UPDATE: Response to owner: I want to clarify my experience after the office response. I scheduled this consultation in advance and specifically asked staff when I should arrange my Uber home. I was given a timeframe and relied on that guidance. After arriving on time and completing intake and photos, I was then told there would be an additional 30-45 minute delay before seeing the doctor--contradicting what I had been told earlier. I was also informed my Uber would continue charging while waiting, which created a stressful and impractical situation. While the office states I left voluntarily and that consults take about an hour, my decision was based on the inconsistent and changing timing communicated by staff during the visit. The core issue here is not the length of a consultation, but the lack of clear, coordinated communication. I did receive a refund of my deposit, but patients should be given accurate expectations upfront, especially when arranging transportation. I scheduled a consultation with this office before I even moved to Alabama and paid the required $100 deposit. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and ended up being a complete waste of my time. The front desk staff were pleasant, and the initial part of the appointment went smoothly. I had photos taken and met with another staff member who was very kind and professional. However, after that, things quickly went downhill. Before arriving, I specifically asked when I should schedule my Uber home and was given a timeframe by the office. I planned accordingly. Several staff members responded with comments such as, "I don't know who told you that," and made it clear that the wait time I had been given was incorrect. What was most frustrating is that I never even got to see the physician despite arriving on time, completing all of the preliminary steps, and paying a deposit for the consultation. The lack of organization, poor communication, and unprofessional handling of the situation left a very negative impression. I understand that delays can happen in a medical office, but clear communication and accountability matter. I have serious concerns about my experience with this plastic surgery facility and the transparency of its procedures and practices. 1. I was asked to sign the contract and complete payment before a full discussion of my family medical history and before disclosure of the relevant terms and conditions took place. Once payment is made and the contract is signed, I was informed that no refund would be issued, even in the presence of medical concerns. 2. When concerns regarding family medical history were later raised during my second meeting with Dr. Wilson (approximately two weeks prior to the scheduled surgery, and only my second consultation after the initial visit), I felt there was continued pressure to proceed with the surgery as planned. At one point, the clinic requested my father's medical history for verification, which I found unusual and concerning. 3. I was informed that I would forfeit 50% of the procedure fee (several thousand dollars), which I had already paid in advance, because I canceled the surgery approximately two weeks before the scheduled date--even though these medical concerns were actively being discussed with the physician at that time. 4. After raising these concerns, I was no longer able to communicate directly with Dr. Wilson through the office. 5. My interactions with the business manager were also extremely difficult and unprofessional, and I was unable to resolve my concerns in a constructive manner. I felt I was not given an opportunity to fully express or discuss my concerns. 6. Overall, I felt that the financial commitment and cancellation terms created significant pressure to proceed with surgery even when legitimate medical concerns were present, which left me deeply uncomfortable with the process. In conclusion, I believe that key terms and conditions, as well as potential risks associated with the procedure, were not adequately disclosed prior to payment. The financial penalties associated with cancellation created substantial pressure to proceed despite medical concerns. Based on my experience, I would advise others to exercise extreme caution and ensure full clarity of all medical, financial, and cancellation policies before engaging with this facility. read more

Dr. Wilson and his staff made me feel comfortable from my first phone call until my last follow-up appointment after surgery. Dr. Wilson explains everything in detail and is very meticulous when it comes to his surgeries. I had excess skin due to gastric sleeve surgery so along with skin removal, I also had a lower body lift with liposuction. Dr.Wilson truly gave me a body that I could be confident about and love. DON'T GO HERE. Where to begin? I got my ear pierced at the end of 2015, which caused bumps to grow by the piercings that keep growing and growing. They are called keloid scars, and they are the reason I went to see Dr Wilson. ​From the first day I didn't like him. He seemed arrogant and didn't really give me any options as far as treatment. He said that they were too small to remove surgically but that we could inject them with Kenalog to soften them and possibly shrink them but that they would not go away. I asked what else we could do if the Kenalog didn't work and he said nothing because they were too small and removing them would definitely cause them to grow back. I decided to stick to him given that I had already paid for the doctor's visit and that I was consulting with another plastic surgeon (a friend's mom, in another country) on the phone and she agreed on the Kenalog shots as the first step of the treatment. The fact that I didn't like him didn't necessarily mean that he'd be a bad doctor, right? We did the injections and a month later when I went back for the second round he said that the first round didn't do anything and that there was nothing else to do. No plan B, no nothing. That consultation lasted no more than 10 minutes and I was sent a bill for $65 for it. The first consultation was about $70 and the one round of injections was around $60. The whole thing was about $200. Not too bad but given the amount of time he spent with me that was steep. 6 months passed and the bumps had grown dramatically, so I decided to see the doctor again. I called and I was asked for a picture. I sent it via email but didn't hear back. I called back a week later they said that they had issues with their internet so asked me to send the picture again The doctor said that he would remove them surgically for $1500 if done privately. I asked about filing this with my health insurance and his office said that they would have to get it pre-approved, which takes 4-6 weeks. I asked for the CPT codes to talk to my health insurance myself (to see if they would cover the procedure without having to wait the 6 weeks) and they said they would get them to me once they talked to the doctor. I waited for a week and called back to ask for the codes but they said that they had been busy and hadn't had time to get them. It has been months. They never called me back. ​ ​I decided to go to another doctor because I didn't like Dr Wilson in the first place and because his office was wasting my time (which meant that my keloids kept getting bigger). I went to my consultation and the new doctor told me that one round of injections alone wouldn't have helped, but that I should have had multiple rounds of injections instead. He also said that I should have gotten them removed when they were smaller because the chances of them coming back are way lower when not so much tissue is removed. He recommended that we did rounds of injections and then surgery, and provided other things to try if plan A wasn't successful. In other words, Dr Wilson wasted my time (and money), stopped treatment too early, and gave me bad advice. He sent me home and discouraged me from treating the keloid scars for months. The bumps got way bigger (about 5 times the size) and when I got them removed I had much greater chances of them coming back. Not to mention that when they were smaller they didn't hurt but when they got bigger they hurt to sleep on and the injections were much more painful. I lived with these huge itchy painful bumps for about a year thanks to him, plus his office didn't even have the courtesy to call me back with stupid CPT codes to see if my insurance would cover any of it. I was (and still am) SO ANGRY I looked into suing for negligence, but apparently no death = no case. Now I just want to warn people so they don't go through the same. He might be good at other cosmetic procedures, but SCAR TREATMENT IS NOT ONE OF THEM. I wish he would have told me that this wasn't his specialty and recommended another doctor, instead of experimenting on me. read more

We took our son to Wilson Plastic Surgery for EarWells due to prominent ears. After many hours of traveling we were very disappointed when the EarWells did not work what so ever. Our son's ears looked better for about a week then went back to how they were prior to getting the EarWells. I called and told the doctor my sons ears had gone back to how they were prior to the EarWells and they asked me to email pictures. I sent the pictures and never heard back from the office. Full disclosure I am currently filing a complaint with the medical board against this practice. First the day of my appointment I was asked to move my appointment to earlier which I agreed to but wasn't seen till after the original appointment time. During the consultation for breast reduction I was uncomfortable with both un professional comments and the way he handled my breast. I thought maybe I was overly sensitive but wanted to be comfortable with the surgeon I choose. I ended up getting a second opinion and was very comfortable with the professionalism at the second doctor. Also they told me the info I had been given at Dr Wilson's was inaccurate. I called Dr Wilson's to tell them NOT to move ahead with the precertification request. I was told it was already submitted. This was in February. I figured I would let my insurance process it and then see if they would switch doctors on it. I just talked to my insurance company today 4/9/19. It wasn't even submitted till March 26th so I totally could have let the second surgeon submit it. read more

I had breast reduction surgery in Jan 2016. I have had a wonderful experience. The ladies in the office are so friendly and helpful. The worst part of the surgery has been recovering from the Lipo. I understand that is very normal. I am now three weeks out and I would not think twice about doing it all over again. Dr. Wilson used Earwells on our 8 day old son and I am so pleased with the results. My sons ears were deformed at birth, one was curled in and the other was very pointy. Dr. Wilson got us in very quickly after I contacted him because the sooner you get the Earwells on your newborn the quicker they work. When we got to the office, Dr. Wilson did an assessment and determined that Earwells could help both ears. The Earwell is basically a mold that goes over the ear and holds it in place. He had to shave the hair around both ears to adhere the earwell. Since the Earwell works by just holding the ear in position, there was no pain or crying involved in putting the Earwells on. Once they were on they didn't seem to bother my son at all. We did keep his hands in the onesies with cuffs basically the whole time he had the Earwells on because the arms are constantly moving at that age and he could of easily pulled them off unintentionally. We went back once a week for the next 3 weeks and Dr. Wilson moves them around slightly to make sure the ear is forming right and so the specific areas being held don't get sore. After 3.5 weeks he took the Earwells off and my sons ear were shaped perfectly, they were a little red right after removal. However, the day after the Earwells were removed the ears were no longer red and looked perfect. The hair around the ear took a while to grow back and it looked as though we gave him a very funny haircut for quite a while. My son just turned 3 months and the hair has grown back and his ears look perfect. I am so happy that I found Dr. Wilson when I did because the results are amazing.
