This company has the absolute worst communication and follow up. NEVER use!!! on April 2. I reached out requesting quotes for a construction policy to replace my homeowners policy which expired in June. After additional emails, and then numerous phone calls, I received no information. I got my construction policy through my builder. In June, I was told it was too late to cancel my homeowners insurance (house was torn down) that a letter in writing was necessary. I referenced my April 2 email. I had also requested information on my auto policy as I am no longer commuting to work and thought that would have a positive impact on my premium. As of this writing, it has been almost 4 months and I've still have not received any communication. It is too easy to stay with the same company out of convenience. I've reached my limit. Last year I had four policies. Maybe hitting his pocketbook will have more of an impact. I am also reporting this to the the California insurance commission. DON'T USE BILL WHITE!!!!! This has been the worst insurance agency I've ever worked with, with consistently poor customer service. You will almost never be able to speak with Bill, and on the rare occasions you reach Teresa, she unorganized, does not follow up, and often provides misleading information. I strongly recommend avoiding this agency. They're quick to take your money but unresponsive when you need support. Instead of posting defensive replies on Yelp, the owner should focus on improving customer service. read more

This was the most unprofessional service I have experienced from any service provider. Communication was consistently poor, and the failure to communicate ultimately resulted in the loss of our home insurance coverage. The replacement policy they arranged was nearly three times the cost, included insufficient coverage in key areas, and improperly listed coverage for secondary dwellings that do not exist. When we requested corrections, they declined to assist. Despite multiple requests over several months, they also failed to add our trust to the policy, and when it was finally added, the trustee information was entered incorrectly. Overall, the experience involved repeated errors, lack of responsiveness, and an unwillingness to resolve issues. Ultimately, we changed our broker, and we are very happy with the new broker. Customer service is nonexistent. No answer to emails, and no response to messages left with his answering service. If you're lucky enough to get a return call, there are lots of excuses and handwaving. This is NOT the way to run a business. Prior to paying for our auto, home, and umbrella policies, this agent literally blew up my phone so I would commit to placing my business with his agency. Now, it is impossible to connect with him or his office staff. I have no issues with Allstate as a company, but working with Bill White has been very challenging. When renewal time comes around, I will be looking for a new Allstate agent. Insurance should not be this difficult. read more

I've been a customer of this company, at this location for over 25 years. In the past this organization was first class. Great service and a very attentive staff. I was happy to give my business to Allstate. In 2020 something drastically changed. Since September I have placed multiple calls to the Allstate in Danville and have never had one single call returned. I sold a house and needed to cancel the policy and never received a call back. Made several attempts and no response. I don't really understand why no one answers the telephone anymore. It's like they are closed and don't care about their customers. Needless to say the policy renewed automatically and I was charged for a policy for a home I no longer own. Not a great customer experience but I'm sure they do not care at all. I bought a new house in December and made several attempts to get a quote for a new policy and again no calls returned. I eventually spoke to someone named Breanne who told me someone would call me back to give me a quote. Again, no one ever called back. I completely understand the complications of running a business during the challenges of COVID-19, but what I cannot understand is how customer calls can go unacknowledged for months and absolutely no attention paid to customers trying to conduct business. Absolutely no customer service here. It is a mystery whether this office is even still in business. Absolutely deplorable customer experiences. HORRIBLE BUSINESS OWNER....never returns calls unless they want money I auto pay my insurance so that i am never late. I moved from Seattle to the Bay Area and wanted to transfer down my account (seattle allstate wasnt much better). Seemed simple enough. Except that AllState, evertime you call, they never listen to a thing you say, they just want money. Now I have called 4x and left messages with no one returning my call because the DMV is sending me notices of intent to suspend my registration because they do not have proof of insurance. What is the point of using AllState when they dont do a thing for you. FYI, i have never been in an accident or even so much as had a speeding ticket in the last 7 years. read more

If I could rate negative stars I would, I had to call for 14 days strait before I could get an answer about my insurance that only needed to be renewed. Theresa does not return calls, she is never in the office and she finally got around to calling me back, the rate was increased by double from one year to the other. She blamed it on the underwriters and I do have expertise in this area, a good agent can step up and clarify and or reason with an underwriter when it makes sense. Note that there were no changes or claims. Poor service would be a compliment. They should be reported to the BBB for incompetence. I ended up getting a policy from another agency and it was $172 for liability (fitness instructor), Allstate's rate was $500, last year it was $225. read more

Worst insurance agents I've ever had. They rarely returned calls and when they offered to provide assistance, it was never in a timely manner. I recently asked for help finding new home and umbrella policies as my premiums had gone up 50% over the last three years - even though no claims had ever been filed. They said they would get back to me with suggestions...but after waiting for over a month, I still have nothing. So now I'm with Mercury. The customer service from Bill and Teresa White and their staff is outstanding. In an age where you have to go through phone trees and routing to call centers all around the globe, it is so refreshing to be able to call and actually reach the owner and have them walk you through all the steps of your policy or your coverage. I was rear ended in 2015 and had a personal injury claim above auto damage. Although I had to go through the other drivers insurance carrier, Bill took the time (on multiple occasions) to personally walk me through the steps and what to expect from the other carrier and how to navigate the system to advocate for myself. I can't thank you enough, it was a long process, but ultimately, I was comfortable with the outcome and I would have never have gotten to that point without Bill guiding me through. I would never get this type of service from Geico, Progressive, or another online carrier. Initially I selected Teresa White from William White Insurance for two reasons: she was recommended by James Dye who is my real estate agent (and who is the best in this field!) and she offered the best price. She also made the process as painless as possible. Just to give me an estimate, other agents asked a lot of questions, and I had to work hard to find answers. One agent even asked where the nearest fire hydrant was! The fire department did not know this, so I had to call the water department. Teresa, however, really shined later on, after I paid the full amount and the insurance policy was activated. In about a month I got a letter from the company stating that they reevaluated the house, increased the coverage, and billed me for more money! Actually, the company was not guilty; they had to do this because this was required by a special law. This is a very good and clever law because who am I to decide how much coverage I need? Of course the government knows better (Good morning, Soviet Union!). Going back to Teresa. I put this matter in her powerful hands, and the charge was reversed. To sum up, I believe Teresa does much better work than about a dozen other insurance agents I have dealt with in course of my life, and I recommend her to all of you. read more

I have known the White's for wow... well over 15 years now. They have been providing our families insurance needs and have become trusted allies when we had any questions or received any unclear correspondence from corporate office (truthfully that happens once in a blue moon). This wonderful husband and wife team have shown me how much they value our business time and time again and you would get bored from reading if I listed everything. Some examples though are... There was a time when our family wasn't doing so good (finances and health). Teresa worked endlessly after hours and on weekends to find us the best options for our family. The commitment of Allstate Insurance does not start and stop with these fabulous people though, the customer service from their staff is just as awesome! I can't tell you how many times I have called (after not calling for some months) and the staff that answers the phone greets me by name, and not just because they have caller ID, but because they remember my family from our visits to the office. Allstate Insurance: William White and the phrase "Above and Beyond" don't begin to explain it. Even if Bill or Teresa are not available at the time they always call me back in a reasonable time. For example: About 10 years ago when our first child started driving.
