They first came out and inspected my current air conditioner and found it had multiple problems. After much deliberation, sense new units are expensive. I decided to get a new one. I was given quotes for repairing my old unit and a quote that I asked for for a new unit. There was no sales pressure. They do not work off of commission. The gentleman owns his own business. He was patient and answered all of my questions thoroughly. And once I made the decision a day and a half later, he was installing the unit. I have to alert you though that he's more expensive than a lot of companies on labor. He charges $125/hour. I've had other good companies recently that have been in the area of $90/hour. Chris has charged me $165 a couple times for a puff of air to unclog a drain line, and the only time I was given a price up front was for my complete system. There were also unexpected add-ons with my last repair. Again though, really nice and knowledgeable man and excellent work. He'll do the job right for you, but I definitely recommend talking cost before moving ahead with repairs. That's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

They were careful and did my repair for a fair price. Stay away from the big boys that offer $20 or $30 checkups. Before you know it you are getting the hard sell to replace your unit for a $3000 profit or pay $300 to replace a $10 capacitor. Finally, make sure you get a quote from Juan for HVAC replacement if your unit is shot. I bet you save well over $1000.

The Tech that came out did do some work for me did a good job. Very polite and not pushy. Were the Pic's he should me my AC-Unit??? Now I am not sure. I asked if they could use my parts another company removed which were my UV-Lites. I was told possible but would get back to me with a price. Maybe like $300-$400 / not cheap. I never hear back from the Tech. They do charge $75 just to come out and $120 an Hour for any work. Was told these are competitive prices. If they could not use my old connections, then call and give me a Price of what you would install. Instead they just ignored me and I'm letting others know how you might be treated by Mercury Air.
