Dr. Danaceau is absolutely wonderful as is his staff. The surgery itself seemed complicated and he did a great job and I've had a relatively smooth recovery. He never makes you feel dumb for asking a question and he absolutely gives you his full time and attention during the visits, which is not always the case with doctors. His staff have been just so thoughtful and courteous each and every time I've been there. I particularly appreciate the front desk staff who was really kind to me when I had an issue with my physical therapist and listened thoughtfully and took notes even though we were talking about a billing matter related to PT. I had to wait about 45 minutes one follow-up visit, but considering I was fit in as an emergency appointment after my accident and I'm sure someone else had to wait for me, I appreciate that the staff fit that person it because having been in that kind of pain, that person definitely deserved to go first. Other than that time I have always been seen on time. The online portal is fantastic to review your follow up notes and they are really timely about getting any forms filled out you need for other providers or any other reason.

Upon arrival, the whole concern appeared to be about making sure I paid up front before I could be seen. Then, I waited nearly an hour to be seen by Dr., receiving exactly 2.5 minutes of his time. Dr. recommended a procedure which I dutifully completed out of office, then returned with results for follow up appointment--at HIS recommendation, for which I also got charged. And this time only got 1.5 minutes of his time, no plain English explanation or clear recommendation--just a diagnostic write up I couldn't understand because I'm not a doctor. It was a waste of time, and I know which doctor I will not be going back to visit.

Excellent Surgery... Abysmal Follow-up…read more I saw Dr. Agolini for a hernia repair and had a great experience. However, 2 years later I returned with severe pain at the surgery site, worried the repair had failed due to a recent pregnancy. That consult was the worst I've ever had. Dr. Agolini was defensive and dismissed my symptoms as "psychosomatic," explaining the term (which I already knew) in a patronizing, mansplaining way. This kind of dismissal of young women in medicine is far too common, and the experience was genuinely traumatizing. I had to push just to get a CT scan referral. While he is highly skilled technically, and had a great bedside manner during the original procedure, he did not treat my follow-up concerns with respect. His ego seemed bruised at my suggestion that the repair might have failed. (By the way, It turned out the pain was NOT in my head, which, again, I already knew. I later received a diagnosis from a different doctor for a separate condition and was treated for it.)

I had never heard of Dr. Agolini when I first met him in the hospital, but just his bedside manner and confidence reflected how wonderful of a doctor he was. He was very involved with my recovery and seeing him in the office went smoothly. He has a very nice team and my surgery went flawless. I am a medical professional with over a decade of experience and I can't recommend Dr. agolini enough. 10/10 experience

I dread all things dentist-related, so much so that I've been putting off getting my wisdoms…read moreextracted for 15 years. They weren't causing problems, but they sure weren't helping, either. My dentist referred me to Dr Corcoran to have them removed, so I called and made an appointment for consultation. I was able to get in the same week, and the receptionist patiently explained all the location and time options I had. I was nervous about my consultation. I had never had any kind of surgery in my life, and I didn't know how much damage my wisdoms were in for. Dr Corcoran came in, and assuming he's met many nervous patients, he immediately calmed my nerves with a few awesome dentist jokes. He showed me the X-ray, explained everything that would be done, and I left feeling great about it. I got on board, and scheduled the real appointment for a couple weeks later. Fast forward to today; I had all four wisdom teeth removed, 1 of which was impacted, the rest simple extractions. I got the works with the laughing gas and the general anesthesia, and when I woke up an hour later, huzzah...no wisdom teeth. Surprisingly, I am in no pain despite having taken only 2 Advil right after the surgery. The numbness has gone away, and I have some swelling on the impacted side, but no pain. Huh. Dr Corcoran even called me at 9pm to see how I was doing. He noted that I sounded awfully chipper, and expressed that I should continue to take care of my wounds, even with no pain. How incredibly thoughtful of the guy to call me long after the workday is over, to make sure I wasn't dying or allergic to the antibiotics. My husband said that right after surgery I told him, "Gosh I feel great, I wish I felt this way all the time!" I think that means Dr Corcoran is doing something exactly right.

The reason for the 1 star is due to their billing department. Went in approximately 4 weeks prior…read moreto the actual wisdom teeth removal surgery for the consultation. After the confrontation, we went over the billing to my insurance and the lady said this is all the doctor will do and this is what your insurance will pay. Stupid of me to believe a person is able to do their job but she explicitly left out big charges such as removal of a tooth, consultation charges and other miscellaneous charges. My interesting is that it cannot be this colossal of a mistake and she purposely did this to show me lower charge. After completing the surgery they bill me and guess what, they added major items, like removal of the tooth they were supposed to get out along other items. On top of that, i called the billing department and the lady lied to my face saying this was all billed to the insurance during the consultation and she will send me the proof. What she sent me is proving they did not send the full charges to the insurance. There's a bunch of good doctors out there and this one is not worth it just because of their incompetent billing department in the arlington office.
