Willy D's is a casual, welcoming environment that offers your typical bar food and select drinks. I'm in town for a visit and heard this is a popular place to go in downtown Little Rock. It was a welcoming environment from the performers as well as the customers, and the pianists are definitely talented! They take song requests through tips, but after I sent them a couple requests they only played one of them. So it seems like they only play songs that they know so it was disappointing that they don't play a bigger variety of music requests. The prices of their food were super cheap. I ordered the kamikaze and onion rings and surprisingly they gave me a FULL plate for only $4. On the down side, half of them were still greasy so I only ate about a third. The inside seemed fairly clean and saw the staff cleaning before opening, but the downside is the table that I sat at was still dirty and sticky. I looked around at other tables and they were the same way. It seemed like they didn't clean them from the night before. I came here 30-45 minutes after opening and the place was still rather empty, so there's no reason the tables should still be dirty. read more

We came here for the second spot of the night. This place has a piano bar upstairs and more of a lounge/dance floor downstairs. The contrast is quite different but at least you have two options to choose from. We stayed downstairs bc the piano bar was winding down. They have quite a selection of alcohol to choose from but no grape. I settled for a peach vodka and sprite. It was ok but didn't wow me. Also, I was a bit disappointed to be charged $10.00 for a drink in a glass that small. There seemed to be a lot going on between random bouts of karaoke intermingled with songs where people can dance. The vibe was ok but it wasn't really my scene. Everyone seemed to be cool for the most part but I only came because I was with my cousin. All in all, they're def not lacking when it comes to entertainment (dance floor, karaoke, beer pong, etc) but it would be nice if they invested in some air fresheners. Piano Bars are fun, they are even more fun when you have three talented artist that sub in and out, can play multiple instruments. Piano (of course!), drums, and guitar. They start at 9 and fill up. They played everything asked and nothing was too difficult. Lots of fun. The bartender keeps everyone serves and really knows how to keep things going. read more

This place was A-OK. There are three different sections to this bar: 1. one behind where you can play pool and beer pong 2. one downstairs where the club is at called Deep 3. and one where the piano guys play The section I liked the most was the main one where two people play piano. You can even request songs and they can play it (of course, give 'em a little tip). Really, Willie D's will have the scene you want...they have 3 different sections with different crowds of ppl! Also, service was okay. They tend to be rude to ppl. Overall, this place was OK. $10 cover charge. Good location. But it didn't impress me much. read more

Not a fan. I guess I've just been to good dueling piano bars in the past. They weren't fun, inviting, or in gauging at Willy D's. I'll start off by saying that my wife and I I've actually had fun at this place before, and we have always had it on our list of stops when we are having a night out in the town. And I think the owners have something here but recently they have some bartenders and security that he really needs to have a sit down with, after having one beer here and dancing for a few minutes I revived and emergency phone call and instead of ditching my bill I asked the bartender to cash me out and he told me I can wait. after waiting 2 minutes and him taking new order after new order I asked him to cash me out again and give me my credit card he then mocked me in front of other patrons saying to them " ima make his ass wait all night" after that I demanded he cash me out which again didn't happen so he calls security over and as I'm trying to tell the security that I need my card so I can leave a different bartenders hands me my tab and as I'm signing it this guy goes behind me and literally physically picked me up and started to carry me to the stairs ! He didn't make it to far as I weight a good 285 lbs anyway as I'm leaving the bartender is trying to hit on my wife and as she rejects him and ask for my card he kicks her out too So I ask to ask to the manager and they point me to this little 5'11" guy that just had a smirk on his face the entire time he was I guess "head of security" after getting nowhere with the staff I then proceeded to file a police report for assault which I fully intend to see through ! And that was my last time ever attending this place ! Your in business because of your patrons !!!! read more

My friend and I were visiting Little Rock for the night and decided to stop by this place because it looked like it was packed. Right as we get in, the bouncer ushers me outside and tells me "we dont accept fakes here". After trying to tell him it's not a fake, the manager gets involved and practically screams at me in the middle of the street that my ID isnt real. A police car rolls by at this time and she chases him down to have him check my ID while saying "even if this is real I'm not letting you into the bar." She hands my ID to the police officer and runs off back to the bar. GUESS WHAT? MY ID IS REAL. I have never had such a horrible experience and I will never be coming back to Little Rock ever again. I would suggest going to any bar in the river market except Willy D's. They have the rudest staff/bouncers of any bar I have ever been to. I understand wanting to clear the bar at closing, but turning the lights on at 1:15 and then 10 minutes later yelling profanities at customer telling them to get the F out... Is bad for business. Bouncers are very rude here, they wouldn't let my friend in and said that her ID was fake. Refused to listen when she tried to explain she had just lost some weight. The bartenders are unbelievably rude. I think this is my second review after a friend has a terrible experience. I should have never gonna back. They assume that everyone is wasted and just kick them out. My husband had two drinks and they decided to cut him off and then kick him out. Not only do they kick you out but feel the need to uncomfortably touch you. From the second you walk in the door, to the second you are uncomfortably kicked out it's like they don't want you there. I've always loved this place...it's a pretty good call if you have a large crowd of people to please. If you like cover music and don't really want to dance, the piano bar is awesome for drunkenly belting out tunes from the comfort of your seat. If you do dance, there's Deep, the downstairs club...DJ's are mediocre and the crowd tends to be younger than the piano bar (though the piano bar pretty much has a diverse group)... Then there Prost, the back part. I've only been there once, but it was more of a quiet bar spot where you could play pool and watch sports at the bar. The piano bar is my fave part for entertainment. There's always a 21st birthday party or a bachelorette party happening where someone gets called on stage to be serenaded extremely inappropriate versions of old songs. And then there's always one 50+ year old woman who is out from her husband for girls night and had just enough liquid ego in her to bounce up on stage and grab her 15 minutes. And the piano players always seem to handle it well. But seriously, the entertainment by the players is always pretty good. Drinks have always been decent and fairly priced. Cover is $10, which I think is fair considering your options. Definitely will keep coming back. read more

Sad that Willy D's has such harsh reviews on here! We always have a great time there! The top floor is the dueling piano bar and they always play great music, but it gets REALLY crowded on the weekends so get there early if you want a table! The downstairs area- "Deep" is where they have a dj and they play hip hop and dance music. We went last night with a group of friends and were surprised to see they recently redecorated, there are all these little seating nooks in the wall giving it a really cool loungey feel while there's still plenty of dance floor space. I always prefer Willy D's to Ernie Big's for SEVERAL reasons- 1) The upstairs "club" part of Ernie Big's is REALLY smokey (there's no smoking in "Deep" and I prefer to not be choking on smoke while I'm dancing!) 2) The DJ in Ernie Big's plays old music, nothing new at all and refuses to take requests per his manager 3) No one is ever in the piano bar part of Ernie Bigs. I always take out of town guests to Willy D's and its always a great time! Definitely our spot downtown. read more

I went here yesterday to check out Prost, since it opened recently. I didn't know it was connected to Willy D's until I got there... 1) Prost - I like the paintings on the ceiling and the couches. It wasn't crowded, which is also a plus. 2) Deep - It smelled like a gas station bathroom yesterday. I liked this place 1.5 or 2 years ago, but it has gotten progressively more crowded and the crowd has gotten worse. Deep used to have lounge feel to it (kinda), now it feels like a desperate meat market to me. I like Willy D's. On the weekends there is always a good crowd and when the weather is nice there is a good crowd most weeknights as well (except for Monday cause they are closed). The people that work here are nice and the the drink prices are reasonable. I would recommend it to out of town folks looking to hang out with friends and a cold beer. The downstairs of Willy D's is neat! It has a DJ and is quite a bit different than the upstairs piano bar! I like to hop between the two. It's like being at two totally different clubs! read more

The drinks are AWESOME, even the "cheap" options are great. 4 stars because it's too loud and too divey for my preference - although it's kind of the only bar in town not attached to a restaurant, so it's not like you get a choice when it comes to the cons: the majority of the customers were smoking (I don't smoke), the bartender was a little too inappropriate, and everything just felt dirty. However, if you really just can't stand the place, it has a quieter corner attached, with an entrance on Rock Street, that has pool and beer pong, a dance floor, and a quiet well-lit bar that's much chiller and much cleaner. read more

We love this place. So much fun! We didn't prowl around too much, so this review is about the dueling pianos. Lena, Sheldon and Dave put on a great show, very entertaining, friendly and funny. Dave even did a rendition of Sexy Back at our request. Tried to stump them all but couldn't! They encourage the crowd to participate so it's lively. Drink prices are reasonable, staff is friendly. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived but the pace definitely picked up. This is a great place for groups and a fun place to take your out of town visitors. I'm a born Little Rocker and was back in town for a visit. Will definitely be back when I'm home to visit family. read more

What Willy D's and the Deep crew has done for me will be eternal in my memories of friendly places. Informally known as Big Kuntry, I wasn't accustom to the vibrant structure of a big city venue. I literally can't get enough. I have shed blood, sweat, and tears in this holy temple of debauchery and will continue to do so until I am the 43 year old in a suit offering to buy your girlfriend a drink. I could not rate this higher than Ernie Biggs because I am just not feeling the "pestering of tips" that seems to be a part of the show. If I had a piano bar, I would give the players part of the bar and just let them play and work the crowd. The drinks here are better and come much quicker. So that was a plus.. I sincerely enjoyed coming here. We got there right before the rush, snagged a table and thank goodness we did! If we would have popped in any later we wouldn't have had a seat the rest of the night. The place was packed and rightfully so. The piano players were so personable and very active with the audience. As an out of towner, this establishment will be my "must go" any time I need to recommend a good time out in Little Rock. Kudos to piano player Payton as well for being such a great entertainer! Dress attire was all over the place, you had people in jeans and flannels all the way to little black dresses. So come as you are and enjoy a great drink. I've been here 2 or 3 times now. It's a fun place. I was thinking piano bar , some old dude playing light background classical type music on the piano. But when I got there I saw this long haired young dude rocking out to some rap on the piano then switched to some Elton John I was like huh? I then found myself wondering how much I had drank already lol. Turns out the audience requests most of the songs.
