It's It's their job to keep this neighborhood safe....and they do a GREAT job. For the person/persons who complain about Burr Ridge Police and or Burr Ridge residents my guess is that you feel the laws were not made for you but instead for everyone else. Hopefully, you will never be in danger of needing help from the police, but when you are in danger they (the police) will help you whether you support them or you do not.

So he basically "tailed" me for four miles. Then he decided he was going to pull me over. So I pull over and get all my paper work ready. He takes forever to walk up and then he said" Do you know why I pulled you over?" I replied, "No". Then the officer said "well I got you going forty in a 30". He asked if I had seen him following me for so long. I replied with no inference"no, not really, I don't really pay attention to what"s going on behind me". I could see he was taken a back from my comment. It wasn't the truth at all. I saw him pull out from the same filling station four miles back and watched as he tailed us all the way. Of course I saw you, it would have near impossible to see such a garrish municipal vehicle behind me. Before he takes my driver's license back to his squad car he asks "why do you have car plates on a truck?" I told him that's the way i got them from the Secretary of A State and he would have to take it up with them. Then he goes back to his car and in two minutes there are two more squad cars pull up! Like it's some high crime. Five minutes later he comes back with a warning ticket. Which is just fine by me. In the end he turns out to be a fairly decent cop. It got me thinking though. I mean three squad cars responding to one traffic stop amongst the palacial estates of Burr Ridge. What other heinous crimes were probably perputrated during this time span? Surely some unruly teenagers riding skateboards in a strip mall parking lot, a defective home alarm, some one burning leaves, some under age drinking in a private residence, etc. All the ehinous acts probably went unpunished because of the priority of the black pick up truck. FVCK YOU Burr Ridge, and anyone that looks like you. I hate your bullshit town anyway. Crap ass suburb, you people ain't worth the gun powder to blow you to hell. A town full of semi-rich a$$holes that make more in one year than I do in three years, and you want my money for a ticket. Piss off. Just for that the next suburbanite I meet who's looking for directions is getting bricked!

Nowadays, it is a state-of-the-art facility which caters to all age groups and I am getting to learn about what it has to offer (too much to note honestly). First of all, I will note that the staff are excellent - very pleasant, diverse and helpful, not only to someone like myself (with not obvious "disabilities") but to others as well. It is very quiet areas. I have been utilizing the private rooms for peace and quiet to accomplish computer activities and it is definitely much quieter than it was back in 2012 when I would frequent the library while in school for a degree. There is a wide variety of materials to be checked out: I learned about the "Library of Things", which are literally "things" that can be checked out and taken home with you (one of the many perks of being in the IPL district). If you don't know how to utilize the many services, feel free to ask Guest Services and a friendly person there can assist you. My best recommendation is to check out the link to their website: https://ippl.info for more information. No one library is perfect but I believe they would be open to suggestions. :)

But what causes to make this location close over 1/2 an hour EARLY yesterday, July 23rd 2026 makes it difficult. As me and another patron looked puzzled to have the doors locked, I needed to get my package scanned as I sell online and has a deadline. Luckily, I traveled to the Westmont Post Office, hoping they have accurate hours as they are open later. It was. (wheh!) As a result of asking a few others, I understand this is not something strange, but that shortages of a staff has been the result. So this is more common than not. Luckily for me, haven't been to this DG location in many years. My local post office is great (the best out of dozens in the area (Northlake) as are the other dozens of locations in the past few years. And since the USPS makes it difficult to find the phone number to verify that they are actually open with the hours they post online (and at their location), I will avoid going to this location in the future. .

Who did you hand it to, because I never received it?? I called Nordstrom Rack to inform them, and they kindly refunded me. I then reordered the same item. It was again supposedly delivered by USPS yesterday. Again, tracking states that it was handed to an individual. Once again...no package. Now, I have to ask, why would the post office hand a package, twice in one week, to a random individual at a condo building???? I called Nordstrom Rack once again to let them know that they could not trust this post office to deliver their packages. They agreed and promptly reordered AGAIN for me. This time, they will deliver to the store itself, where I will have to go pick up the item. I am currently in a foot cast, which was why I ordered online to begin with. Too bad that the USPS doesn't have the customer service that Nordstrom does. We might all actually receive our mail. And yes, I did call this post office. The phone rang about 50 times, then went to a busy tone, then hung up on me. Government at its finest.

Although they were there for our initial inspection, they missed a lot. Case in point, 2 years later they tried to cite us for a hot tub that apparently was never registered with them! We bought the house like that! Costs/fees: outrageous for permits, expensive for vehicle stickers. Park District: very small selection of classes and activities. However, their staff is exceptional and very caring. I also love their preschool program, much better than other park districts. My son is learning so much! Police: no experience with them other than when my son accidentally dialed 911 when he was a year and a half, ha ha! They promptly visited the home to ensure all was well. Main office: conflicted about this, as they are closed for events without any heads up, to the public, but staff is very helpful. I still enjoy their involvement in the community, and they are definitely very involved in celebrating holidays!

The fingerprint service costs $50, but you must register beforehand and bring a barcode and confirmation number to be serviced. I also learned they offer passport and other identity services, which is convenient. Just keep in mind they close at 3p on Saturdays, which is earlier than many other locations.
