I was pushed and shoved by this Insurance Company that dragged me along and would not put anything in writing to deny the claim. So I filed a Small Claims action, but yet the big Defense Lawyers started playing their games and finally I was referred to Charles McAleer by a mutual friend. Long story short 10 days before the first actual court hearing after additional delays by opposing counsel, Charles firm decides to drop the case and left me high and dry. Now my case was Dismissed because I failed to appear. I live in California and did not receive the proper notice to be able to travel. Don't waste your time on this money grabber firm, the only reason, in my opinion, was my case was abandoned by McAleer was because it didn't have enough $$$$$$$$ signs. The Mission statement on their website sounds great in theory, but don't be fooled this firm is just another MEGA Ambulance Chaser type law firm.

It took four years but they kept in touch with me until the end. When we went to the deposition, they were there. Driving through Georgia earlier this year I received a citation for speeding. I genuinely thought I…read morewas not speeding and attempted to point out multiple reasons why this was the case to the officer who was not hearing it. While I was going slow, and at the speed I believed the road I was on was posted at (according to my GPS that had just directed me off ramp to said road) I apparently passed into a school zone unbeknownst to me and was speeding at just the level (41, 16 over during school time) GA reports back to my home state and therefore my insurance company with all the increased rates that entails. While I was willing to pay for speeding, I wanted to avoid those rate increases and some research showed me that this was possible given that if they would simply adjust that speed down to 39 (14 over) those fees (and reporting, from GA) would go away. This is something the court system, law enforcement, and lawyers at firms like Hendrick and Henry deal with all of the time. I called them and tried to describe my scenario. The person who took my call was very abrupt and obviously not interested in details. She informed me whatever they did would require I pay that day a flat $750 which I was willing to do if needed. In general question and answer phase, she basically told me the court wouldn't even look at or talk to me without representation so defending myself or corresponding with them solo would be pointless. But when I said I had a couple of other minor tickets on my record in my home state from the past 7 years (speeding, but none "super speeding" or the like) she clicked her tongue and said she'd have to check with the lawyers to see if it was worth their time to represent me. They never called me back. I did some more research and found that the service I was requesting was generally $250-400 for most firms and that most likely they hadn't gotten back to me because they are safeguarding their win ratios as closely as possible so event the slightest risk negotiation wouldn't work left me out in the cold. I corresponded directly with the district court my ticket fell in, and they worked with me over the course of weeks to make that reduction and save my insurance hikes, though I did indeed still have to pay a hefty ticket/fine. So: they quoted me a wildly out of pocket amount, sold me on the "fact" that without them I'd be toast, didn't care to hear the details, and didn't return my call. With the help of Google I did every step they would have done had they taken my $750 and got as positive a result as possible given the situation.

Not an opinion on their legal competence, rather the responsiveness and professionalism…read morecontacted the office of Hendrick & Henry on Saturday, April 4, through the portal regarding a traffic ticket. On Monday, April 6, I received a call back from a woman at the office. The interaction was brief (1 minute and 28 seconds), and her tone was notably curt. She indicated that she would not discuss the matter until she knew the court where the appearance would be required and instructed me to send a photo of the ticket via text to the phone number she called from. The call ended before I was able to obtain her name. I subsequently texted a photo of the ticket as requested but did not receive any follow-up communication. Having owned and run a professional practice for over 20 years, I am well aware that one of the primary client concerns is non-responsiveness. If there is no follow-up with a prospective client, it raises concerns about responsiveness after a retainer is received. Will be moving on.

I…read morehad already wasted time and money with another Attorney who did nothing for my case nor educated me about my right's as a father until that is; I came across Mr. William P. Churchill. When I found him, we had very little time to prepare for my case that had went to a court ordered mediation. After a free thirty minute phone consultation with him. Mr. Churchill wanted more understanding about my case and even invited me to meet with him for another free consultation, so that he could understand my case even better. That really impressed me becasue most Lawyers will show you in no time it is all about the money, but not Mr. Churchill. He truly cared to listen to me and what it was that I wanted and could be up against as a Father seeking his rights to his child. Once I obtained his services; he started working almost immediately on my case. He was very professional as well as organized. He was easy to get a hold of and would actually call you to keep you updated on your case. When it came time for the Mediation he stood his ground with the other sides council and did not let me sign nor do anything that would jeopardize me and my rights as a father. He went into the mediation with my best interest at heart as his client and that is a great quality you want in an Attorney especially a Father seeking fair representation. In closing I would like to say if you are a father be careful who you have representing you. Take your time to do your research as I did becasue at the end of day I can't experess how important it is to have the right hired Attorney for the job!! Thanks for all you have done for me Mr. William P. Churchill!
