The first thing I noticed upon entering was the display of wigs on shelves sitting behind the desk. I don't normally see that in beauty parlors. Off to the side I saw they had hair extensions and a shelf for hair care products. Another thing I noticed that each hair station was in a private room as opposed to being "out on the floor" for more privacy. My appt was with Kristen and she took me to one of the rooms to discuss wigs. I didn't want human hair because of the cost factor and because they are a lot of maintenance. The only plus side is that they are long lasting. She suggested that a quality synthetic is the way to go. She noted that synthetic wigs are easy care and have an average 6 month span with proper care and usage. Still I could get more than 6 months depending on usage. We discussed wig care and I was told never to put your wig on a mannequin head. Instead they would provide me with a wig stand free with my purchase and style and wash my wig the first time. Their synthetic wigs cost more than what you would find online suppliers but they are well made and designed to resemble not only hair but the scalp as well. She brought in a couple of wigs and the first one I tried on was "love at first sight!" I had always wanted layered hair but with my thinning scalp could not do so. Now I can get the opportunity. The wig had layers and a lot of body that made me feel like a new person! Care is basically simple-use a vent brush with tips and a spray bottle of water. Two squirts and I'm done! It can't get easier than that. She matched my hair color, ordered my wig and told me it would be there in about a week's time. Once received then I would be called for a return visit for try on and adjustments. Wig orders require 50% down and balance due upon receipt. If you have medical reimbursement through your health insurance then they will give you an itemized receipt to submit to them. I also got to meet John the owner, and he went over some additional questions I had regarding scalp care and whether or not a wig cap or even a sleep cap was necessary. Everyone was friendly and very helpful to answer all my questions. John Rutter hair solutions is a full service hair salon that can meet any of your beauty parlor needs. I'm not even sure if she used a 1.5 because my skin wasn't even red when I went home to check. I've had noticed I HAD dark circles under my eyes, which she really worked on this time, they unfortunately looks worse than the past 2 sessions. Basically she intentionally created new lines to my eyes. I've always been respectful towards her. I'm very unsure why she had to do that, it is what it is. Be cautious about getting into personal conversations. I feel gratitude fees nor tips aren't advised for micro needling. For haircuts and other services that's on the individual. BTW: Since I ordered 3 micro needling services for $950 I didn't expect to be charged for a face serum. I was charged 15$ so I smiled and paid for it. Elsandra gave me back my numbing cream and I said thanks she turned her back and walked away briskly. I thought how ODD that reflects in her personality in her when her intentions were to ruin my appearance under my eyes. Good for her. That's why I do not TIP. I asked for a blowout and I received a "blowout" I could have done a better job at myself. I was going to take my graduation photos today, but I left so embarrassed of my new hair, I pushed my planned photos back till next week. On the way home I bought 2 box hair colors and re-dyed my hair myself. I overlooked this, and told her what I wanted: a little of the ends, KEEPING AS MUCH LENGTH AS POSSIBLE, re-layer it, and tidy up my bangs. Well, she cut 2 INCHES off (when only a half inch would've sufficed), my layers aren't even (very choppy, not nice), and I had to go home and cut angles into the front on my own. All the while she was doing this, she was insulting me! She asked, "Are you doing anything fun later?" to which I answered, "Yes, going to a friend's baby's birthday party." She replied, "Ugh! I said fun!" She asked me how I wanted my hair styled after she was done with the cut, and I jokingly said, "I don't know, make me look fabulous!" She said, "I'm not a magician." And her tone suggested she wasn't joking. She made an effort to point out how bad my dye job was as well. Tabitha was generally unfriendly and aloof. Didn't realize how bad my cut was until I got home but by that time they were closed, and the next day was Sunday, so I had to wait to get it fixed. Hopefully someone more competent can repair this mess! NEVER GOING BACK!
