There is a therapy pool that contains an operating underwater treadmill that can be raised or lowered, allowing a person to move a sore or injured limb without the usual amount of pain. It is usually around 94 degrees, a perfect temperature to work out in and not be too cold either. There are jets that provide massage therapy as well. The treadmill has different speeds also, allowing the therapists to accommodate to any specific need of a patient, which enhances their healing time. The fitness center features air compressors that can add or subtract weight to the machines, eliminating the strenuous task of getting up from the machine and moving a pin and weights manually. AquaWorx Exercise Specialists provide an initial assessment of what you would like to accomplish and how well you will be able to accomplish it. In addition, setting up workout plans and giving you the means to follow through with those plans. There are many volunteers, interns, and employees who walk around assisting each person individually. Providing reinforcement and re-evaluation. There are also groups and classes you can attend weekly, some of which include balance and yoga. And again, the physical therapists are great at what they do. They always give their client enough of their time to fully understand the problem and figure out a solution. I don't think I've ever waited more than 5-10 minutes in the waiting area, and then only a couple of times. I've had a couple of emergencies over the years and they've always worked hard to fit me in at the last minute. And Dr. Miles gives the BEST numbing shots EVER!! I don't feel hardly anything. Considering a visit to the dentist is at the bottom of most people's list, Dr. Miles and his staff have always made my visits enjoyable.

Step by step week by week things are getting better. Greg is patient but not afraid to have me try the next drill and will either recommend I go for it or hold off another week. And while I still can't run, I know exactly which hurdles I still have to get over and am excited to get back to full health!

I have been to many medical facilities in the past three years and it is the first time I was asked to be the medical records clerk for myself. I use a smart phone and a laptop, but not a tablet. My husband tried to help but we could not get the correct info input. Everywhere else, someone took my info and they input it into the system that they know well and were trained on. I am to get an injection in my neck. When I expressed my apprehension to get the procedure when my medical information was incomplete, I was told to "Take it or leave it". "The info does not matter anyway." Gives them an out if there is a problem, right? It was my responsibility to get all relevant information into their system, not them. I am all for progress but when it comes to medical issues, their data collection needs to be user friendly. They have to know that patient inputted data has to be at high risk of being inaccurate. Apparently they do not care about accuracy. How does that impact care at this facility?

If you come in off the street with mysterious foot pain like I did, you may wait a long while, or you may be bounced to another clinic. Good news is there's loads of paperwork to fill out while you wait..but they work with you financially if you're in the Obamacare 'donut hole' like me. I paid a very fair price for diagnosis, blood work and medication. Facilities are clean and new, and they can do a lot in-house. They even have dentistry onsite. This is a branch of Bear River Health, who does a lot to make health care more accessible to our community.

The staff were friendly and kind they listened to my wife and cared about her as a person. We got there when there was no emergency line, and they took us right back. The staff were attentive and did the how they could to make my wife comfortable. This is an exemplary facility. Dr. Tormond was wonderful, and Gill the ER Director even stopped by to make sure that everything went well and we were treated well. I cannot recommend this place any higher.

And on our last…read moreday, when we had to drive to Salt Lake City for our flight, my daughter woke up with nausea and vomiting. We decided to drive and see how her sickness progresses. We had to stop few times on the way and finally went to the ER. Luckily, they weren't very busy. We got checked in and taken to the room in 10 min. The nurse and MD were both very nice. Once they found out that we had a flight home in just a few hrs and still had a way to go to SLC they took care of us pretty fast. Basic labs were done in 10 min and I was given copy. Dr. Vernon is the BEST pediatrician. In fact, I wish she could be our family doctor. On more than…read moreone occasion, I have asked her for referrals of doctors in other specialties because I trust her so much. I have also gotten many of my family members to change pediatricians to Dr. Vernon - they have all loved her. She really cares about her patients and makes them feel comfortable. My son is always excited to go see Dr. Vernon and the staff. She does a great job talking to the patients and not just the parents. She also schedules enough time for appointments to thoroughly discuss what is going on with your child. Last winter, my daughter was continually getting sick with fevers and congestion. I was able to speak with Dr. Vernon in the middle of the night when I was worried about my daughter's breathing. That winter was the only time I doubted Dr. Vernon. I thought she was missing something serious. She listened to me and did additional blood tests which (thankfully) didn't show anything wrong. She assured me the sickness should go away in the warm weather...and she was right! My daughter has rarely gotten sick since the weather got better. I would (and have) recommended Dr. Vernon to anyone with children.

Dr. Yohanna Vernon has a good bedside manner and is fun for kids when they are healthy, but when we…read morereally needed her help as our pediatrician she did not fulfill her responsibilities to us or to public health by 1) not advising a COVID test when appropriate, and 2) not providing any guidelines of care or a video appointment when my daughter got COVID. Dr. Yohanna Vernon's behavior exhibited that she had not ever thought through how to deal with COVID patients, which is surprising and deeply concerning given the prevalence of COVID at this time, and the responsibility that she as a health care provider has to help prevent spread of COVID and serious disease. The long story: My daughter got COVID from daycare, and when I called because she woke up with a cough that scared me, Dr. Vernon told me that "croup was going around" and told me to only worry if she had trouble breathing outside of coughing fits or started turning blue. From this I mistakenly understood that "croup" was a distinct virus that affected children and that I should monitor my daughter for signs of difficulty breathing. However, it turned out the "croup" was COVID, I found out when I got symptoms several days later and decided to test us both. It is disappointing that she did not suggest my daughter get a COVID test, but it was truly poor medical care when I called to ask for care guidelines and got none and did not get a call back for 4 days, and then when I called again I got to listen to a litany of excuses for why this was not within their "triage" procedure, that I should have made an appointment (but did not advise this until after the fact, didn't offer a video appointment, and then when it came down to it didn't want a COVID patient in clinic, of course), I should have looked online (the first thing that comes up is to call your primary care, so this was circular and confusing), I should have known with "common sense" to get a COVID test/wear a mask before I got symptoms/not wear a mask after we tested positive/etc, I should have... and... we needed to find a new pediatrician. Instead of this unprofessional behavior, I feel strongly it would be appropriate to have a clear set of guidelines that could be given over the phone by front office or emailed, and to provide video care for patients with COVID symptoms.
