Bad experience and would not go back. Here is why. I had scheduled a time/day to get my hair cut. The stylist took 6 hours (no exaggeration) to do my hair. It got to the point where it was 10:00 p.m. and I just had to leave. I couldn't take it any more. She didn't even finish my hair all the way and she made me very uncomfortable. It wasn't until the next day that I realized just how bad my hair really was. My roots were not even touched and my hair was very uneven. To say that this was the worst haircut/dye that I have ever received, is an understatement. So naturally, I decided to go back to the salon and just ask them to fix it. I didn't make a big deal about it at all and I would have been fine just getting it fixed. Upon entering the salon the following day, I spoke with Jeff and explained my situation and how I requested to have my hair fixed. Jeff then proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for another appointment...I politely explained the situation again and requested that my roots just be touched up and my uneven hair trimmed. Jeff stated he would have to speak to his supervisor (maybe, the owner?), Melissa and I would be contacted. Was I contacted? Nope. In fact multiple times I had to follow up and send multiple pictures to finally get another appointment scheduled. Luckily, when I came in and got my hair fixed, a new stylist fixed my hair and I was pleasantly relieved. It should be reiterated that no one including the supervisor, Melissa, the owner, or anyone ever contacted me to apologize including when I came back in person to get my hair fixed. In addition, I should also point out that whenever a stylist leaves the salon, the company sends out emails, and at times will explain why the stylist left. For one particular stylist, the email stated, "XXXX has left Willow Sage Salon on unfortunate terms. Her conduct has not been in line with our values, and we cannot continue working with her." In my opinion, this is unprofessional and these type of things should be kept in house. There is no need to air dirty laundry out to the public. By doing this, it doesn't reflect positively on the business and raises questions about the company and business practices. To summarize, all of this could have been easily avoided and I wouldn't have posted a review if better customer service would have been implemented. The owner or supervisor-anyone should have contacted me, apologized and resolved the problem immediately by booking another appointment. I shouldn't have had to continue to follow up multiple times etc. I will never go back. Do not recommend. read more

Ya'll I went in for a reverse balayage/color correction and this fantastic young women gave me great conversation, attention to detail, full coloring service, haircut, and styling all under 3 hours I was amazed. I had the worst service I've ever had in my life! Kylie left me after only doing the foils in the back of my head. Said she was gonna black out. She wanted me to move up my appt earlier during the wk bc of her daughter's Halloween party. She told another lady to take over who didn't even know how to put foils in or apply the highlight. I was so tired of my over-grown mane and while I love looooong hair I was actually feeling kind of excited to chop it all off! Hair can grow back so....YOLO After an initial in-person consultation I came back a few days late for my actual appointment and Stephanie was so patient and professional, making sure she knew exactly what I wanted, telling me what she was going to do and the process in which she could execute it and set good expectations. She is so personable and wise beyond her age and we had a lot of really great conversation over the course of 4.5hrs! She's just such a sweetheart and did a great job bringing my hair back to life and giving me a brand new look! I can't leave out that Willow Sage Salon is super unique in that it's core value is sustainability & environmental impact. They use a product line that is from a brand Italy that grows all of their natural ingredients at their own farm and then creates the hair products just a couple of miles away at their production facility. They also carry a secondary specially curated product line that looks to be made in small batches, handmade, and of natural ingredients AND is low-waste! To make a long story short- in December 2022 I got the worst haircut I've ever received from a salon in FL. I have thick hair and layers were made that were so bulky and uneven that the front of my hair looked like it was missing and the back was longer. I hadn't let anyone touch my hair in over 6 months fearing it would happen again. After moving to tx I came to Willow Sage hopeful and in need of a pick me up. I was reassured they would be able to help me and I would leave happy with my hair. Instead I left with hair that is harder to manage and not what I asked for. I finally got the missing front pieces from my previous cut long enough to cut into a bob and make everything uniform. I've had short hair many times so this didn't scare me, what scared me was my hair being mishandled again. Which it was and then my hairs thickness and texture was blamed. My stylist knew what upset me with my first cut and even admitted it was awful and then basically gave me the same thing all over again but now much shorter. The picture I had shown them looked nothing like the cut I received. The layers in the front were cut far too short creating another missing front piece of my hair. If this was a possible outcome of the inspo pic I showed them it should have been made known to me. If my hair thickness and texture would have been an issue to achieve that look that also should have been communicated and it was not. I also feel that my cut was rushed. When I got noticeably disappointed I was told to go home and style it myself and then call if I wanted them to "look" at it again. This wasn't a styling issue, my hair was once again cut poorly. I can't fathom why a salon would expect an unhappy customer to go home and style their own hair after a nearly $200 service. It was a waste of my energy and left me feeling more defeated than when I walked in. My stylist also didn't know how to curl my hair with a straighter so it ended up looking like dented hair on the top of my head. All I heard was excuses before I left and a lack of resolution. I was mortified and I wouldn't want this happening to anyone else. I do also wanted to mention I have received beautiful haircuts with my hair looking like my inspo pictures in the past, it is not my hair that is the issue. Between the salon in Fl and this salon it will be a long time before I let anyone touch my hair. read more
