He asked for a $2,000 deposit, which I paid on August 12th. He said he would start the work within the next week or two, but after that, I was met with excuse after excuse whenever I checked in. Every time I followed up, I got the brush-off. Finally, after months of waiting and no progress, I requested a refund on November 15th. It's now January 6th, and I still haven't received my money back. I've been given numerous reasons for the delay - the check is "in the mail," then "I'll drop it off this weekend," but nothing ever materializes. At this point, I have no choice but to consider legal action to recover my money. This has been a completely unprofessional and frustrating experience. I would strongly advise staying away from this company - it's been a scam from start to finish. On Jan 8th, I finally received a check for my deposit amount.

I was told his minimum is $800 but he would do this for 500 with two guys. I ended up trying to do it myself and was able to move it much more easily than anticipated in only an hour and a half. Another company quoted me $225 for this job which is much more reasonable though still higher than I think it's worth. Just beware of price gouging with this company.

Within a year a crack formed running the depth of the top step to the house, down through the next step and is extending down through the next step. When I contacted the company to complain, I was told that their warranty only applies to cracks of at least 1/4 inch wide. Unfortunately, mine does not meet that criteria. The owner recommended that I keep an eye on it and call back when widens to that point. He also told me that he will replace it now if I would agree to pay half the cost. The work was very expensive and the thought that I should pay to replace his shoddy work is laughable. Also, when I requested a signed copy of the guarantee, he was unable to produce it. So now I'm stuck with steps that have unsightly cracks and there's nothing I can do about it. Shoddy work, poor customer service, incomplete documentation: Don't use them!

Mangold horticulture is responsible for destroying my hosta garden. I started this garden in 2009…read moreand had purchased several expensive Hosta's and perennials to be placed in my garden. Last summer my hosta garden is just about completely gone. I reached out to Mangold to let them know that I had seen two employees spraying in my garden and another pulling up my perennials. They have taken no responsibility and refused to return my phone calls or emails. I also had a hosta garden in my backyard from 2009 and when they put rock down in my neighbors backyard they took all of my 14 year old hostas. They did not replace these, nor give me an explanation as to why they just took them. I am devastated at what my beautiful garden looks like now. Not to mention the amount of money I spent on these gardens on a limited income. It just depresses me every time I look out at my garden in which I spent years creating and money to see this devastation.
