This summer me and one of my cousins and our husbands came back to relive our memories, and the place was just how I remembered. Very friendly staff and service. There is a phone number on their website to call which gives up to date directions in terms of what is available and when and where which is super convenient. At the farm they have quart and pint containers, bags and trays for you to use as you go out and pick. Their fields are nice and easy to find. The fruit is fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. The trouble is the timing, anyone who has picked before knows there is a small window. Strawberries usually come near the end of June and then cherries, blueberries and raspberries quickly follow. Blink and you might miss it, as soon as the end of the school year approaches, use the phone number so that you don't! Coulters seems to have fair pricing for their fruit. Berries all are purchased by pint or quart, whereas cherries are purchased by pound. While they are delicious and worth every penny, be aware the cherries will add up quickly, they weigh more than you think! If you're looking for a fun day, rewarding when you bring home the spoils, check out Coulter farms. Remember to catch them at the end of June, and bring some sunscreen and water, it gets hot out there!

I bought $160.00 dollars worth of plants on 5/31, 1 out of the 6 Zinnia's I purchased immediately died within 2 days due to a broken stem that wasn't noticeable at purchase. Called them on 6/2, dealt with Amanda who was honestly the sweetest, kindest person I've ever dealt with besides the gentleman that owns the place and she saw the plant and even agreed with me that it was dead and let me exchange it. I planted the second one the same way as the 5 that are thriving and here we are 10 days later and my plant id app is saying it's sick meaning diseased. So thinking I would just exchange it again so they could see it.... Well this time when I called I got an older lady who literally refused to give me her name and stated "I do not need to give you my name" after I asked for her name at the end of the call because one she never introduced herself like I did and the tone of her voice and the way she talked to me was completely unacceptable and very unprofessional. This older woman told me "we don't do refunds so we're not going to give you another free plant, you are lucky you even got one free plant, for all we know it could have snapped at the base from the wind or you planted it wrong and all of our Zinnias are all healthy and doing great so obviously you did something wrong and killed the plant..." but even though there planted in window boxes and the rest are all thriving. I have spent thousands of dollars at this place and unfortunately with them I will never step foot again in that place. If the older gentleman saw me in person along with my significant other, he'd know exactly who we were. Also, if there are supposed signs in your place of business saying no refunds even though I'm not asking for a refund then maybe you should inform your employees regarding it. That older woman who answered my call should never be allowed to answer any calls nor work in a place of business that encounters customers. Absolutely unacceptable

Wanted to bring my 1.5 Year old somewhere a bit more lowkey than the big wigs in town and also wanted to knock out pumpkins and apple picking at the same time- enter Blackman Homestead Farm. It ticked those boxes and also delicious slushies (apple cider and grape) just a missed opportunity for delicious pastries (hmm cinnamon donuts!) We thank goodness read Darlene's review about making a reservation and did that the day of around noon and was able to get in at 330! The reservation is made online and the farm is FREE to enter (amazing) but can't be changed or cancelled, however you only need it per carload, so unless you're bringing another car, you can tack on extra folks. We purchased some apples we picked (it was pretty low in the season to pick off the trees) and some that were all set for you in bins, a pumpkin, some cider, a tiny pumpkin and were surprised by the price. Gently it was not as expensive as I thought. Parking was quick and easy on a later Saturday afternoon, with a quick Hi to the Turkeys, some exploring around the pumpkins and picking some apples we had a good time after about an hour and half. I did noticed that it was well organized and lots of folks did disregard the signs: don't feed the Turkeys (grass) and pick up the apples you drop off the tree. There were alot of half eaten, throw apples on the ground which made me kind of sad. Please respect someone's rules and property, it's so nice to be able to come see the farm for free, I hope that doesn't change.

More vendors that compliment the farmers (like bakers), consistency (apparently you never know who will be there), and engaging and drawing from the neighborhood directly surrounding the City Market (ok - to be fair this is a bigger undertaking then they could do alone). She gave us a disposable spoon and added a few drops of different syrups for us to try (one at the time). She started with the GOLDEN (delicate taste) that she suggested to use it in your coffee, then we tried the AMBER (rich flavor) which is the flavor we know as pancake syrup, then we tried the DARK (robust taste) and the VERY DARK (strong taste). We ended up getting one Dark and one Very Dark. They have different bottles, some nice glasses that look like whiskey glasses and some in plastic. We got two 'Folia' bottles 250ml for $16 each. The same size (250ml) in a plastic bottle was $11.50 each.

We ended up doing the regular hay ride and our tour guide Jeff went above and beyond he showed us all around the farm stopped at each attraction telling us the history of the farm! But the owners operate their own independent farm stand here on Saturday morning, typically. They have a whole host of locally grown fruits and vegetables, as well as delicious baked goods that they make right there on site. Sometimes, they have ridiculously amazing deals, like this morning, when I was able to buy fresh homegrown watermelon and cantaloupe for $1 each. Nothing wrong with them, beautiful produce, for a dollar each. That's crazy! Lovely farm atmosphere, chickens clucking all over the place, a friendly farm cat, and the owner and his wife are just wonderful friendly people to chat with. And all you need to do is be respectful - don't pick the flowers! (Sadly, despite the signs there were a few fallen sunflowers on the ground.) This gorgeous plot of sunflowers is at the corner of Baer and Saunders Settlement Rd, and is pretty hard to miss. If the sunflowers don't give it away, you should catch people parking along the side of Baer to snap some quick photos with their children and friends. (At least, that's what I encountered. Surprisingly busy on a Tuesday morning!) I love this. I'm always snapping pictures of gorgeous flowers that I stumble across, and the fact that the Danielewicz's are inviting people to come and enjoy their beautiful field just makes me want to visit again, and thank them for allowing everyone else to come and enjoy it! I also want to find out where they get their sunflower seeds. If you've never seen a field of sunflowers before, it's definitely a sight worth admiring. Day 19
