They have changed owners, if you have crushed cans/bottles go anywhere but here, they charge you 25% to sort your order. Waste of time!

I could not believe it or I should have known... My husband…read moreand the grand-kids went down there today to take in all the water bottle that we had been collecting (lack of a better word:)) for some time. Anyways they got down there and the guy told them that the plastic bags they had to fill there take 100 bottles.Once filled they would pay you. They decided to count them and sure enough after 100 bottles the bags were not even half full. If they listened to the guy there they would have got less then half of their money. Nice... Something similar happened to me the last time I was there. They would have lost 25.00 if they didn't check. That's not nice to be doing this to people. Return-it should be looking after who is running these places. I forgot to mention that the place was filthy and stunk to high heaven. Not a very nice experience to say the least!

How it's supposed to work, is that there's a kiosk drop off point setup, which there is, you type in your phone number, a label gets printed off, and you drop it off into the bin next to the label printer machine. After the first week of this new system, the door to the bin was shot tighter than the gates to Mordor, and increasingly abstract and hard to follow set of instructions and written on a note taped to said closed and locked door we're posted. None of the times I've gone in there to return something, has the instructions or procedure been the same. Today they expected me to go around to the truck delivery entrance out around the back of the building, with all my returns, end dump it at the back entrance. When I just placed it on the counter, and started walking away, the staff began shouting at me across the room, berating me for not understanding exactly what they meant with their chicken scratch. The minute someone starts shouting at me and lecturing me in a place where I am the customer, is the minute I stop listening to their directions. Expect to be shouted and yelled at if you make the slightest mistake. I have complained to head office. Whatever stress or bad s*** is going on in the staffs day, that does not give them the right to yell at or lecture their customers.

Living in rural Aldergrove we do not have access to weekly Township garbage pick up so we the only option is utilizing a private provider. In our case we chose Maple Leaf. To start the weekly amount was good and the service was dependable with no issues. But then slowly but surely they started adding significant costs due to fuel surcharges. I understood that and accepted it but knew instinctively the amounts of the surcharges being charged were way higher than reality. I had bigger issues to focus my time on. Now the "Hyde" part. We sold our house and reached out to cancel our service. First filled out the online form - no response at all after two weeks. I then phoned their office and talked to a representative and was informed that our rep would get in contact with me in the next couple of days. This never occurred. I then received an email from their credit manager. It stated the upon reviewing the customer service agreement that we still had 41 months left on our legally binding contract - $2,302.54. It would be an understatement from my end to say I took this calmly. Fortunately I had kept my original signed contract and was able to successfully challenge the charge and had it removed. The final part though was in order to cancel the contract I needed to send a correspondence of the request via registered mail. Like why? It is really too bad that they resort to these types of tactics. My advice - always read the fine print when dealing with a contract and make sure you keep a copy.
