Coffee maker in room was one if the cleanest I've ever seen in a hotel. AC has option to be cranked low and actually work. Bathroom also had pumps with shampoo, etc. Only downsides, so you are asked smoking or non smoking when checking in but our room smelled like at some point someone had smoked there. It was obvious but it wasn't so bad that it bothered us. I'm pretty sensitive to cigarette smoke but you really didn't notice it once you turned on the ac and were in there for a bit. I did notice a few small burn holes in the top comforter of one of the beds. Luckily, there was not a ton of night traffic so it wasn't bad being so close to the road.

I flew into Houston for a last-minute business trip and needed a credit card authorization form processed in accordance with my company's travel policies. I understand that hotels may have procedures in place due to fraud concerns, and I was willing to work within those constraints. I even offered to personally pay for the first night while allowing time for the authorization paperwork to be completed for the remainder of my stay. Unfortunately, the interaction with Forest, the Operations Manager, became unnecessarily confrontational. Despite explaining that I am a frequent guest who has stayed at this property multiple times and spent thousands of dollars here over the years, I was repeatedly told that he did not know who I was and that the situation was not his issue. What concerned me most was not the hotel's policy itself, but the manner in which the situation was handled. When I attempted to explain that hospitality is built on relationships and guest experience, I was told I was putting too much energy into the matter and that I could take my business elsewhere. I was also told to book through Expedia or another source, despite explaining that doing so would violate my company's travel policies. The conversation ultimately escalated to the point where I was told that local non-emergency authorities would be contacted, which felt completely unnecessary and disproportionate given that I was simply attempting to discuss a business travel accommodation issue. I have always chosen this hotel because of its location, comfortable rooms, and previous experiences. However, this interaction left me feeling that guest loyalty, professionalism, and reasonable problem-solving were not valued. I hope Hilton and the property's leadership review how situations like this are handled in the future. Policies are important, but so is treating guests with respect and professionalism, especially long-time Hilton Honors members who are trying to find a solution rather than create a conflict.

I had a reservation for an overnight stay because I was attending the Train and REO Speedwagon concert. This is my second stay in this hotel. The hotel is about 18 months old, I believe. (The first time I stayed I was told that it was around three months old.) I was allowed to check-in a little more than hour before the designated time of 3:00pm. And, without an extra charge to my bill. Thank you for the weekend staff-on-duty who advised me to call the day-of my reservation to ask if there was any availability of a room. My assigned room was a very cool 66 (Fahrenheit) degrees. Which was absolutely wonderful after dealing with the outside "feels like" temperature of 100 and sweating. Lol. Upon inspection of the room, it looked like everything was included, even the ironing board! (Read a previous review of another hotel stay about said ironing board). Plus everything necessary was in working order: shower's water and pressure were just right. Amenities -- shampoo, conditioner, and body wash -- were included in the shower just in case you forget your toiletries. The only I found disappointing was that there was a couple of water stains on top of one of the tables. Note to previous and future guest(s): use a paper napkin or toilet paper to avoid stains on furniture. Sorry, not sorry about noting what is on my pet peeves list. Otherwise, I had a good night's sleep. Oh, a little digression, the Train / REO Speedwagon concert was cancelled. I didn't know that until I was settled in my room. I'll be staying here again next month when Glass Animals come to perform at the Woodlands Pavilion. Hopefully, that concert doesn't get cancelled. Oh well, I'll have another chance to rave about the hotel.
