to the appointment that they wouldn't take my insurance. Staff showed zero concern or fault for it either, they just asked who I spoke to (which was different people via email, so they could have looked in their system). We are a military family without friends/family to help with childcare. My ability as a stay at home mom to see a doctor is extremely difficult and involves my husband having to take off work to stay with kids. So an entire afternoon was taken off by my husband so I could attend this appointment, all for nothing.

An appointment with Dr. Berenson was made for 9:00 AM and he was right on time. He spent approximately 45 minutes speaking with my wife and getting to the root of the problem. Dr. Berenson was calming and at no point did my wife feel rushed. He provided much useful information and he patiently answered every question. He provided two prescriptions for pickup at a nearby pharmacy and even offered to speak to our primary care physician back home if required. Dr. Berenson was comforting and effective during a frightening time far from home. I highly recommend him.
