I worked with Missy for my May 2022 wedding in Calistoga. I found her via suggestion from my coordinator, and I seriously cannot recommend her enough. I had a very particular vibe and style in mind that I hadn't seen done before (besides Pinterest) and I was also super nervous about curls falling or my hair just coming out entirely. Missy is not only enthusiastic and personable, she really listened to what I wanted and what I was worried about. We ended up with a half up, half down, curly style which I adored. Over the course of the day, however, my hair started to drop (I have super fine, soft hair), and I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous for my wedding day (which, I totally shouldn't have been!). I let Missy know, and she took some notes on adjustments (again, I was an anxious bride). Day of, Missy arrived on time, was super in sync with my coordinator on schedule for my 6 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and flower girl hair. We sent images to her ahead of time, and she perfectly adapted to whatever tweaks needed to be done. We actually ended up a bit early (!!!) on all hair, and took some time to do touch ups. My hair was flawless, it's one of my favorite parts of my wedding day photos and overall look. It was the perfect combination of updo, down-do, and elegance. Missy made all the adjustments we talked about and absolutely nailed the final style. We added fresh flowers, and let me tell you-- this hair did not budge. I am SO grateful to Missy for making my wedding hair dreams come true! I found Missy through browsing vendors in my area on Instagram, and seeing her portfolio of work I knew her styles and creativity would be a perfect match for what I was looking for. Finally someone who can not only handle my wild, crazy hair... but someone who understands my hair and the reasons my hair does what it does..... Missy is like a breath of fresh air, she is sweet, genuine, and honestly wants to give you a good do. Before her getting my haircut was nerve-wrecking. WOW! Missy is amazing! Let me tell you how I know. I had book a lady to do my wedding hair and make up about 6 months before my wedding. I wanted a full up-do. She said we needed to do a trial about a month before the wedding. I went, it was AWFUL!! I was in shock, I couldn't believe how bad it was. I didn't know what to do, I only had 3 weeks until my wedding and here I was, out my deposit and with no hair person. We started hunting down available hair people, the first lady we found available we did a trial with, it wasn't awful but not quite right. plus she was way over charging us, obviously we were desperate! (Ladies please book your trial hair earlier than a month out! Learn from my stressful tearful experience!!) Then my sister found Missy. I thought there's no way she available, but low and behold my wedding fell on her day off and she was kind enough to work! Wow I was over the moon and she even squeezed me in for a trial the Monday before my wedding. I couldn't believe how much I loved the trial hair, it was amazing finally someone who understood what I wanted my hair to look like on my big day. She is also exactly the kind of person you want to be there all day on your wedding day. She has a wonderful bubbly yet calm personality and helped me stay relaxed. She is so skilled and seems to know exactly what you want and is able to create the perfect bridal up-do.
