And the that him playing with buttons and knobs without consideration for the effect it was having on my son & I. I got up and we left, making mention to Ben on our way out. I will start by saying this one star review is not a reflection of the Store in Williston Vermont…read moreor the personnel at his location but he customer service with regard to damage to our newly finished floor that was damaged by Bobs sub contractor (Werner Final Mile) when they delivered and assembled the Furniture. On December 17th, our furniture was delivered, the space it was to be set up in had just been refinished. The hardwood Cherry floor was flawless and as a measure to assist with the delivery I put down a waterproof paper to help prevent any damage from foot traffic. The guys brought the pieces in but they needed to assemble the furniture. I was working a couple of rooms away when I heard and felt some very loud banging. When I went to check on them, the couch was in one piece. I inspected the furniture and it looked good. When My wife got home from work, we removed the floor covering and moved the furniture into its final location. That is when we discovered the damage. Attached are the photos of the dents. This took a great deal of force. I immediately contacted Bob's customer service, They opened a claim and I was told that someone would be in touch with me in the next 36 hours, 48 hours passed and I contacted them, Long story short, this cycle continued. Eventually they passed this off to the delivery company to deal with my claim, shockingly they determined that this was not their fault, they stated that there was floor protection down (otherwise known as paper) and that the furniture was not heavy enough to leave those dents. The part about the furniture being assembled by force they conveniently forgot about. Im unclear as to why Bob's passed this off to their sub, but a company like this is not going to take any responsibility for their actions. I've attached a snapshot of this company's online reviews and you can make up your own mind on what kind of business they are. So From Bob's, customer service you are going to speak with very polite people, they will all tell you that they are sorry and this shouldn't of happened, you will hear that someone will be calling you within X number of hour and then nothing, then when you call the cycle starts all over again. You will hear things like sorry this happened, we are escalating this, a manager will contact you and on and on. The one and only "manager" I spoke with I asked who from Bob's overseas the individual claims and she said it doesn't go to one person, I asked well how do you know things are getting resolved - She had no answer. Bottom line, to date I am no closer to getting this resolved that I was back on the 17th.

When they pushed the refrigerator through the doorway of our living room (the best way to bring it in) they took a chunk out of the wall casing. They assured us it would be fixed. To fit the refrigerator into the opening between our cupboards the one anxious delivery guy pushed it so hard you could hear the hardwood floor scratching. I haven't looked under the refrigerator, but there is a noticeable scratch that is in FRONT of the refrigerator. That one makes me angry every time I clean the hardwood floors. The nicer delivery guy said he would make note of it and make sure it got fixed. We never heard from them. We called the Superstore and they said there was no note, but assured us they would take care of it through their delivery service. A few weeks later we called Superstore again. Nothing happened. My husband finally fixed the gouge in the wall board himself. He is not a handyman but since it is low to the floor it is at least white like the rest of the wall board. The scratches in the wood flooring are still pretty annoying. That said, I would probably buy from them again only because the local box stores are worse.

Regardless of your individual situation, if you do not follow this Ashley Furniture "policy" your delivery will be cancelled. It will not matter how clear you are with your sales person, or if the delivery arraignment is written out on the sales paperwork. Andrew will cancel your delivery. This is a horrible policy for elderly people who do not use technology or for individuals in complex situations. Ashley Furniture will not care, it's their "policy" and they will cancel your scheduled delivery. Please know, if you have an important delivery schedule to maintain, take my warning, do not assume the delivery is set. Do not think the text is for your benefit to confirm what you set up with your sales person. Call to confirm regardless of the arraignments you made the day you paid for your furniture and the arranged delivery of the furniture (Especially if it is a bed you are counting on sleeping on).

The back was buckled, drawers moved poorly, veneer on the sides was cracking and buckling off. They did such a beautiful restoration job. The chests gleam, the drawers move smoothly, the wood is a joy to touch, the veneer carefully bolstered. They kept to the original wood as much as possible, adding small pieces where there were gaps in drawer bottoms or where shims were needed. They made the right choice in choosing not to refinish the hidden face of the bottom chest, protecting records inked into the wood by and about the original purchaser. We'll definitely bring other antiques we inherited to the brothers, and highly recommend their work to others.

That did -not- work. 3 times during our 30 minute visit, 2 of the same sales people came over again to do a major sales pitch to us even after we said, no, we do not want help, we'll ask if we have questions. We left there feeling we'd never come back and we have not since that visit in 2023. The place is huge! It is pretty well organized. There is furniture throughout. There is a section for bathtubs---beautiful old clawfoot bathtubs. Oh yes, there is a section of just clawfeet too! There are tons of old doors, windows, reclaimed wood, cabinets, hardware, and so much more. I could spend hours in that place. And don't worry, I will. It was pretty cold in there today and my partner in crime was being a baby so I had to dillydally and linger less than I wanted to. The prices as marked were highish, but they are probably negotiable. I've got my mind on several pieces so I will update when I go back.

I ordered a beautiful Hutch online that cost over $3000. It was my combined birthday/Christmas…read moregift from my husband. The delivery was curbside drop off. This item was not in stock so I knew I would be waiting a few months to get it. I was out of town when the call came that it was ready to be delivered. I instructed my husband to look it over before signing off with the delivery guy. When it came, my husband looked it over. Looked at the one installed shelf that was covered in protective wrap and did not see any scratches. He looked at the other shelves and there was no noticeable damage. This unit is massive and the delivery guy told my husband to look quickly because he had to go. It took 3 men to get it into our house. The delivery guy was not going to wait for all of this and told my husband to sign and he went on his way. This item was not damaged by us or the delivery. When I got back in town and started putting the shelves in I started to notice the top shelf,which is attached to the metal sides of the hutch, looked a little bowed. When I put the other shelves in, it became obviously clear that the top shelf was installed too tightly or not cut down enough. If you put a level on the shelf the middle part of the shelf does not touch the level. It is definitely noticeable when looking at the hutch. When I I contacted Addison West, they said they would contact the manufacturer. After a few back-and-forths she offered me $300 so that I could fix the shelf myself. I explained that it is not fixable because it is attached to the side and doing so would damage the unit. She informed me that when we signed off for it with the delivery man that we accepted it. I told her the hutch wasn't damaged, it was a lemon. That's a manufacturer messed up and they should never have sent it to us in the first place. There was no damage, it was just not built correctly and that the "damage" could not be noticed until you started putting the other shelves into the unit. Now she offered $400. No exchange of the unit and we are stuck with this expensive hutch. That is not as advertised. I think this is poor business practice, and would never use this company again.
