I have had interactions with both Dr. Lashgari and Dr. McKenna, and they are excellent with children, personable with parents, and very good at explaining the process. TL/DR version: use this orthodontic practice. They have integrity and don't try to push you into braces for your child before its time. Full story: My son was referred to an orthodontist by his dentist at age 7 or 8. The practice we went to first (not McKenna) wanted to pull out teeth, put in some sort of pre-orthodontia and then put in braces years down the line. I wanted a second opinion, so I took my son to McKenna for a free consultation. They told me there was no need to pull teeth, or do anything right now for that matter, and that we should wait until all his baby teeth fell out. They said there is only so much cooperation you can get with kids when it comes to orthodontics so it's best to wait. In short, they were not trying to fleece me like the other orthodontic practice was. McKenna offered free consultations every six months to keep an eye on things until the time came. Fast forward four years and it's time for braces. I had heard horror stories about braces being so painful, I was nervous for my son. There was no need because he said it didn't hurt at all. I trust the orthodontists at McKenna to have the best interests of my son at heart and not to add on extra unnecessary services only to pad their wallet. Truly a great find!

If I could Give Dr. Rosenberg negative stars I would. I do not like him as a person. As an…read moreorthodontist I guess he's fine. But I found him to be a manipulative bully. We were shopping orthodontists and met with him. He gave us a quote which was $600 more than a competitor (even with a discount) and he pressure sold us into going with him. My child wanted to get braces on as soon as possible and he said he could do it the following week, but we had to decide right then or the discount was off the table. So we did. Still kicking myself!! Note, our experience with the staff as a whole was great! Just not Rosenberg! We had another meeting with him and my child and I both agreed after leaving that meeting that he was just awful. But we were already too far in. At one point, he quoted me one price for a particular type of retainer. At our next appointment my child wanted that particular retainer, but the price suddenly went up on us. He tried to talk us into a different one (which was not as durable). When I called him out on the price change he said in a not quiet voice in front of everyone "Are you calling me a liar?" And then threatened to drop us as clients. It was such an uncomfortable, unprofessional situation! If it weren't for my child sitting right there (I'm sure so embarrassed) I would have given him the business and called him out on his behavior and then dropped them in a heartbeat!! I don't "hate" people, that's not who I am. But I hate everything about Rosenberg. I don't think I've even written a negative review in my life until right now.

She said no they terminated our plan and will not see us. She then proceeds to advise we will need to pay $500 to have them removed when technically we paid for all services that were tied to the full 2 years of appointments. She told me to come in then spoke with someone came back on the phone and said never mind I am terminating your daughter. She then hung up in my face now we paid over $4000 for my daughter to have braces and they will not allow me to come back!!! They will see me in court!!! That was a very long time to be there. While she was thorough, it felt a bit like overkill.
