Coming to Horrigan at 10am on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised to be the only one in there for most of the 2 loads I washed . Its perfectly clean, efficient and brightly lit. $4.50 to wash and a quarter buys you 5-6 mins on the larger dryer. Save a little cash by loading as much as you can in the large washers and dryers. They actually do work quite well and efficiently. I am curious if those Tide pods or similar brands would work on these? I was stupid and forgot to bring my own detergent but of course they have that there in a vending machine... for $0.75 a wack. They also had bleach, and softeners. There is a vending machine inside with a limited about of soda, but Dunkin Donuts is only steps away next door. I will be back as this was probably the only laundry experience I've had in the last 10 years that didn't involve sweating profusely and carrying a truckload of clothes up or down a million flights of stairs. I will however bring my own detergent and probably a blanket! My only grip is I wish this was a little more comfortable to hang out - its super cold in there it seems..not terrible for summer but was rather bitter on a snowy morning. The bathroom was clean but it was also at one point a broom closet, so make sure you use the bathroom before you come to do your laundry! I heard that this cleaning company also does professional rug cleaning and they also do a wash/dry/fold service but it is NOT at this location. You have to call and set that up. From what I understand, the wash dry fold service is reasonably priced. But if someone is going to drop off my laundry, they can take like all of my money.

The first machine took 7 quarters, but only registered 6 of them, and didn't accept any more to get to the $2/load amount. It also didn't give us the money back. Grumble, grumble. THEN, the second machine took my coins with a bit of manipulation of coin insertion, it ran a cycle, and after 40 minutes on "normal" the clothes were just as wet as they went in, and not warm/hot at all. I should have changed machines again, but instead I ran other cycle on heavy/high for ANOTHER 40 minutes. At the end, the clothes were just a bit warm and only slightly less damp. We bagged up our damp clothes that had been in a machine for 80 minutes, $5.75 poorer in regards to the drying attempts, went back to our place, found a drying rack and hung everything up for two days (high humidity right now) 'til dry. A royal pain. I'm assuming they're not cleaning their dryer venting at all. Home dryer vents should be cleaned out once a year ideally, so I assume a laundry business should clean theirs a lot more often. I suspect it's not happening. Also, they need to replace their coin mechanisms on the driers. I feel we were taken advantage of re. our loss of money and loss of time. There was no employee on site to help. The place could also use some cleaning, but it wasn't trashed. Just scruffy, tape all over windows from past fliers, etc.

Recently came back from a long trip and the last thing on earth we wanted to do was the 6 loads of laundry we left behind or the ultra dirty clothes still in our luggage. I printed up the groupon for 40 lbs of laundry for $20. Heaved my laundry into my car and headed down. They open at 7am so it was really perfect before work to get those clothes off my mind. Weighed in at the intake and a nice woman said she'd call me when they were done. I was new so I left my phone # and address on a sticky note at the counter. The whole day passed and I never got a phone call. Late in the day before I left work, I figured I'd give them a shout. A different girl answered and confirmed my clothes were done. No call. but hey they are done! I got there and they had already put my clean clothes in a laundry carrier to make it a litle easier to get outside to my car. Because I had gone over the 40 lbs ( yeah tons of clothes it was embarrassing almost) Easy checkout, processed the groupon without any issue and they have a tablet POS system so you can sign with your finger and get an email receipt! The staff person was extremely helpful and patient with me. He helped me with the machines because it had been a while since I've been to a laundromat. The interior was overall incredibly clean. They have a TV area with seating and a separate lounge area with seating and snacks. As expected, some machines were out of service, but I estimate 80% were fully functional.
