Recently they have a new management company which I feel has declined the already lacking customer service. Two situations occurred and I am truly devastated that I will no longer be using their services. I purchased new lenses for glasses I previously purchased there. never had there been a warranty that you had to purchase. AT NO TIME did anyone offer a warranty or mention the change. It wasn't on paperwork it was never brought up I also looked online and couldn't find anything. The first time I've ever chipped a lens (which honestly makes me question if it was the same type of lens) and I paid $245 for new lenses and there were no options unless paying full price again. They were super rude when I called. I am sure I was not overly friendly either. I had been having some eye issues. So I called prior to the lens incident. That was October 2021, they told me they could get me in in March 2022. At that point, I told them to cancel my regular March appointment. Thankfully I was able to get in to see a different eye doctor, but when I called to get my information sent over they REFUSED to send it and said the new doctor would need to request it. Even after the new doc requested it they didn't send it. And when I called to check they got the request they said yeah well try to get to it and hung up. They never sent it over and said they couldn't find something the new doctor needed as a comparison. Truly at a loss. I would no longer recommend this business.

Do NOT go here if you are on TRICARE It cost me 250.00 out of pocket for charges according to my…read moreinsurance were without authorization( I assumed they got authorization.. my bad) If you are military they are not authorized according to my February 2021 bill for a 2018 charge that I am now getting interest charges on. I am so sad I went here. Going to be paying for a long time. Services were great! I am sad and not sure how things went so wrong In the end you don't want surprise charges, just make sure your Tricare insurance covers this yourself before you agree too procedures. Even one of their pretty pictures of your eye, cost me a lot.

Was now told it'll be 7-10 more days before I get the glasses.was told to be grateful that I'm getting them at all. That they don't make money on glasses they done it as a favor to me. Spoke with the owner concerning the way customers are being treated. She defended her employee. And that she does not want any of CSX railroads business anymore. So if you want to be treated extremely rude and disrespectful. And don't care if you need your glasses in a reasonable amount of time or who knows if I will get them at all now. Go see these folks they won't help you out!

As an update to my 2023 appointment for new glasses: I recently had an eye exam at another facility…read moreand was given a new prescription that was supposed to be a minor tweak on my current glasses. I compared the new prescription to my latest prescription and it seemed more like a major change instead of a minor adjustment. Not being an expert, I went ahead and ordered the updated lenses from Rome Eye Care. When they came in and I put them on, the vision in my left eye was good but I could see better out of the right lens without the glasses. I figured I just had to wear them for a while to get used to them. After two weeks of constant wear, my vision was not any better out of the right eye. I returned to Rome Eye care and they read the lenses on their machine and confirmed they matched the prescription I had been given, which I figured they did. They agreed with me that the new prescription was a major change from the lenses I have been wearing since 2023. They said I should go back to the original clinic and have them recheck my eyes. The original office I went to could not give me a repeat exam until June. I let Rome Eye Care know that I wouldn't be back anytime soon so they weren't expecting a quick return. The very next day they called and said that Dr. Reeves said for me to come in and he would re-examine my eyes. A new exam was performed and it was found that the prescription I was given by the other optometrist was over corrected for the left eye and was even a bit stronger than I needed for the right eye. During his evaluation he was able to correct my prescription to give me 20/20 vision. I know this is kind of long, but the people at Rome Eye Care center are really great. Based on how quickly they accommodated the exam and the expert treatment I received, I will probably use them as my primary for eye care.

It has been a long time…read moresince I have worked with a professional optometrist that is honest to a fault and bends over backwards to help you, educate you, and give you a great deal! This guy does business the old-fashioned way! Honest, earnest, and meticulous. I love my new glasses! They fit, they are comfy, and they are durable! Plus, my refurbished sunglasses can't be beat! Yes, instead of selling me a new frame unnecessarily, he refurbished my old sunglasses as good as new! I couldn't believe how much of a conscientious and customer-focused man Mr Steve is! You will not go wrong trusting Mr Steve with your optometry needs!! He is simply the best. He also encourages routine follow-up visits to correct and tighten your frames as needed. I got mine in December and am due to stop back by soon! I am so grateful to have been recommended to him!! Thank you, Mr. Steve!!
