While at a well visit, I confirmed a prescription. Prescription was never sent in. I called the office the next day and was told they would talk to the doctor. Still nothing. Sent a message in the portal the next day after, and still no response. This was amongst a few other things that we had issues with in the past year, such as misdiagnosing bronchitis which urgent care did correctly. In this same time period, political emails were being sent out by the office which I'm attaching. I feel that the focus of the practice should be on quality health care. and unfortunately I don't think the quality is there anymore.

I never had to wait more than 10 minutes to see him. Yes, the girl he has there now might not be the most outgoing person, but she is ok and I never had a problem with her. Dr. Pepe never overcharged me for anything and I never had to pay anything outside the copay. He is always thorough with the examination and does strep test right there. He also was the first doctor to diagnose my older son with allergies to cats when nobody else had and my son was sick for a few years. I recommend Dr. Pepe.

Dr Pepe is a great pediatrician. We have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to see him. If my son is sick they always see him the same day. I can't tell you how many times I've called on a Saturday morning because my son was sick and Dr Pepe said to bring him in. On a few occasions when my son was very sick Dr Pepe called us on the weekend to check in and see how he was doing. Not many drs would do that. He is very thorough. Even if we go in for something minor he always takes his time and does a complete review and explains everything. The receptionist is very nice and always pleasant. The story about extra charges for asking questions is just crazy. I always ask questions during all visits - including well visits - and there is no extra charge for it. If you live in the Little Falls area and need a caring pediatrician who doesn't make you wait for an hour in the waiting room with a sick baby call Dr Pepe.

That ability to not second-guess themself and make sure everything was okay will cause us to be forever grateful. And - their hours! This is the location Notchview offers that is open on weekends and holidays for emergencies. As a parent, you can't ask for anything more than that. If you need something, like records for a school nurse, or a referral, don't expect to "wait a moment" to receive it. What you should expect is to wait a few days, and when they're ready, at their leisure if they remember, they will call you so that you can make another trip to the office to pick it up. Actually, you'll probably have to call them to follow up but they won't pick up the phone or return your call. So you should expect to have to make a trip to the office without notice. The paperwork won't be accurate though so scrutinize the details. Make sure that every time your child gets a shot or a procedure, that you ask them for a summary of the visit. Then check the summary!. I've seen inexcusable mistakes on a summary. If they don't update their records on time or correctly, your child may be getting repeat booster shots unnecessarily. You/your insurance may be getting billed for procedures that your child never received! Patient Care/Bedside Manner - The front desk at times are perfunctorily nice. They'll smile and say hello and treat you like you're an actual human being. More often though, you'll find the staff on the phone or shuffling paperwork, too busy to acknowledge your presence. Some are just plain cold. A small child going in to get shots, or any doctor visit in general, is expected to be anxious and scared. Pediatric offices are exactly the place where friendliness goes a long way. Instead, most of the staff are gruff and impatient. They have no time to develop a patient-doctor relationship. If you have concerns about your child, don't expect to receive due attention. They will give you a blunt answer to get you out of the office, because getting more business is clearly more important to them than helping their patients. To be fair, this office is comprised of several doctors who work on a circuit. Some can be nice. And one of the nurses is nice. But overwhelmingly more so than not, you'll be met with callousness or rudeness. Wait Time - Consistently about one hour +. Overall Impression - Simply put: they don't care about you or your children. Find a better doctor if you can.

My childhood best friend had a beautiful baby boy, and I attended a Brit Mila ceremony conducted by…read moreDr. Dania Rumbak. In conversations before the bris, I knew that my friend was nervous about the process, the ceremony, and the actual circumcision. I can say with confidence that Dr. Rumbak put the family's mind at ease both with her expertise and her gentle approach. As a "spectator" at the ceremony, Dr. Rumbak passed around sheets so we can all follow along and feel part of the ceremony, and explained what different blessings meant. She also added some Jewish text in a modern and relevant way, which I appreciated, and my family continued to discuss post ceremony. The sweet baby did super well and was calm throughout the entire process. Truthfully, I didn't even know when the actual circumcision actually happened because she was so gentle and discrete. At the end of the ceremony, many people went up to Dr. Rumbak to compliment her on one of the best brit mila's they ever went to, and many asked for her card (including my mom for our temple!). She has a great business partner in Shachar, who socialized with the guests of the ceremony, kept everything organized, and was just an all around stand up guy. Oh, and how great that she is a mohel AND a doctor. Talk about putting your mind at ease..that will definitely do it. Highly recommend.

Would have loved so much to give a glowing review of Dr. Rumbak but unfortunately we look back on…read morethe day of my son's bris and what transpired after with a lot of sadness. Dr. Rumbak deserves credit and thanks for her discretion in not circumcising our son the day of his bris due to a urological condition she noticed in her ore-ceremony examination. We are thankful for that. She performed what essentially worked out to a baby naming ceremony for us. Obviously the day was emotional to begin with and the news she couldn't circumcise was extremely disappointing and heartbreaking since this was a day we looked forward to for so long. In the days after the bris we were able to absorb the events better and realized exactly what happened. To begin with, my wife asked for a program to keep as they were being collected (yes, collected), and the response was, "I collect them." She said the same to my mom (baby's grandma). We consider this ridiculous - even if the baby's grandparents couldn't have one, at least the parents should. When I emailed Dr. Rumbak about the issue I'm about to describe, I also mentioned the program and that part of my email was left unaddressed. Here's the major problem, though. We paid $800 for a circumcision plus $150 for travel from Manhattan to Nassau. We were happy to do this because we really liked Dr. Rumbak on the phone. However, after the bris, we had a bit of a realization that really irked us. Why were we never offered any kind of refund for the circumcision not being performed? It really should have been offered that day, on the spot, but it wasn't. Days and weeks turned to months and we still were never offered anything. We didn't even get an email or phone call to check on our son given the medical issue Dr. Rumbak identified. This was surprising given the emotional nature of the day but also because part of Dr. Rumbak's service (advertised on her web site and vouched for in her reviews) is her frequent follow up with the family. Finally after a few months, I emailed her explaining we feel we are owed some kind of refund due to the most critical part of the ceremony, the circumcision, not being performed. It is that expertise for which we paid. Dr. Rumbak issued a $200 refund, saying that the rate for a baby naming is $600. It's unfortunate such a beautiful day was soured by the experience we had. As new parents we feel we were, in a way, taken advantage of. Dr. Rumbak did ultimately give some money back, but we feel we shouldn't have had to ask. Experiences like this are what make people cynical about organized religion. The right thing to do would have been to give us a refund without us having to ask. We would not recommend her.
