Such a cute store! The woman behind the counter was very nice. This two story building is full of little trinkets.

Hidden treasure of a quaint shopping experience with many beautiful finds. I am hopelessly in love with this shop.

After 6 years with the ring it was time for a change, he helped me choose new stones and he even ordered me a few options so I could see them before making a final decision. We decided to go with green gold to redo the setting. Matt is amazingly creative, reasonably priced, and easy to work with. My advice to you: if you want an amazing one of a kind piece of jewelry, stray away from the church street tourist trap and head to Shelburne to see Matt.

I agree wholeheartedly with the website: "Matthew's amazing artistic skills and passionate…read morepersonality allow him to not only create beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry for his clients, but give them an experience they will never forget." Something extraordinary happened on the first day of our anniversary trip to Shelburne, VT. We stopped at Matthew Taylor's jewelry shop, which also was the house where my wife's grandmother lived many years ago. It was open so we were able to go inside. She showed me where they would have Easter dinner, and told me her grandmother loved jewelry, and had given her some. She brought some pieces with her on the trip. She and Matthew talked about the house and town. He was friendly and gracious. I then took my wedding ring out of my pocket; it was in a little box instead of on my hand as it was in pieces due to a failed attempt to resize it by another jeweler. It's a "tricky infinity ring," with a number of garnets. Before we came in, as the sign said, "repairs," I took my ring out of my bag and put it in my pocket, just in case he could fix it. My wife wanted to see it on my hand. A lengthy discussion ensued, during which I assured him that it was worth the risk and I was willing to take it, and he finally agreed to try the first step, to join the ends, after describing various methods. It worked. Amazingly easily, to me. Then the next step, lasering it closed. Then he put a couple stones back in. That left one still be to replaced, which had previously broken in the failed attempt. So he had us look through a tray of stones he had, and we searched for a pink stone to match the pink stones in Denise's bands. He found one and said, "this wants to pop right in." And it did. It seemed effortless, which often is when a master craftsman works. So, in the house of my wide's grandmother, who loved jewelry, and gave her jewelry she wears to this day, this kind and skilled artisan took the time and fixed my wedding band, on the day of our 15th wedding anniversary, and now the ring is whole, and changed, with a connection to her rings, and more meaningful than before. Just like marriage should be. Synchronicity. Peace.

Honestly I rarely use these, so trying to be kind, I told him, "NBD, I use my phone for that" .... But, then it stopped ticking 2 days later. When I returned to the store, I requested he place a new battery in & asked that he show me the package (so I could check the expiration date). He walked out from the back with just the expired battery he removed from my watch to show me. So, I said, "No, I want to see the package of the NEW battery you're putting in, so I know it's NOT EXPIRED." He returned with his supply (i.e., 2 batteries: both expired 2020). I asked him for my $15 back, and he REFUSED because he said I did not have my receipt. Then, to make matters worse! ... on my Google 1-STAR Review of LIPPA's he lied, saying he "could not find my name anywhere in his computer system" ~ trying to make it appear as if I had the wrong Jewelry Store (funny... He never did ask for my name today; he simply stated without my yellow receipt, he would not REFUND ME $15 for dishonestly placing an EXPIRED 2020 WATCH BATTERY in my wrist watch) A THIEF is a THIEF (thieves always lie; they have, or they get caught) and a LIE is a LIE: a Tiger doesn't change their stripes, no matter how big, or small their kill is. LIPPA's does NOT DESERVE Anyone's BUSINESS, or TRUST. ~ I suppose if I walked in with an expensive suit & tie to buy an engagement ring, he would have had the decency to behave himself better & not steal from someone 65 y.o. on a fixed income. Shame on this man & his mother who raised him.

Buying rings can be an overwhelming experience but Mike and the staff were super helpful on site and thoroughly went over questions such as what we wanted; what was important to us; likes/dislikes; etc - and used that info to narrow the focus and show us options that would potentially work. Both the bride and groom are super happy with the results and Lippa's wedding bands will be with us the rest of our lives. We highly recommend Lippa's.

They take the…read moretime to know my taste and sizing and they never try to oversell me anything or try to sell me stuff that's not me. Unfortunately for my wallet, though, almost everything is beautiful! They sell the beautiful POM hats that everyone loves, from pre-teens to older women. Their winter accessories right now are amazing: downjackets, ski coats, scarfs, iphone/smartphone compatible gloves, beaded suede mittens, fur hats!! I think it's highly unfair that the average star rating for this store is dragged down by anti-fur people; they don't shop at the store and they can have their opinion, but don't rate this store a one star just for that. There are stores I shop at that sell Crocs but I don't downgrade stars for that. There are a mix of different price points, and there's always a lot of sales items and new items in stock. It's a very preppy and pretty selection; they have trendy stuff but that's not really what most of the clientele (myself included) look for. A lot of Susanna Monaco, Amanda Uprichard, Yumi Kim, palm beach sandals, vineyard vines...midscale prices. Great cocktail dresses, jeans, cute shoes, and OMG the ACCESSORIES!!!! Personally, I prefer to go to this store more than Ecco. It's a more intimate and inviting store and the girls who work here are way nicer. Ecco has a certain look that they try to convey, and it's just not my style.
