I was a bit embarrassed for a professional to see the dreadful state my hair was in, but Krystelle was warm and non-judgmental. I want to first start off by saying how loyal I am to my stylists/colorists. I've only had three in my life but my most recent of 5 years went on maternity leave. With that said I had came across Ashley's page on instagram and was immediately shocked at how beyond beautiful her work was and it had been everything I had ever wanted. The placements of her color and the way it flows is beyond amazing. I had to schedule! I scheduled immediately (4 hours after I found her). Not only did she want pictures before my appointment and a little info about my hair to make sure she knew what she was working with (I find extremely professional, so she didn't go in blinded hoping to give me what I wanted) she was truly a sweet hearted person who was/is so passionate about her work. She educates you while you are getting your hair done and explains everything and asks you your preferences on certain things! She has an eye for this, I just cannot explain her magic she works! I ended up having the NBR natural beaded wefts placed with color and she alone is so quick and so intricate with her work. The color was beyond my expectations and better than I have ever had before ladies! I also would love to add her assistant is so kind and so sweet as well and she works side by side with Ashley to ensure a perfect experience with the process! Wish I could still give Ashley 5 stars and I also wish she hadn't destroyed my hair. I was ready for a move up so I called Ashley to schedule it and she never returned my call. I tried a few more times to reach out and I never heard from her??? I had to find another NBR hair stylist and when I did I was shocked beyond belief. She removed my extensions that were installed by Ashley for the last year and discovered 5 huge bald patches on the back of my head. This was due to a poor installation and pulling. Every time I would go into Ashley for a move up she would never say a work about the damage that was being done. She would keep her mouth shut ant pick a new spot and collect her $600 per visit. I'm certain she was not calling me back because she knew there was nothing left to attach to on the back of my head due to the damage she did. I feel she could have been honest instead of continually damaging my hair. Because of this I had to move from two rows of NBR to one row until my hair grew back enough to have something to attach to. She's a great salesman and people love her...unfortunately in my situation she was just in it for the money until she had done so much damage she couldn't continue....That's when she went silent and wouldn't rerun my calls. I was lucky enough to hear about Ashley from my son's friend. She had been telling me for more than a year how amazing she was. I have had extensions since 2006. I've tried them all and I even thought I had NBR (I was told the last extensions before going to Ashley were NBR, but sadly, they were not). Finally, several months ago, I reached out to Ashley and made an appointment! This was a life changing decision!! I know it sounds crazy to say that about hair, but I was not blessed with good hair genes and I was insecure about my hair for most of my adult life, until I found Ashley! Ashley and her team are amazing! I moved to the Bay Area from San Diego less than a year ago and was very nervous to move on from my San Clemente hairstylist. I love the lived-in, natural blonde look that I had been getting colored in Orange County for the last couple of years. When I finally worked up the courage to try someone new, I could not have been luckier to try Ashley Pollard. I have a ton of hair that always takes 5-6 hours to balayage and tone and Ashley was able to highlight, tone, blow-dry, and style my hair in under 3 hours! Over the last few years of having Ashley do my hair color, I've watched her do hair extensions. I jokingly refer to the process as "Frankenstein hair extensions" because it looks like they're being stitched into your scalp! I have very thin hair and curiosity took hold so I decided to try them myself! I feel beautiful! I always dreamed of having thicker hair and now I do. You'd never know it wasn't my real hair if I didn't tell you. The cost is a little scary, but how beautiful I feel is so worth it! Everything from extensions (which I have) to color this salon is completely amazing! Ashley, Alicia and the team are so knowledgeable and personal and really care that your hair is done to perfection! She made me feel comfortable and like we could talk about anything! She was funny, made sure I didn't experience any discomfort, asked me questions to make sure I wanted what I was getting.
