I wanted to support a local small-town businesss and purchased an expensive ($3700 incl. tax)…read moreleather power recliner chair from One Stop Furniture in Sidney, just before leaving out of country for the Christmas holidays. I was hesitant about the purchase, but felt I could consider and deal with it further after the Christmas holiday when I came back in a couple of weeks. Although I thought it would grow on me, the chair was a bad choice on my part and does not match my style or decor. Though only weeks since the purchase, when I returned home I approached One Stop about a return but they would not sway from their 7-day return (20% restocking) policy, as I was now beyond 7 days. I have offered to accept a refund for even just their "cost" of the chair, or return it on consignment, or even just an in-store credit. The chair is only weeks since purchased and their response is "nothing we can do for you". So try to sell such an expensive item on-line for anywhere near my cost. I am hoping to recoup on-line possibly 1/2 the price I paid, but doesn't seem so. Will be an extreme loss for me. I am disappointed that One Stop would give me no consideration or no possible options beyond their 7-day return "nothing we can do for you" policy. I am very disappointed with One Stop giving no concession at all for return of an expensive "new" item, and will never shop there again. Tony in Sidney.

Our next few visits furnishing the rest of the house was amazing. Their customer service is outstanding along with always keeping you informed of when things where coming in. The delivery guys were just as outstanding to make sure everything was just as we wanted. Our order isn't even complete and I have to give them 5-stars!…read more After our horrendous experience with the Ashley Furniture store in Silverdale (feel free to read that reward -- buyer BEWARE), hubby and I were driving up to a boat gig in Anacortes and took the "scenic" way around Oak Harbor (meaning, not on Hwy 20). We happened to be stopped at the light by NAS Whidbey and I chanced to look over and said "Hey, Furniture World!" We had recently visited the Furniture World in Bremerton but weren't able to find any living room set that slammed our doors, so I was reluctant to go in when my husband suggested it. Now, I'm SO glad we did. We met Shawn, who was super helpful and gave us the layout of the store and then let us look around. When he came to check on us, I shared with him the debacle we had with Ashley and he asked which set we had been looking at. Fortunately I had taken a picture of it at the time and was able to give him the name... ..and as it turned out, he had the set RIGHT THERE in the showroom. Virtually brand-spanking new! He didn't have the chair or the ottoman there, but was able to find out that there were chairs in the distribution center that could be delivered to the Bremerton store (closer to us) by December 5th, and the ottoman would likely be available sometime around Jan 6-11. And the sofa and loveseat...he offered to let us buy the set right there off the floor! His team meticulously plastic wrapped the furniture and had it ready for us when we came through the next day on our way home. We were able to get one piece in our SUV and the "boys" (his helpers) were able to help my husband load the other piece on the roof! Shawn clearly understands customer service, so much that we would likely consider driving to Oak Harbor again (quite a bit out of our way and a ferry ride to boot) if we are in search of furniture. I have to write this review now, even though we haven't received the chair or ottoman yet. I just KNOW that, if there any delays, Shawn will get in touch with us right away and help make good on our order!

But on my birthday August 2023 I treated myself to a reproduction horse statue that I later realised I was way overcharged for, as in, I paid $250 and the item is all over ebay for as low as $30. I won't go back there and gave the item away as I didn't even want to look at it anymore. I had regrets at the time even for paying so much for an item I couldn't afford, but now realising I can't even sell it and get my money back is a real disapointment.

He has a 5/5 on his facebook reviews because he deletes all the negative reviews. Who has 3 total reviews in 5 years??? I wish I noticed this before we hired him. He said everything we needed to hear in order for us to hand over a deposit. As soon as he had our money the excuses started piling up and the delays came one after another. A one day build turned into months and months of delays. The shed is horrific. Nothing is square. He ignored our calls and emails and we finally gave up trying to deal with him. We're in the process of filing a civil claim against him. Stay away from these people. Save yourself the nightmare we are dealing with. You can thank me later.
