Everyone was very professional, and pleasant. On top of that, while they worked on me, they weren't going too fast or poking me just to say "does that hurt". They told me I had 1 cavity. Perfect. Had to get an urgent root-canal for a very painful…read moretooth. I was referred to Dr Orr, called on Tuesday afternoon and got an appt for the next day. All procedural (including extraction) as well as financial options were discussed and put on paper. The procedure was as much more quick and painless than I could ever have imagined. Dr Orr was highly-skilled, moved quickly to alleviate the pain and the overall procedure was excellent. More importantly than all of that: Dr Orr is FREAKING HYSTERICALLY funny, and I don't say that easily. She and her assistant chatted and joked and kept moving through the procedure effortlessly. Her humor and empathy made it a joyful experience and I am actually looking forward to returning. What a jewel this place is and the people of the greater Simsbury area are blessed to have her and her staff. 10/5 would recommend enthusiastically !

They billed for everything that I was told would be covered by insurance and when I tried to rersolve it, no one ever called me back and they just keep sending the same bill over and over! From the day it was put in, until the day it fell out on its own, it caused pain, gum swelling and intermittent migraines. I returned to Dr Sanford for 4 additional visits with the same concerns and reported pain. On the 4th visit Dr. Sanford was visibly angry and very aggressive in his approach in examining the crown and overall area in question. He was also insistent the crown work had been completed 5 years prior and vehemently disagreed with my statement of 4 months until he found the date in my medical records. After 4 visits with no visible progress made, and now having a frustrated doctor taking it out on me, I choose another dental group to reinstall a proper fitting crown. It, along with several other crowns that I have had for many years are working great! Between Dr. Sanford's inability or interest to make the appropriate corrections and his highly unprofessional behavior, I requested a return of payment. He wrote a letter placing responsibility on me, the patient, for the dental issues. He refused to reimburse but instead advised me to come in again to see what could be done. Candidly, when I have an issue with my car, I do not give the mechanics 4 chances to get it right. Why would I have a lower standard for my own personal dental health? The service provided was sub-par at best. At the very least, a refund should be made. Simply a dreadful experience!

Everyone from my local dentist to the CTMAX personnel suggested I have my wisdom teeth removed,…read morealthough they were not in pain. They said it would be better in the long run for me and would alleviate "future issues". They also said it would be best to take them out all at once and kill multiple birds with one stone. So I did so, spent about $800+ out of pocket. My very good & stable insurance carrier (rare these days) paid the rest. Since this time, I have had intense TMJD, locking jaw, shooting pains, acid reflux and I have not eaten meat in many years, as I can't chew it. I have been referred to orthodontists and physical therapists who each suggested splints and physical therapy. After being discouraged I have paid out of pocket for a number of physicians, maxillofacial professionals and orthodontists, none of which have helped but all who seemed to want me to return. None seemed focused on addressing my TMJD, nor treating any pain. Finally, after spending close to 4k out of pocket I have located a maxillofacial surgeon and an orthodontist who have begun to undo the errors made. I would not recommend CTMAX to anyone. I would get multiple opinions before ever getting wisdom teeth removed.
