My third cleaning was a bit rough- most of the people I've had walked me through what they were doing and gave some verbal direction while I was under the lamp, but this last time I couldn't even spit, swallow, wash out or clean during my appointment. Embarrassingly enough I ended up drooling all over half my shirt without any help during a normal cleaning. I still love this place and it's convenient so I'll come back but will request another staff member.

Of course it was a big fat needle and there was no getting around that, but Dr. Nghiem is very gentle and caring and he knows what he's doing: a true professional During the procedure he observed me intently during every step of the procedure so as to make sure to stop if he notices me flinch in pain. I felt so safe and relaxed. Also, I never felt the drill. There is nothing whatsoever to fear in his chair. I often feel that dentists don't take enough time to make sure I'm not feeling anything, but Dr. Nghiem stopped so often to check on me, it almost felt coddling! I felt so cared for and I can say that even more confidently considering I was having him finish the job of another dentist that 1) couldn't get me numb and 2) didn't care whether I was numb and seemed annoyed with me for not getting numb. Well, it's been 2+ years now since getting my two front teeth crowned and they look as beautiful and feel as great as ever. Not one time have I felt like someone was looking at me, questioning whether or not my teeth are real. Nor have experienced any pain, chipping or issues whatsoever. I will update this review as the years go on, but so far so perfect!! Now here's the REAL proof of Dr. Nghiem's expertise as a cosmetic dentist: I am currently dating a girl I was previously friends with for 6 months. I didn't tell her my two front teeth were fake until well after we started dating (8 months after meeting her!). She had no idea. I almost think they look better than my real teeth would. I have…read morecompleted a year of extensive dental work and can say that all the procedures were explained, my opinion weighed in making decisions, all procedures went as expected, I experienced almost no pain and am totally delighted with the results. To be clear I had extractions, a bone graft, bridges and crowns , multiple cleanings and an implant. The staff is helpful, pleasant and efficient. I received reminders so that I never missed an appointment and did not wait long once in the office for my time in the chair to begin. While needing major dental work is not a good position to be in, this team makes the experience as pleasant as possible. I can only say this dental experience was the best ever in my 80 years.

I still miss the exceptional way my teeth felt after a cleaning here. I have a bite guard Dr. Finn made that has lasted for over 15 years! Dentists I have seen since actually know this practice when they ask who did my work-even in DC (truth, I have sealants that have lasted over 25 years and every dentist I've seen is astounded ). All procedural (including extraction) as well as financial options were discussed and put on paper. The procedure was as much more quick and painless than I could ever have imagined. Dr Orr was highly-skilled, moved quickly to alleviate the pain and the overall procedure was excellent. More importantly than all of that: Dr Orr is FREAKING HYSTERICALLY funny, and I don't say that easily. She and her assistant chatted and joked and kept moving through the procedure effortlessly. Her humor and empathy made it a joyful experience and I am actually looking forward to returning. What a jewel this place is and the people of the greater Simsbury area are blessed to have her and her staff. 10/5 would recommend enthusiastically !

Sophia Beason-Brown is hands on the best dentist I have ever had, and I've traveled the globe. Sure, I know for a fact that there are other great Dentists on the planet. I haven't met any of them personally though and I don't need any other dentist. She uses great equipment but could do the job expertly on 1960s technology. It's a rare dentist that has technicians who are genuine experts and are acknowledged and valued as such. Even the cleaning staff is recognized and valued. Sophia Beason-Brown is a gem.
