Our group ordered ice cream, and it looks like they serve blue bunny ice cream. Willies ice cream is a part of Willie's dogs next door. Overall, it was a pretty standard ice cream experience.

There is something about this guy that is so endearing. He's really into hot dogs and it shows . They are unique, delicious, they snap, they're just wonderful. Now he has a permanent place, not just traveling hot dog carts. AND IT ROCKS! There is much more on the menu at the Inner Rail at Aksarben. We had the Maverick. It's a burnt end sausage with slaw, spicy mustard, and BBQ sauce. We asked for the BBQ sauce on the side and added (for free) jalapeños. Oh.. my.. God. Absolutely amazing. The sausage is his own recipe. It may be the best I have ever had. It was so delish. Unlike the hot dog, it does not snap which is a good thing. The BBQ sauce, in my mind, is not necessary for this sandwich. We barely touched it. The Maverick is one of those menu items that will have me ordering nothing else for now on. I hate when that happens. But I love it too!

BOOM! Omaha's original dog is in the house! It's a hot dog but so much more! Created with passion and love from an Omaha native. Available at Aksarben's Inner Rail Food Hall which is a great spot to have lunch or dinner with friends. I've had Willie Dogs previously and this dog is as solid as they come. Great beefy /smokey flavor and the hot dog has a great snap! The owner even sat down and chatted with us for a while! Great times- great food!

Where do I even begin? My sister and I were able to track down this little hot dog food truck that we had heard so much about right outside of Kros Strain Brewing's new downtown location. The owner is so incredibly kind and was great about answering all our questions. We got the Willie Way (with brown sugar onions and Willie Good Sauce) and the Traditional (sauerkraut and whole grain mustard) with normal Willie Dog wieners. Both blew our minds away, but the Willie Way was definitely our favorite. The Willie Good Sauce that he makes is so delicious and adds so much to the hot dog. There was also the option to add banana peppers to the hot dogs, which was a really cool and unique touch! We also split a double chocolate chip brownie with whip cream on top - the perfect dessert to wrap up our meal! The great thing is that Kros Strain lets you bring food inside, so we got to enjoy some nice beers with our hot dogs. I'm already planning on my next return to try out the Smoked Polish wiener rather than the Willie Dog! In talking to the owner, it sounds like he's planning on having his stand at a lot of cool upcoming events, including Omaha Beer Week. It's great to hear about how he works with and supports a lot of local businesses. I highly recommend everyone find out where Willie Dogs will be next and try out their delicious food!

Willie Dogs is willie good! My sister and I tracked down their cart at Millwork Commons in NoDo during CWS. We had a great time chatting with the owner, Ryan, who is enthusiastic about what he does. He not only had a lot to say about his work, but also the NoDo neighborhood as well as upcoming Omaha events this summer! Regarding their food, my sister and I ordered the Willie Way and the Traditional. The Traditional with sauerkraut and mustard was so good. However, the highlights were the brown sugar onions and Willie Good sauce on the Willie Way! Fun fact - they make their own hot dogs and the buns are locally made! I'm intrigued by the baked beans which have peaches in them, but they were out the day I went so I'll have to track them down again! We treated ourselves to the dessert of the day - a fudge brownie topper with whipped cream which was phenomenal. Tips: -off the menu - ask if he has any "secret ingredients" or desserts. These are rotating extras and depend on the season and what he wants to experiment with at the time. When we were there, he added banana pepper and garlic. -location - to find Willie Dogs, check their social media! -if you are at NoDo Kros Strain, they allow customers to bring your meal inside the bar or onto the patio For my info - see my sister's extensive review!

La Casa Pizzaria food truck - Killer meatball sub

When asked they said the system was still set to weekend prices (today is Tuesday) and there was nothing they could do. Maybe offer me a free drink or something to make up the close to 30% price hike.

La Casa is possibly "Omaha style" pizza at its finest. This means square pieces of pie on thin,…read moreslightly crispy crust. Well, if you read the history of the restaurant on the wall at their brick-and-mortar location on Leavenworth Street, La Casa claims this is Sicilian style pizza. Maybe it is, but for those who grew up in Omaha and have chomped down their fair share of pizza during travels across the land, we know there is no substitute for a couple good slices -- no, squares -- of La Casa's famous pizza. And now they've brought their comfort food to a curbside near you. I have to admit, of all the restaurants out there launching food trucks, I never expected La Casa to be one of them. But they did. And did it right. Their truck is shiny and new with a limited menu of favorites from their restaurants, from meatball subs to toasted ravioli to a few varieties of pizza, plus gelato for dessert. I stumbled upon them in the parking lot in Benson on a Wednesday night. Starving, I was. Pizza, I had to have. So for $5, I ordered two squares, one sausage and one four cheese. As I took my first bite, I was transported back to a dimly lit dining room in a house converted to a restaurant on Leavenworth street. A few bites later, it was all gone and I was sad and alone sitting on my living room couch. That's the one piece of advice I have -- order more than two squares. Definitely add some onion rings or toasted ravioli or else you'll still be hungry. I mean can you remember the last time you stopped eating after putting down just two squares of La Casa pizza? No, you chomped down half the pie, and you know it.

They had the Nebraska game playing and a bar for a great hangout session to take family or friends. There's also a bar with cocktails, NA drinks, and liquor/beer to order. We're pretty sure the person who owns the establishment was in the bar area and he was super kind and friendly. The lobster roll and the chicken tenders were delicious. The Connecticut role could have used more butter but otherwise a great ratio of lobster meat and a perfectly toasted roll. The chicken tenders were gluten free with nashville hot seasoning. The fries were crispy and the ranch was to die for. Both were served in about 5 minutes and we cannot wait to go back to try the others foods!

I've had burgers from Nocturnal Eats and now a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich from Burning Bridges. Every. Single. Time. I am blown away by the food these trucks serve. Not only do the employees work so hard, but I strong stand in saying their offerings are better than most brick and mortar restaurants in Omaha. Whether you're taking your family or going for a date night, this place is great. Options for everyone, cocktails and drinks all while playing games like cornhole and connect four. It's also dog friendly! Follow their T&T Instagram to stay up to date with the current schedule. Ideally it would be great if they could be open later but appears most of the time they close at 8pm. I love that there is more of a variety of food trucks this summer! Can't wait to try them all.
